June 29 Devotion - Hearing God's Voice

Whoever is of God hears the words of God. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. Moreover, he said to me, “Son of man, all my words that I shall speak to you receive in your heart, and hear with your ears.

Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,”

Whenever you turn to the right hand Or whenever you turn to the left.

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

John 8:47

John 10:27-28

Ezekiel 3:10

Isaiah 30:21

Psalm 119:105

Does God still speak to us today? If I listen, will He speak personally to me? The answer based on God’s grace is YES! God is always available to hear from us and I believe He wants us to hear His voice. God loves us and we need to love Him back so as to be able to hear His voice. We will probably not hear an audible voice however we will ‘hear’ His direction and choice within our spirit.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, You are my teacher and guide, teach me to listen and hear Your voice distinctively. I will be still and know that You are God Psalm 46:10 LORD, I pray that out of Your glorious riches You strengthen me with power through Your Spirit in my inner being, so that I can have a strong faith that You will talk to me, and I will hear You and obey Your will. You will show me the path of life Psalm 16:11 You will instruct me and teach me in the way I should go; You will guide me with Your eye. Psalm 32:8. Let Your word be a lamp unto my feet and a light to my path. Thank You Father God that You love me and that Your love is unfailing, steadfast, deep, and everlasting. Thank You Father for Your abundant blessings in my life, and for the riches of Your grace upon my life. I declare Jesus as my Lord and Saviour and I pray in His Holy Name. To Jesus be the power, the glory, the majesty, the blessings, and the dominion forever and ever, Amen.

June 28 Devotion - WALKING BY GOD'S WORD

Let us seize and hold tightly the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is reliable and trustworthy and faithful [to His word]

Hebrews 10:23

We should always live according to God’s wisdom and walk by faith not by sight. We should trust the Holy Spirit to guide us, and not our emotions or impulses. God always keeps His promises.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You that Your deep steadfast love for me endures forever. Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings. Lord You are good, and I praise You and glorify You. Lord, please help me to be patient and wait for Your way to be declared to me. Strengthen me Lord to be dependent on You and not decide on my own for You are trustworthy and faithful to Your promises. Father God, I pray to You in the name of Your precious Son; my Redeemer and Saviour; the Lord of my life, Jesus Christ. To Jesus be the power, the glory, the majesty, the blessings, and the dominion before all time and now and forevermore. Amen.

Jesus loves you,

June 26 Devotion - Let's be Compassionate

Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.

Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

 Philippians 2:4

Matthew 7:5

We are to break the spirit of selfishness, and to have a benevolent regard for the happiness of others. Jesus teaches us to be kind to one another and to love our neighbour as we love ourselves. We need to be compassionate one to another in order to experience the benefit of God’s compassion toward us. While we should be concerned for believers’ interests, we are not to interfere in their business.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, please teach me, strengthen, and guide me, to care about others as much as I care about myself. Help me to esteem others and look upon and be concerned for their interests. Give me wisdom to give them advice, and humility to not insist that they follow my advice or be offended if they do not follow it. Lord, give me insight and self-awareness to be able to see my own defects, and grant me kindness to make allowances for the defects of others. Lord strip me from any pride that may be hindering me from carrying out your commandments. Thank You Father for Your abundant blessings and for Your deep, everlasting, and inseparable love. In Jesus’ mighty name I pray. To Jesus be the majesty, the power, the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

 Jesus loves you,

In Him,

June 22 Devotion- The Great Commission

Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in[a] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

Matthew 28:18–20

I have read Jesus’ ‘Great Commission’ many times yet consider that I have done very little personally to expand the knowledge of the truth. While giving money to Christian organizations and missionary work is highly regarded and is a blessing, I understand the great commission to be one where we each have a role to talk about the good news and the truth about Jesus to all those who do not believe and/or do not know the good news and the truth. Do you know anyone who you can help, even if you just forward devotions to them, that is a beginning.

What is the good news?

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.

John 3:16

1 John 2:2

What is truth?

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

John 14:6

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings. Expand my focus Jesus and bring me into harmony with Your divine purpose of reaching the world with the good news of the gospel and the truth about Your identity. Lord, help me follow Your commandments and help me to become a disciple and help me to help others become disciples. Thank You Jesus that You are with me always to the very end of the age. I pray in the name of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ the living Son of God to whom be honour, power, and glory forever and ever. Amen.

In Him,

June 19 Devotion - I will see it when I believe it

By faith we understand that the worlds [during the successive ages] were framed (fashioned, put in order, and equipped for their intended purpose) by the word of God, so that what we see was not made out of things which are visible.

Hebrews 11:3

Amplified Bible (AMP)

This verse tells me that I have to look with my eyes of faith because the provision, healing and miracle I need is already available in God’s realm. I believe that I was created by Almighty God to live a blessed and fulfilled life.

I believe that many of us may be living far below the level of what God truly intended for us because we do not have enough faith and imagination to see God’s plan and believe how it could happen.

Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

Mark 11:24  ﻣﺮﻗﺲ

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, I pray that out of Your glorious riches You strengthen me with power through Your Spirit in my inner being, so that I can look with my eyes of faith and believe that You have a glorious plan for my life and see it materialize because that which I will see was not made out of things which are visible, as Jesus said “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26 Help me Lord to focus on You, not on my circumstances. Help me Lord to pray for things that are aligned with Your will and help me to believe that I have received them, so that I can have them. Thank You Lord for Your unfailing, inseparable, deep and everlasting love for me, Your abundant blessings in my life, and for the riches of Your grace upon my life. God, I pray to You in the name of Your precious Son, my Redeemer, Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, the power, the dominion, the majesty, and the blessings before all time and now and forevermore. Amen.

June 16 Devotion - God's Grace - Part 4

… having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.

Ephesians 1:5-6

Ephesians 1:5–6 teaches us that God’s will was to adopt us as His own through the work of Christ. God’s will is that we would have the strongest possible relationship with Him through the most precious relationship He has ever created which is His relationship with His Son Jesus Christ.

Every believer in Jesus as his/her Lord and Saviour is immensely loved by God and we are adopted into His spiritual family, we are His children. Salvation is a position of great blessing, each one of us can enjoy being a child of God and receive His blessings and gifts of mercy and grace and start living eternity NOW.

Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? 11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!

Mathew 7:9-11

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You that when I accepted Jesus Christ as my Saviour and surrendered to His leadership over my life, I was adopted into Your family. Thank You God for the riches of Your grace. Thank You that You have said that as Your children we can come boldly to Your throne of grace, and obtain mercy, in time of need.  Hebrews 4:16. Father God, I come boldly to Your throne of grace and ask You to help me to always seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, for Jesus said that when we seek them first, all other things will be added unto us. In Jesus’ name I pray, To Jesus be the power, the glory, the majesty, the blessings, and the dominion before all time, and now, and forever. Amen.

June 15 Devotion - God's Grace -Part 3

And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

2 Corinthians 12:9

When we are weak, we need the energizing work of the Holy Spirit to sustain us. Isaiah encourages us that God Gives power to the weak and to those who have no might He increases strength”

Isaiah 40:29

We need to rely fully on God and praise Him ahead of and in expectation of His support.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, in my weakest moments, assure me that the power of Christ will rest upon me. I believe that when Your grace abounds my weakness will be transformed into strength, and I will soar like an eagle, and I shall run and not be weary. Heavenly Father, let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in You. Show me the way I should go, for to You I lift up my soul. Father God thank You for Your abundant blessings and Your deep, everlasting, and inseparable love for me. Lord, I praise You, I glorify You and I rejoice in Your grace. Your grace is sufficient for me. Lord, In the holy name of Your only begotten Son Jesus The Christ, my Lord and Saviour, I pray. To Jesus be the glory and the power and the dominion before all time, now, and forevermore. Amen.

June 14 Devotion - God's Grace - Part 2

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.

Ephesians 2:8-9

To receive God’s saving grace each one of us has the follow role:

  1. Something to admit:

That you have sinned in the sight of God. (we all have)

  1. Something to believe:

That Jesus Christ died on the cross bearing all the guilt and penalty of your sin

3. Something to do:

Accept Jesus Christ to be Lord over your life, your Saviour to cleanse you, your friend to guide and be with you.

Jesus said:

"I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.”

John 3:3

`Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if any one hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him...

Revelation 3:20

Jesus Christ waits outside the door of your life. He will not force his way in. He wants to be asked in. The handle of the door is on the inside; only you can open the door.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, in Your great mercy You have not given me the penalty I deserve. By Your grace You have given me what I do not deserve, repentance and faith in Jesus The Saviour and Lord and a new birth into a living hope. I am born again to a new life as God’s child. Praise be to You. Thank you for making it clear to me that only those who receive Jesus—not merely know about Him— but rely on Him for salvation, submitting to Him as Master, and loving Him as their supreme treasure—become God’s children. For by grace I have been saved through faith, and that not of myself; it is Your gift God, it is not by my good works, lest I should boast. In the name of the only begotten Son of God, in the Holy Name of Jesus The Christ, my Lord and Saviour, I pray. To Jesus be the glory, the power, and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

In Him,

June 13 Devotion- God's Grace - Part 1

Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.

2 Peter 1:2, Ephesians 2:8

Grace in mentioned around 170 times in the Bible. Let’s study God’s Grace. It will take 4 devotions to cover it.

 God’s Grace is:

A favour and an unfathomable gift that we receive from God even though we do not deserve it. It is God's unmerited favour.

God’s Grace is different from God’s Mercy.

God’s Mercy is:

God withholding judgment and punishment that we deserve.

Because of God's mercy, we do not receive God’s judgment against our sins; because of God's grace, we receive eternal life and a promise of heaven though we do not deserve them.

We receive both God’s Mercy and God’s Grace only through our Lord Jesus Christ.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You that as Your child I can come boldly to Your throne of grace, and obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16. Heavenly Father, I ask You to help me always seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, for Jesus said that when we seek them first, all other things will be added unto us. Father God, thank You for Your abundant blessings in my life, and for the riches of Your grace upon my life. Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Ephesians 3:20-21 Amen.

June 12 Devotion - It is all from God

For who makes you differ from another? And what do you have that you did not receive? Now if you did indeed receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?

1 Corinthians 4:7

Although we all want to feel good about ourselves, let us immediately recognize that everything we have is from God. Whatever blessings, beginning with our talents, our intelligence, our ability to speak languages, our successes, our wealth and going all the way to our salvation is from God. Whatever spiritual gifts we have are from God. Your voice, your organizational abilities, your preaching, and/or your teaching abilities, my writing abilities, and these devotions they are all from God, lest anyone should boast.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You for all my talents, physical attributes, success, and joy in my life, they are all blessings from You Lord. Thank You for this ‘devotion ministry’ that You have given me through these daily devotions, may they be a blessing to everyone reading them. Grant me the humility to always recognize Your hand in everything I am, and everything I own and in everything good in my life. I thank You for the grace of Your Salvation through Jesus Christ, I know that it is a gift that I am chosen for and that I received freely, and that Jesus paid His life for my reconciliation, redemption, and salvation. What a fantastic gift beyond description. Father God, I praise You, revere You, worship You, I stand in awe of You, I lift You up on high, and glorify Your Holy Name. Abba Father, thank You for Your deep and everlasting love of me, Your abundant blessings in my life, and for the riches of Your grace upon my life. In Jesus name I pray. To Jesus be the power, the glory, the majesty, and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

June 9 Devotion - Our journey of faith with Jesus

Jesus replied, "No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God." Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Luke 9:62, Matthew 28:19

When we start our journey of faith by accepting Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, we must never look back. When we are fully committed to Christ, we will be committed to His mission. Jesus was committed to the Father and to The Father’s mission, even to the point of death on The Cross for the remission of our sins. Jesus gave us all a common mission to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Within that common mission God has a special personal mission for each one of us based on the talents and gifts He has given each of us, and our personal mission should be aligned with His common mission for us.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You for Your deep, everlasting, and inseparable love for me and Your abundant blessings. Lord, I praise You for Your work in my life. Jesus, I know that You are committed to me Lord, and I know that You have a purpose and a wonderful plan in store for me. Lord, teach me to always seek Your wisdom, guidance, and support. Help me to stay obedient and committed to You and Your calling for my life. Give me wisdom and insight into my personal mission that You have chosen for me, and the strength to bring it to fruition. Father God , I pray to You in the name of Your precious Son, my Redeemer, Lord , and Saviour Jesus Christ. To Jesus be the glory, the power, the dominion, the majesty, and the blessings forever and ever. Amen.

In Him,
