June 29 Devotion - God's support and Encouragement

I searched the Bible for God’s promises for support and encouragement for the time I need it the most and found God telling me:

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9  

The Lord is near to you because you have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit.Psalm 34:17-20

My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness. 2 Corinthians 12:9   

All things will work together for good for you because you love God, Romans 8:28

 Make sure to rejoice always, pray without ceasing, and in everything give thanks 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and your mind in Christ Jesus. ” Philippians 4:7

أَلَمْ آمُرْكَ؟ إِذَنْ تَقَوَّ وَتَشَجَّعْ، لاَ تَرْهَبْ ولاَ تَجْزَعْ لأَنَّ الرَّبَّ إِلَهَكَ مَعَكَ حَيْثُمَا تَتَوَجَّهُ». ﻳﺸﻮﻉ 1:9

فَقَالَ لِي: «نِعْمَتِي تَكْفِيكَ، لأَنَّ قُدْرَتِي تُكَمَّلُ فِي الضَّعْفِ!» فَأَنَا أَرْضَى بِأَنْ أَفْتَخِرَ مَسْرُوراً بِالضَّعَفَاتِ الَّتِي فِيَّ، لِكَيْ تُخَيِّمَ عَلَيَّ قُدْرَةُ الْمَسِيحِ. ﻛﻮﺭﻧﺜﻮﺱ ﺍﻟﺜﺎﻧﻴﺔ 12:9

 وَإِنَّنَا نَعْلَمُ أَنَّ اللهَ يَجْعَلُ جَمِيعَ الأُمُورِ تَعْمَلُ مَعاً لأَجْلِ الْخَيْرِ لِمُحِبِّيهِ، الْمَدْعُوِّينَ بِحَسَبِ قَصْدِهِ. ﺭﻭﻣﻴﺔ 8:28

¹⁷ صَلُّوا افْرَحُوا عَلَى الدَّوَام دُونَ انْقِطَاعٍ؛

¹⁸ ارْفَعُوا الشُّكْرَ فِي كُلِّ حَالٍ: فَهَذِهِ هِيَ مَشِيئَةُ اللهِ لَكُمْ فِي الْمَسِيحِ يَسُوعَ. ﺍﻻﻭﻝ ﺗﺴﺎﻟﻮﻧﻴﻜﻲ 5:16-18

وَسَلاَمُ اللهِ، الَّذِي تَعْجِزُ الْعُقُولُ عَنْ إِدْرَاكِهِ، يَحْرُسُ قُلُوبَكُمْ وَأَفْكَارَكُمْ فِي الْمَسِيحِ يَسُوعَ. ﻓﻴﻠﻴﺒﻲ 4:7

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You for Your deep, everlasting, and inseparable love for me and Your abundant blessings.

Lord, I thank you for knowing every emotion I go through and for having an answer and support for me today. Strengthen me Lord to be of good courage. Thank You Lord that during my period of weakness Your strength is made perfect. Help me Lord to pray continuously. I rejoice in the assurance that You are with me God wherever I am, that all things will work together for good for me, and that I will rejoice because Your peace God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard my heart and my mind in Christ Jesus; in whose Holy Name I pray. To Him be the power, the glory, the majesty, the blessings, and the dominion forever and ever, Amen.

June 28 Devotion - We walk by faith

For we walk by faith, not by sight.

لاننا بالايمان نسلك لا بالعيان

2 Corinthians 5:7

 

God has given us the ability to solve many of the problems we face; His greater desire for us however, is to live our lives dependent on Him.

We try to walk by faith but sometimes fail. We need to stop trying and trust God fully and live with the knowledge that He is able to do what we cannot do for ourselves. 

For most of us before we get to trust God fully we must get to a point of helpless dependence. In a state of helpless dependence we realize that we simply cannot do it all and need God’s help, guidance and wisdom.

The basic foundation to our Christian faith is to trust God more than we trust ourselves. When we do this, we gain wisdom and hope for every area of life.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You for Your deep, everlasting, and inseparable love for me and Your abundant blessings.

Lord, help me to realize that my total dependence on You is not an indication of weakness on my part, but a sign of strength and confidence in You and Your promises. Help me God to be totally dependent on You. Lord, show me Your ways that I may be holy (consecrated and set apart for You) and walk with You in confidence and trust all the days of my life. In the name of my Lord and Saviour Jesus The Christ, the only begotten Son of God, I pray. To You be the power, the glory, the majesty, the blessings, and the dominion forever and ever, Amen.

June 27 Devotion - God's Healing Power

The LORD will strengthen him on his bed of illness; You will sustain him on his sickbed.

 ³ يَعْضُدُهُ الرَّبُّ عَلَى فِرَاشِ الأَلَمِ، وَيَرُدُّ عَافِيَتَهُ.

Psalm 41:3

Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you.

حَتَّى كَبُرْتُمْ. حَتَّى عِندَما يَشِيبُ شَعرُكُمْ أنا أحمِلُكُمْ.

Isaiah 46:4 ﺃﺷﻌﻴﺎء

We know that Jesus has the healing power and that He performed many miracles when He was on earth. The question many of us sometimes ask is: Does He still heal today? The answer is in the following biblical truth:

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

 ⁸ يَسُوعُ الْمَسِيحُ هُوَ هُوَ أَمْساً وَالْيَوْمَ وَإِلَى الأَبَدِ.

Hebrews 13:8

And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—

وَسَأطلُبُ مِنَ الآبِ، وَسَيُعطِيكُمْ مُعِيْناً آخَرَ لِيَظَلَّ مَعَكُمْ إلَى الأبَدِ.

John 14:16  ﻳﻮﺣﻨﺎ

Jesus told many of those He healed ‘your faith has healed you’. Jesus is still healing and we have The Holy Spirit within us.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourselves and others:

Abba Father, thank You for Your deep, everlasting, and inseparable love for me and Your abundant blessings.

Lord please grant me out of the riches of Your glory, to be strengthened and spiritually energized with power through Your Spirit in my inner self, indwelling my innermost being and personality so that Christ may dwell in my heart through faith. Lord, give me and all who are in need enough faith to receive Your healing. Lord, I pray for all those who are sick and afflicted and for their families. God, give them health and perseverance, help them to go through the tough times knowing You are carrying them. As You taught us Jesus, in Your prayers to The Father, Your will be done. God I pray to You in the name of Your precious Son; The King of kings and Lord of lords, my Redeemer, Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, the power, the dominion, the majesty and the blessings forever and ever and unto ages of all ages. Amen.
