A Time to Cry and a Time to Rejoice

"I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten—
Joel 2:25 (New International Version)
God collects the tears of those who cry out to Him, because He cares even if no one else cares. He is interested in our pain and considers our tears of great value. Tears shed before the Throne of God are never wasted in His Kingdom, He collects them and keeps them safe and He repays us for all those years we shed tears, for all these years the locusts have eaten.

Prayer
Abba Father, thank You for all Your blessings. Thank You for caring so much about every detail of my life. Through Your grace and mercy You record every sorrow and collect every tear I have shed. Lord, I know You will heal every single hurt and pain. You will restore all that has been lost. You see the longings and desires of my heart.                                                                                                            I know that You have my best interest at heart. I will keep standing, keep believing, and keep doing the right things because the One who collects my tears and repays for the years the locusts have eaten will restore every area in my life. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

February 18 Devotion - Eternal Victory

Eternal Victory

I am learning that the greatest lessons and spiritual growth are achieved through what I and the world may consider as defeat or failure. It is at these moments when there is nothing left except God that I realize that God is all I need. That is a great victory in itself, an eternal victory.
It is God taking care of the consequences; our job is to trust Him for the outcome and to say with the apostles Paul and John:

Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. 5 Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

وَلكِنَّنَا، فِي جَمِيعِ هَذِهِ الأُمُورِ، نُحْرِزُ مَا يَفُوقُ الانْتِصَارَ عَلَى يَدِ مَنْ أَحَبَّنَا. ذَلِكَ لأَنَّ الْمَوْلُودَ مِنَ اللهِ يَنْتَصِرُ عَلَى الْعَالَمِ. فَالإِيمَانُ هُوَ الَّذِي يَجْعَلُنَا نَنْتَصِرُ عَلَى الْعَالَمِ. 5 وَمَنْ يَنْتَصِرُ عَلَى الْعَالَمِ إِلاَّ الَّذِي يُؤْمِنُ أَنَّ يَسُوعَ هُوَ ابْنُ اللهِ؟

Reconciled with God

All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.

وَكُلُّ شَيْءٍ هُوَ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللهِ الَّذِي صَالَحَنَا مَعَ نَفْسِهِ بِالْمَسِيحِ، ثُمَّ سَلَّمَنَا خِدْمَةَ هَذِهِ الْمُصَالَحَةِ.

 19 ذَلِكَ أَنَّ اللهَ كَانَ فِي الْمَسِيحِ مُصَالِحاً الْعَالَمَ مَعَ نَفْسِهِ، غَيْرَ حَاسِبٍ عَلَيْهِمْ خَطَايَاهُمْ، وَقَدْ وَضَعَ بَيْنَ أَيْدِينَا رِسَالَةَ هَذِهِ الْمُصَالَحَةِ.

2 Corinthians 5:18-19 
To reconcile is to exchange enmity for friendship, and it usually requires that the cause of enmity or hostility be removed. The cause of hostility between God and man was removed by Jesus taking on the sins of the world. Peace is not merely that state of calmness and ease which we seek in desperate times. It is ultimately the condition that can exist between God and man because of the redeeming work of Christ who through the Cross reconciled us with God.

Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings. Lord, strengthen me to always bow at the feet of Jesus and offer my life to Him. Thank You for the precious gift of reconciliation and peace that You gave me through the Cross which offers me perfect harmony with You. Thank You God for giving Your only begotten Son to die for me, and thank You Jesus for paying the price of this immeasurable gift through Your blood. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Those who Ask will receive answers. Those who Seek will find. Those who Knock will find the door opened for them.

The Lord wants us to pray to Him, not only because it honours Him, but also because it helps us to grow in Him. Furthermore, prayer taps us into His work in the world. At any given moment, we can pray for anyone anywhere on earth and have confidence that the Lord of the entire universe will hear us and respond in the most effective fashion.
For this reason, prayer is one of the best ways to get involved in God’s mission. What a wonderful privilege it is to be able to participate in the expansion of God’s kingdom by asking the Lord to help His children and impact His creation.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings. Lord, teach me to ask, seek, and knock—to persevere in prayer until I receive Your answer. Thank You for all the good and advantageous gifts You gave me, are giving me, and will give me in the future. God please teach me to seek Your face and help me grow in Your word. I knock on the door of Your Peace that surpasses all understanding. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

February 15 Devotion - Knee Mail


Knee Mail

When we get on our knees in front of God and pour our hearts out to Him, He is filled with compassion concerning each one of us. God hears our prayers. Christ will strengthen each one of us to do all what He is asking of each one.

Sometimes we feel depressed and find it hard to pray and especially to get on our knees and pray. During those times we need to remember God’s directions and promises: 


‘Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.'
ادْعُنِي فَأُجِيبَكَ وَأُطْلِعَكَ عَلَى عَظَائِمَ وَغَرَائِبَ لَمْ تَعْرِفْهَا.
Jeremiah 33:3

During these depressed times we also need to remember that:

The LORD is near to the brokenhearted
         And saves those who are crushed in spirit.
الرَّبُّ قَرِيبٌ مِنْ كَسِيرِي الْقَلْبِ، وَيُخَلِّصُ مَسْحُوقِي الرُّوحِ.
Psalm 34:18

February 14 Devotion - Love one another- Happy Valentine's Day

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.
Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

وَصِيَّةً جَدِيدَةً أَنَا أُعْطِيكُمْ: أَحِبُّوا بَعْضُكُمْ بَعْضاً، كَمَا أَحْبَبْتُكُمْ أَنَا، تُحِبُّونَ بَعْضُكُمْ.
الْمَحَبَّةُ تَصْبِرُ طَوِيلاً؛ وَهِيَ لَطِيفَةٌ. الْمَحَبَّةُ لاَ تَحْسُدُ. الْمَحَبَّةُ لاَ تَتَفَاخَرُ وَلاَ تَتَكَبَّرُ.

Do you want to know how much God loves us? He loves us more than the way He expects us to love one another as explained in Corinthians. God loves us so much that He gave His only begotten son, who was wounded for our transgressions and died for our sins, so that we could be reconciled with God.

Abba Father, thank You for all Your abundant love and blessings. Help me Lord to submit myself to You, and to be a blessing to others. Fill my heart with love, and work through me so others may see Your love and compassion. Help me to love others in deed and in truth not just in words 1 John 3:18, so that the world will be filled with Your glory. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

February 4 Devotion - When We Do Not Know What To Pray For


Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
وَكَذلِكَ الرُّوحُ أَيْضاً يُمِدُّنَا بِالْعَوْنِ لِنَقْهَرَ ضَعْفَنَا. فَإِنَّنَا لاَ نَعْلَمُ مَا يَجِبُ أَنْ نُصَلِّيَ لأَجْلِهِ كَمَا يَلِيقُ، وَلَكِنَّ الرُّوحَ نَفْسَهُ يُؤَدِّي الشَّفَاعَةَ عَنَّا بِأَنَّاتٍ تَفُوقُ التَّعْبِيرَ.
Romans 8:26
There are times when life is too big and too complex and we do not know what to pray for. In such times, we also do not know how to present our petitions to God. The Holy Spirit graciously intercedes on our behalf and He helps us in our weaknesses giving wisdom to all who ask of Him.
I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings. Thank You that The Holy Spirit is here to help me especially during those times when I feel weak and do not even know what to pray for. God I believe You can take what I think is a liability and turn it into an asset. God strengthen me to stay in faith, remove any doubt from me, and immerse me in Your wisdom. In Jesus’ name I pray.

February 3 Devotion - Dealing with loneliness


Dealing with loneliness


See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands
“I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

انْظُرُوا هَا أَنَا قَدْ نَقَشْتُكِ يَاصِهْيَوْنُ عَلَى كَفِّي
وَهَا أَنَا مَعَكُمْ كُلَّ الأَيَّامِ إِلَى انْتِهَاءِ الزَّمَانِ

Isaiah 49:16
Matthew 28:20

There is a critical difference between solitude and loneliness:
·      Solitude, is a time where we are alone and enjoy the peace and quiet and where we get in touch with our feelings and can meditate
·      Loneliness, is a time where we are alone but would prefer to be able to fellowship with others

When we feel lonely we should admit our emotions to God. He knows what we are going through, and He wants to be the One to fill that void.
Where God has begun the work of grace, He will perfect it. He will help those who, in humble dependence on him, help themselves. Having our hearts and our hopes focused on God, we shall be carried above all difficulties, and be enabled to lay hold of the prize of our high calling in Christ Jesus.

Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings. Lord, please use my loneliness as a tool to draw me closer to You. I am comforted in the knowledge that I am so special to You that You have inscribed my name on the palms of Your hands, and that as a believer in Jesus Christ; my Lord and Saviour; You love me unconditionally. Thank You Jesus that You will be always with me until the end of the age. In Your name Jesus, my intercessor, I pray to The Father. Amen.

February 2 Devotion- Praying For Others


Praying For Others

The best gift anyone can give to another person(s) is to pray for him/her/them.
Praying for another person not only helps that person find God in the midst of trouble, but also helps us recognize the blessings that God gives us daily.

Intercession is praying for someone else's needs and trusting God to act, even if it's not in the manner or timing we seek.

Jesus prayed for us to The Father, and the apostle Paul prayed for others to Jesus and God. I include their powerful prayers as today’s prayer for us:

“I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, 21 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.”
‘I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance.’
