October 7 Devotion - Be Happy

Whoever trusts in the Lord, happy is he.
In Your presence is fullness of joy;
At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
Proverbs 16:20, Psalm 16:11
To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven

Ecclesiastes 3:1
Today I choose to make it a time to be happy, to be in God’s presence and therefore be full of joy, and stay at His right hand and find pleasures forevermore.
You may say this is not sound doctrine, and I reply: Be happy and rejoice for this is the day The LORD has made.
This is the day the Lord has made;
We will rejoice and be glad in it.
ِ!
Psalm 118:24

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings and Your deep, inseparable and everlasting love. Heavenly Father, please continue to teach me to trust in You so that I can be transformed to be Christlike, to feel Your joy, to be happy, to live Your good and pleasing will for my life. A life full of pleasures forevermore. Lord, fill my heart with laughter and my tongue with songs of joy in appreciation of your blessings bringing all my thoughts into captivity to the obedience of Christ. I pray in Jesus’ mighty name, to Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.

October 6 Devotion - Laugh and Rejoice

He who sits in the heavens shall laugh. He will yet fill your mouth with laughing, And your lips with rejoicing. Be glad in the LORD and rejoice, you righteous; And shout for joy, all you upright in heart! 4 Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!

Psalm 2:4, Job 8:21, Psalm 32:11, Philippians 4:4

Since God created laughter and joy and He himself laughs, this should be something we should do a lot of. Since Christians who have accepted Jesus as their Saviour have the biggest reason to rejoice, we should all be smiling. Being pious does not mean we need to be so strict that we almost frown.

God has a reason to tell us that He will fill our mouths with laughter because He loves us and He created laughter to strengthen our immune system, boost our energy, diminish pain, and protect us from the damaging effects of stress.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings. Lord, thank You that You have a great sense of humour and thank You for creating laughter. Maximize my sense of humour and uplift my approach to life so that I enjoy life more. Fill my mouth with laughter Lord and my lips with rejoicing in Your love. Help me to start living eternity with you from now on. Give me a spirit that always shouts with joy and always rejoices. I proclaim to the world that Jesus is my Lord and Saviour. In the name of the King of kings and Lord of lords, in the Holy Name of Your only begotten Son Jesus, I pray to You Father. To Jesus be the power, the glory, the majesty and the dominion forever and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.

Jesus loves you,

October 5 Devotion - Align your Vision to God's Vision

For the vision awaits an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it is slow in coming wait for it; because it will surely come.  It will not delay.
Habakkuk 2:3

God has a vision for the life of each believer. He also has a vision for us as a family, a church, a community and a country. God has planted seeds of greatness on the inside of each one of us. If you have had challenges in the past, the depth of your valley may be related to the height of your potential mountain top. We need to pray and meditate asking God to show us His vision for each one of us individually and collectively. Once we connect to God’s vision we need to keep hold of the vision, give our dreams a new beginning, and embrace all the blessings God has planned for us.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings and Your deep, inseparable and everlasting love.
Dear Heavenly Father, clarify my spiritual vision Lord and help me to focus on the principles of Your Word. Thank You Father that when my vision is aligned with Your vision for me, I have Your assurance that it will materialize. Lord, give me the strength and wisdom to follow Your leading. Give me patience Lord to wait for You to declare Your vision for me. I rejoice in the hope and the faith and knowledge that my vision is materializing. Amen.

October 2 Devotion - I am living in God's strength

Sometimes I feel weary with sorrow but then God strengthens me according to His word. I realize that He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak and those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. I can do everything (that is in accordance with God’s will) through Christ who strengthens me. God is my refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. I am therefore strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.

Psalm 119:28, Psalm 119:28, Isaiah 40:29,  Philippians 4:13, Psalm 46:1, Ephesians 6:10

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings and Your deep, everlasting and inseparable love.
Lord, I pray that out of Your glorious riches You strengthen me with power through Your Spirit in my inner being. Ephesians 3:16. LORD, You are my strength and my song; You are my salvation. I will trust and not be afraid. Isaiah 12:2 LORD You are my shield; my heart leaps for joy and I give thanks to You Lord in song. Isaiah 12:2. Lord, in my weakest moments, assure me that the power of Christ will rest upon me. Your grace is sufficient for me. I believe that when your grace abounds my weakness will be transformed into strength and I will soar like an eagle and I shall run and not be weary. Amen.

October 1 Devotion - Our journey of faith with Jesus

Jesus replied, "No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God."

Luke 9:62

When we start our journey of faith by accepting Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, we should never look back. We are a new person and cannot live the same way as the old person did.

We know that our old self [our human nature without the Holy Spirit] was nailed to the cross with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin.
Romans 6:6Amplified Bible

When we are fully committed to Christ, we will be committed to His mission. Jesus was committed to the Father’s mission, even to the point of death on The Cross for the remission of our sins.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings and Your deep, everlasting and inseparable love. Lord I praise You for Your work in my life. Jesus I know that You are committed to me Lord, and I know that You have a purpose and a wonderful plan in store for me. Help me to stay obedient and committed to You and Your calling for my life. Give me wisdom and insight into my personal mission that You have chosen for me, and the strength to bring it to fruition. In the name of the King of kings and Lord of lords, in the Holy Name of Your only begotten Son Jesus, I pray to You Father. To Jesus; my Lord and Saviour; be the power, the glory, the majesty and the dominion forever and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.
Jesus loves you,
In Him,
