November 13 Devotion - Que Sera Sera



Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things that are not yet done…, For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.
مخبر منذ البدء بالاخير ومنذ القديم بما لم يفعل
لاني عرفت الافكار التي انا مفتكر بها عنكم يقول الرب افكار سلام لا شر لاعطيكم آخرة ورجاء.

We all worry about the future and wish we could see it. God sees the end from the beginning and He already knows the outcome, God never ends in defeat.
Growing up I remember listening to a song by Doris Day which emphasized ‘what will be, will be, que sera sera’. Let us not be too absorbed by what will happen in the future.
Whatever is happening in our lives let us remember that God’s promises never fade and ‘we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.’ Romans 8:28
ونحن نعلم ان كل الاشياء تعمل معا للخير للذين يحبون الله الذين هم مدعوون حسب قصده.

Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings and Your inseparable, deep and everlasting love. God I praise You, revere You, worship You, I stand in awe of You, and glorify Your Holy Name.

November 11 Devotion - When God Seems distant Guess Who Moved



Do not keep silent, O God! Do not hold Your peace, And do not be still, O God!
Show me Your ways, O Lord; Teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me,
For You are the God of my salvation; On You I wait all the day.

طرقك يا رب عرّفني. سبلك علمني.
 دربني في حقك وعلمني. لانك انت اله خلاصي. اياك انتظرت اليوم كله.
Psalm 83:1; Psalm 25:4–5


When we are not being obedient to God’s commandments we sometimes think God is silent and is not responding to prayer. We think He has moved away, yet it is us who moved away because we broke our fellowship with God and quenched The Holy Spirit within us. We need to come back to God in repentance and ask Him to show us His ways and teach us His paths and learn to wait upon The Lord. God often takes us places we could never dream of going on our own. His vision is far beyond ours. His might and power open doors for us we thought were permanently closed.


I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings and Your unfailing, deep, and inseparable love. Lord, help me to seek Your kingdom and don’t let me walk in my own way. Take away my selfish desires and replace them with Your healthy dreams and goals. Lord, please show me Your plan and desires for me, and help me to wait for Your way to be revealed to me. I believe that the blessings I will receive will fill my heart with boundless joy. Help me to trust in Your vision for me Lord; which is better than mine by quantum leaps; and help me to trust that Your might and power will open doors for me that I thought were permanently closed and doors that I never knew existed. Lord, I praise You, I glorify You and I rejoice in You. In the name of the King of kings and Lord of lords, in the Holy Name of Jesus I pray. I declare Jesus as my Lord and Saviour, to Him be the power, the glory, the majesty, the blessings, and the dominion forever and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.

November 6 Devotion - Your thoughts impact your destiny



Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. 6 The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. 7 The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so.

Romans 8:5-7


فَالَّذِينَ يَعِيشُونَ حَسَبَ طَبِيعَتِهِمُ الجَسَدِيَّةِ، تَتَرَكَّزُ أفكارُهُمْ عَلَى رَغَباتِ تِلكَ الطَّبِيعَةِ. أمّا الَّذِينَ يَحيَونَ حَسَبَ الرُّوحِ القُدُسِ، فَتَتَرَكَّزُ أفكارُهُمْ عَلَى ما يَرغَبُ الرُّوحُ فِيهِ. فَالتَّفكِيرُ الخاضِعُ لِلطَّبِيعَةِ الجَسَدِيَّةِ يُنتِجُ مَوتاً، أمّا التَّفكِيرُ الخاضِعُ لِلرُّوحِ فَيُنتِجُ حَياةً وَسَلاماً. فَالتَّفكِيرُ الخاضِعُ لِلطَّبِيعَةِ الجَسَدِيَّةِ مُعادٍ للهِ، لِأنَّهُ لا يَخضَعُ لِشَرِيعَةِ اللهِ، بَلْ وَلا يُمكِنُهُ أنْ يَخضَعَ!


So if our thoughts are that important, what kind of thoughts should we have? We learn from God’s word that we should occupy our mind with the following:

Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
كل ما هو حق كل ما هو جليل كل ما هو عادل كل ما هو طاهر كل ما هو مسرّ كل ما صيته حسن ان كانت فضيلة وان كان مدح ففي هذه افتكروا.
Philippians 4:8–9
When we choose to think about those things that inspire us, encourage us, teach us, and build us up emotionally, we find that we want to follow God’s will and we will desire to remain faithful to Him.
                                 
When we choose to think about the majesty and glory of God, we rely upon Him with increasing faith and trust.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings and Your unfailing, deep, and inseparable love. Lord, I praise You, I glorify You and I rejoice in You. LORD, I pray that out of Your glorious riches You strengthen me with power through Your Spirit in my inner being, so that I can be changed by the renewing of my mind. Help me Lord to think the way You want me to think, to constantly think positive and pleasant thoughts of people & circumstances. Help me to concentrate on Your love for me and feel your joy in my heart. Help me to think thoughts of obedience and discipleship. In the name of the King of kings and Lord of lords, in the Holy Name of Jesus I pray. I declare Jesus as my Lord and Saviour, to Him be
the power, the glory, the majesty, the blessings, and the dominion forever and ever,  and unto ages of ages. Amen.

November 5 Devotion - A Holy Kiss of Love



Greet one another with a kiss of love (a holy kiss).
Peace to you all who are in Christ Jesus. Amen.
سلموا بعضكم على بعض بقبلة المحبة.سلام لكم جميعكم الذين في المسيح يسوع.آمين
1 Peter 5:14

When we believers meet, we are encouraged to greet one another with a kiss that is sincere and expressive of true affection and love. Love for each other as brothers and sisters in Christ. An Agape love that is connected to Christ. When both believers meet, their love for Christ connects them and flows to them, and as Christ loves them both, they share a love for each other. This becomes true to us as we grow in our relationship with our Lord and Saviour; Jesus Christ; and we become Christ-like.
 

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings and Your unfailing, deep, and inseparable love. Lord, I praise You, glorify You and lift You up on high. Lord, may Your love endure forever in my heart. Jesus help me to grow in my relationship with You; my Saviour and Redeemer; and help me to become Christ-like so that I can love others as You love me. Let Your love for others run through me to them through the Holy Spirit. Peace be with you all, that are in the love of Jesus Christ; who were chosen in Him before the foundation of the world. In the name of the King of kings and Lord of lords, in the Holy Name of Jesus I pray. I declare Jesus as my Lord and Saviour, to Him be the power, the glory, the majesty, the blessings, and the dominion forever and ever,  and unto ages of all ages. Amen.

November 4 Devotion - Our God Given Talents










The LORD will fulfill his purpose for me; your love, O LORD, endures forever—
       do not abandon the works of your hands.
الرب يحامي عني. يا رب رحمتك الى الابد. عن اعمال يديك لا تتخل
Psalm 138:8
I believe that God intends for us to maximize our potential—to become the man or woman He created us to be and then to use all of the talents, abilities, and gifts that He has placed within us for His glory.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings and Your unfailing deep love. Lord, I praise You, glorify You and lift You up on high. Lord, may Your love endure forever in my heart. I thank You that You will fulfill Your purpose in my life. I thank You that You will never abandon me. Help me God to follow Jesus and become Christ- Like. Help me Heavenly Father to use all of the talents, abilities, and gifts that You have placed within me for Your glory.  I pray that Your heart will rejoice in what You have done in me. In Your Holy Name Jesus I pray. To You be the power, the glory, the majesty, the blessings, and the dominion forever and ever, Amen.
