December 12 Devotion - I am living in God's strength

Sometimes I feel weary but then God strengthens me according to His word. I realize that He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak and those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint. I can do everything (that is in accordance with God’s will) through Christ who strengthens me. God is my refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. I am therefore strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.

Psalm 119:28, Isaiah 40:29,  Philippians 4:13, Psalm 46:1, Ephesians 6:10

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, I pray that out of Your glorious riches You strengthen me with power through Your Spirit in my inner being. Ephesians 3:16. LORD, You are my strength and my song; You are my salvation. I will trust and not be afraid. Isaiah 12:2 LORD You are my shield; my heart leaps for joy and I give thanks to You Lord in songIsaiah 12:2. Lord, in my weakest moments, assure me that the power of Christ will rest upon me. I believe that when Your grace abounds my weakness will be transformed into strength, and I will soar like an eagle, and I shall run and not be weary. I proclaim to the world that Jesus is my Lord and Saviour. To Him who is able to keep me from stumbling and to present me before His glorious presence without fault and with great joy, to the only God our Saviour be glory, majesty, power, and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore. Amen. Jude 1:24-25

December 11 Devotion - Patience and Perseverance

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.

Romans 12:12

Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

Romans 5:3-5

But I obtained mercy for the reason that in me, as the foremost of sinners, Jesus Christ might show forth and display all His perfect long-suffering and patience for an example to encourage those who would thereafter believe on Him for the gaining of eternal life.

1 Timothy 1:16 (AMP)

I understand the meaning of patience as described in the Bible to mean:

Persevering towards a goal, enduring trials, and expectantly waiting for God’s will and His promises to be fulfilled in His time. Patience reveals our faith in God’s timing, omnipotence (unlimited power), and love.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings and for Your deep, everlasting, and inseparable love. Thank You Jesus for being patient with me and allowing me to follow You in spite of my sins and shortfalls. LORD, bless me with the ability to be patient with myself, others, circumstances, and invigorate and strengthen me with all power according to the might of Your glory so as to exercise every kind of endurance and patience with joy. I rejoice because Your peace God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard my heart and my mind in Christ Jesus; in whose holy name I pray to You Father God. I declare Jesus as my Redeemer and Saviour, the Lord of my life. To Jesus be the power, the glory, the majesty, the blessings, and the dominion before all time and now and forevermore. Amen.

December 10 Devotion - Resolving Conflict

Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor [perpetual animosity, resentment, strife, fault-finding] and slander be put away from you, along with every kind of malice [all spitefulness, verbal abuse, malevolence]. Be kind and helpful to one another, tender-hearted [compassionate, understanding], forgiving one another [readily and freely], just as God in Christ also forgave you.

Ephesians 4:31-32

Anger is not intrinsically wrong (Matthew 21:12–17). Anger in response to sin and its ill effects is a form of righteous anger, but when it crosses over the boundary into bitterness or a spirit of vengeance, it is not honouring to God.

Our health and well-being are important reasons for quick resolution of an angry conflict; bitterness must definitely be avoided.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, please do not let anger control me. Teach me to resolve conflict and to replace it with a win-win alternative and to be tenderhearted toward the person(s) I am having conflict with but without accepting a martyr lose-win alternative for myself. Please work on their heart(s) also. Lord, help me to get rid of any desire to get revenge, and to able to quickly forgive just as You God have forgiven me in Christ. Lord help me to realize that my total dependence on You to help me forgive is not an indication of weakness on my part, but a sign of strength and confidence in You and Your promises. Father I thank You for Your unfailing, deep, everlasting, and inseparable love for me and for Your abundant blessings in my life and Your grace upon my life. In the name of my Lord and Saviour Jesus The Christ, the only begotten Son of God, I pray to You Father God. To Jesus be the power, the glory, the majesty, the blessings, and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

December 9 Devotion - Who is Jesus to you?

Who is Jesus to you? - Description: Who is Jesus to you?

When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say the Son of Man is?”

14 They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”

15 “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?”

16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”

17 Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven.

 Matthew 16: 13-17

Many people think that Jesus was: A Prophet, a good teacher, a wise man who had powers. We hear rumblings from ‘The New Age’ followers that he was a man who managed to get in touch with his inner resources and was able to perform miracles because of that.

Jesus for me is:

  • The way, the truth, and the life. He is the only way to The Father God, John 14:6
  • The light of the world, The Son of God, Luke 22:70
  • He has all authority in heaven and on earth, Mathew 28:18
  • He had a sinless life, John 8:46
  • Jesus Christ has the power to forgive sins and provide everlasting life John 11:25, Luke 5:20-21
  • He is coming back Matthew 24:27-30
  • He is my Saviour and Lord over my Life

So the question begging an answer from you is: Who is Jesus to you?

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, I pray that out of Your glorious riches You strengthen me and spiritually energize me with power through Your Spirit in my innermost being and personality, so that I can always follow Jesus and be obedient to His teachings and be able to forgive, to love those who I find are hard to love, to submit to Your authority over my life, to get rid of all dissention, and anything that is displeasing to The Holy Spirit. Lord I pray that everyone will be able to know Jesus in the way You know Him God. Thank You Lord  for Your abundant blessings and Your deep, inseparable and everlasting love. Lord I praise You, glorify You and lift You up on high. Father, I pray to You in the name of Jesus Christ my Lord and Saviour, to whom be honour, glory, majesty, authority, and power forever and ever. Amen.

Jesus loves you,

In Him,

December 4 Devotion - Abundance

Jesus said:

“Give and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”

Luke 6:38

God applies what He preaches. He is a God of abundance. He is always giving us; He wants to pour out His abundance on us until we are so full that we are running over with His abundance.

We should notice however that Jesus said: "Give and it will be given to you." We need to start giving. Giving is not just financial. Spiritual, emotional, acts of service are included and required.

When we obey God in our giving, we get an abundant harvest in return and the cycle repeats itself.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You for Your deep and everlasting love for me, Your abundant blessings, and for the riches of Your grace in my life. Thank You for the gift that no one else can give, Salvation through Jesus Christ. Help me to be a blessing to others and to give in the same way I want to receive, a good measure that is exceeding expectations. Help me to open the door to Your abundance in all areas of my life. I declare Jesus as my Lord and Saviour and I pray in His holy name. To Jesus be the power, the glory, the majesty, the blessings, and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

December 2 Devotion - JESUS UNDERSTANDS

My God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:19

Jesus loves you unconditionally. His love for you is infinite and merciful. Jesus accepts you just the way you are. He never expects you to “get good” before you “get God”—to the contrary, He desires for you to receive Him so He can help you in every area of your life.

Jesus understands you and cares for you. There isn’t any situation in your life that is beyond His awareness, His concern, and His tender care. Jesus understands your hurts and cries with you. He shares your pain and sorrow. He never abandons you in a time of trial or suffering.

being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

Philippians 1:6

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, I place my confidence in You and I am sure that You will help me and carry me to complete all the work that was started in accordance with Your will. Father, keep me in this confidence and increase it daily. God, I trust and believe that You will supply all my spiritual, eternal, emotional, physical and financial needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. May the God of hope fill me with all joy and peace in believing through the experience of my faith that by the power of The Holy Spirit I will abound in hope and overflow with confidence in God's promises. Romans 15:13 Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings in my life, and for the riches of Your grace upon my life. Father God, I pray to You in the name of Your precious Son; my Redeemer and Saviour; the Lord of my life, Jesus Christ. To Jesus be the power, the glory, the majesty, the blessings, and the dominion before all time and now and forevermore. Amen.
