November 10 Devotion - Keep yourselves in God's love

 

For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing.

...But you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit. Keep yourselves in God's love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.

فَأَنَا لاَ أَعْمَلُ الصَّلاَحَ الَّذِي أُرِيدُهُ؛ وَإِنَّمَا الشَّرُّ الَّذِي لاَ أُرِيدُهُ فَإِيَّاهُ أُمَارِسُ

وَأَمَّا أَنْتُمْ أَيُّهَا الأَحِبَّاءُ، فَابْنُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ عَلَى إِيمَانِكُمُ الأَقْدَسِ، وَصَلُّوا دَائِماً فِي الرُّوحِ الْقُدُسِ.َاحْفَظُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ فِي مَحَبَّةِ اللهِ، مُنْتَظِرِينَ رَحْمَةَ رَبِّنَا يَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحِ إِذْ يَعُودُ وَيَأْخُذُكُمْ لِتَحْيَوْا مَعَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, I cannot do it on my own. Father God, please replace my self-effort and my problem-solving techniques with Your power and wisdom. Help me to learn to walk by faith. Jesus, You are my Strength and my Shield. You are the One who can fortify my human frailty with Your supernatural grace. I lean on You today and every day. Saviour, saturate my mind with Your Word and fill me with Your Spirit. Thank You Father for Your abundant blessings, Your grace and Your deep, everlasting and inseparable love for me. Jesus in Your holy name I pray. To Jesus be the authority, the power, the majesty, and the glory since the beginning of time, now, and forevermore. Amen.

November 8 Devotion - Your Name is Inscribed on God's Palm

 

Can a woman forget her nursing child, and not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you. 16 See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands;

   هَلْ تَنْسَى الْمَرْأَةُ رَضِيعَهَا وَلاَ تَرْحَمُ ابْنَ أَحْشَائِهَا؟ حَتَّى هَؤُلاَءِ يَنْسَيْنَ، أَمَّا أَنَا فَلاَ أَنْسَاكُمْ.  

. انْظُرُوا هَا أَنَا قَدْ نَقَشْتُكِ ُ عَلَى كَفِّي

 Isaiah 49:15-16

 God loves us so very much. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 and now the eyes of the Father are forever focused on us because of Christ’s atoning death on the cross for us.

God will never forget us; the followers of Christ; for He has inscribed our names on the palms of His Hands. Neither will He forget the church, the body of believers.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, forgive me if at times I feel that You have forgotten me. Increase my faith so as to know, believe, and trust that You never forget me. I am privileged and thankful that as a believer and follower of Jesus Christ; Your only begotten Son; that I am so precious to You, that my name is written on the palms of Your hands. Thank You Lord for Your abundant blessings and Your deep, inseparable and everlasting love. Lord, I praise You, glorify You and lift You up on high. Father, I pray to You in the name of The King of kings and The Lord of lords, in the holy name of Jesus Christ my Lord and Saviour, to whom be honour, glory and power forever and ever. Amen.

November 7 Devotion - Trust in The Lord

 

It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man. Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; ⁶ In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

 

Psalm 118:8, Proverbs 3:5-6

 

الاحتماء بالرب خير من التوكل على انسان

توكل على الرب بكل قلبك وعلى فهمك لا تعتمد.  في كل طرقك اعرفه وهو يقوم سبلك. وسلام الله الذي يفوق كل عقل يحفظ قلوبكم وافكاركم في المسيح يسوع

Abba Father, I pray that out of Your glorious riches You strengthen me and spiritually energize me with power through Your Spirit in my innermost being and personality, so that I can totally trust in You LORD than to put confidence in people. God, I praise You, revere You, worship You, I stand in awe of You, I lift You up on high, and glorify Your Holy Name. I rejoice in the fact that You are directing my path and that through Jesus; my Lord and Saviour; my heart and mind are guarded. In Jesus’ name I pray. November 4 Devotion - When We Feel Frustrated

 

So too the [Holy] Spirit comes to our aid and bears us up in our weakness; for we do not know what prayer to offer nor how to offer it worthily as we ought, but the Spirit Himself goes to meet our supplication and pleads in our behalf with unspeakable yearnings and groanings too deep for utterance.

Romans 8:26

وَكَذلِكَ الرُّوحُ أَيْضًا يُعِينُ ضَعَفَاتِنَا، لأَنَّنَا لَسْنَا نَعْلَمُ مَا نُصَلِّي لأَجْلِهِ كَمَا يَنْبَغِي. وَلكِنَّ الرُّوحَ نَفْسَهُ يَشْفَعُ فِينَا بِأَنَّاتٍ لاَ يُنْطَقُ بِهَا

 

The Webster Dictionary defines Frustration as: A deep chronic sense or state of insecurity and dissatisfaction arising from unresolved problems or unfulfilled needs.

As humans we sometimes experience a deep sense of frustration that derives from problems or needs beyond our control.

What we need to remember during the period where we are experiencing insecurity and dissatisfaction arising from unresolved problems or unfulfilled needs is: God is in the process of revealing a great lesson to each one of us.

I believe He allows frustrations to build up so that we will be driven back to Him in prayer. His intent is twofold:

1. He wants us to become stronger, lighter, and peaceful once we get on our knees and pray
2. In that mode we can hear His voice better and understand His direction for us.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings and inseparable love. Lord, I need the Spirit Himself to meet my supplication and to plead on my behalf. Jesus, I need to survive my frustrations. You are the One who knows how to satisfy perfectly my every need. Jesus, come to me like You came to Your disciples walking on the water through the storm and help me to sail through the storm Jesus and strengthen me spiritually, emotionally, and physically and give me rest for in Your Holy name I pray. To Jesus be the power, the glory, the majesty, the blessings, and the dominion forever and ever, Amen.

November 3 Devotion - Confess

 

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

ان اعترفنا بخطايانا فهو امين وعادل حتى يغفر لنا خطايانا ويطهرنا من كل اثم

1 John 1:9

The good news of ‘The New Testament’ is that when we receive Jesus as our Saviour and make Him Lord over our lives, the past is erased in God’s eyes. We may make mistakes from time to time but if we confess our sins God is faithful and just to forgive our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

 Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; ²⁴ and see if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

ختبرني يا الله واعرف قلبي امتحني واعرف افكاري.

 وانظر ان كان فيّ طريق باطل واهدني طريقا ابديا

Psalm 139:23-24

 

I invite you to meditate on the following prayer and repeat it for yourself:

Abba Father, please help me to uproot any negative seeds that I have sown in the past and help me to sow Godly seeds into my future. I want to reap the harvest of being in Your will and reap the blessings You have prepared for me. Teach me to always confess my sins to You and to receive Your cleansing of all unrighteousness. Lead me O’Lord in the way everlasting. Thank You Father God for Your abundant blessings and inseparable love. To Him who is able to keep me from stumbling and to present me before His glorious presence without fault and with great joy, to the only God our Saviour be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore. Amen. Jude 1:24-25

November 2 Devotion - The Holy Spirit

 

“I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), to be with you forever— ¹⁷ the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive [and take to its heart] because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He (the Holy Spirit) remains with you continually and will be in you.”

 وَأَنَا أَطْلُبُ مِنَ الآبِ فَيُعْطِيكُمْ مُعَزِّيًا آخَرَ لِيَمْكُثَ مَعَكُمْ إِلَى الأَبَدِ، 17رُوحُ الْحَقِّ الَّذِي لاَ يَسْتَطِيعُ الْعَالَمُ أَنْ يَقْبَلَهُ، لأَنَّهُ لاَ يَرَاهُ وَلاَ يَعْرِفُهُ، وَأَمَّا أَنْتُمْ فَتَعْرِفُونَهُ لأَنَّهُ مَاكِثٌ مَعَكُمْ وَيَكُونُ فِيكُمْ

 John 14:16–17

We need the Holy Spirit; whom Jesus sends to live in every believer; to:

 

1. Comfort us when we experience pain and sorrow. 
2. Guide us into the full truth about Jesus Christ.
3. Direct our steps daily, and to help us make wise choices and Godly decisions.
4. Remind us of God’s commandments and the truth of Jesus Christ so we will know what to do and what to say in any situation in which we find ourselves.
5. Convict us of our sins and errors so we can repent and make positive changes in our lives.
6. Defeat evil on our behalf.
7. Conform us to the image of Christ Jesus.
8. We need the Holy Spirit to make us whole.

 

 

I invite you to repeat the following Prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, I want to be so intimate with You that I can hear Your voice and have divine wisdom for every decision. Heavenly Father, I know Your way is best, no matter how good the other options appear. Attune my ears and heart to the voice of Your Holy Spirit. Make me willing to obey. Thank You Father God for Your unfailing, inseparable, deep and everlasting love for me and Your abundant blessings in my life. Lord, I praise You, glorify You, and lift you up on high. In the Holy Name of Jesus, I pray. To Jesus be the glory, the majesty, and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

November 1 Devotion - Reconciliation

 

But all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ [making us acceptable to Him] and gave us the ministry of reconciliation [so that by our example we might bring others to Him], ¹⁹ that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting people’s sins against them [but canceling them]. And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation [that is, restoration to favor with God].

وَلكِنَّ الْكُلَّ مِنَ اللهِ، الَّذِي صَالَحَنَا لِنَفْسِهِ بِيَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحِ، وَأَعْطَانَا خِدْمَةَ الْمُصَالَحَةِ، 19أَيْ إِنَّ اللهَ كَانَ فِي الْمَسِيحِ مُصَالِحًا الْعَالَمَ لِنَفْسِهِ، غَيْرَ حَاسِبٍ لَهُمْ خَطَايَاهُمْ، وَوَاضِعًا فِينَا كَلِمَةَ الْمُصَالَحَةِ.

2 Corinthians 5:18-19 

Because Jesus died for the forgiveness of our sins and was resurrected, those who accept Him as their Saviour and Lord over their lives are reconciled with God. The word ‘reconcile’ means to restore friendship or harmony.

Peace is ultimately the condition that can exist between God and man because of the redeeming work of Christ.

 I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings and Your deep, unfailing, inseparable love. Lord, please strengthen me and lead me to always bow at the feet of Jesus and offer my life to Him. Thank You Jesus for the precious gift of reconciliation and peace that You gave me through the Cross. Without this gift of grace, I was separated from God. Thank You Jesus for paying the price of this fathomless gift of grace at the Cross. In Jesus’ name I pray. To Him who is able to keep me from stumbling and to present me before His glorious presence without fault and with great joy, to the only God our Saviour be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore. Amen. Jude 1:24-25
