February 4 Devotion - May the power of Christ rest upon me

And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
2 Corinthians 12:9

When we are weak, we need the energizing work of the Holy Spirit to sustain us. We are encouraged through Isaiah’s enlightenment that God:
Gives power to the weak and to those who have no might He increases strength”

Isaiah 40:29

We need to rely fully on God and praise Him, in expectation and total trust in His support.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings and Your deep inseparable love. Lord, I praise You, I glorify You and I rejoice in Your grace. Lord, in my weakest moments, assure me that the power of Christ will rest upon me. Your grace is sufficient for me. I believe that when your grace abounds my weakness will be transformed into strength and I will soar like an eagle and I shall run and not be weary. Heavenly Father, let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to You I lift up my soul. I declare Jesus as my Lord and Saviour and I pray in His Holy Name. To Him be the power, the glory, the majesty, the blessings, and the dominion forever and ever, Amen.

February 3 Devotion - We are seated with Christ in the heavenly realms

For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus.
Ephesians 2:6

We who have accepted Christ as our Saviour; and Lord over our lives; are justified by the blood of Christ. Christ’s resurrection is the proof that He has made the full atonement, and that we are raised from a death of sin to a life of righteousness; and now we sit in heavenly places. Realize that we now have a right to the Kingdom of God, accept this glory, and be filled with the joy of The Lord in the possession of this salvation, and in our fellowship with Christ Jesus.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings and Your everlasting love for me. Thank You Lord that I am seated with Christ in the heavenly realms. Through Jesus’ redemptive work at The Cross and His resurrection I am granted access to You God, my Heavenly Father and I will spend eternity with You. Thank You Lord that You redeemed me and granted me forgiveness of my sins, You  justified me and even sanctified me according to the riches of Your grace. Strengthen me God so as to behave in a such a way that pleases Your spirit within me. In the name of the King of kings and Lord of lords, in the Holy Name of Jesus I pray. To Him be the glory, the majesty, the power and the dominion forever and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.

Jesus loves you,
In Him,

February 2 Devotion - Apart from Jesus we can do nothing

Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.
Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain.
Psalms127:1
“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit;
apart from me you can do nothing”

John 15:5

God runs everything in our lives. God has planned every day of the life of each one of us before He created the world. If we preach to non-believers, unless God is there touching their hearts we are working in vain. The same applies to building anything or working on any project or defending our position we need God to bless our work to achieve the desired results.

Jesus tells us that He is the vine; we are the branches.  Without an attachment to Him, we would be unable to do anything, including living and breathing.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings and deep inseparable love for me. God I acknowledge that You are operating ALL according to the counsel of Your own will.  Ephesians 1:11 Help me Lord to acknowledge You in all my ways so that You direct my paths. Proverbs 3:6 Lord even if I let my heart to plan my way, but I trust that You Lord direct my steps. Proverbs 16:9 Jesus I acknowledge that I can do nothing without You please remain in me and help me to remain in You at all times. Lord I am blessed that You promised that You will instruct me and teach me in the way I should go; and You will guide me with Your eye. Psalm 32:8
In the name of the King of kings and Lord of lords, in the Holy Name of Jesus I pray. To Him be the glory and the power and the dominion forever and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.

February 1 Devotion - You are the salt & light of the earth

“You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. 14 You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.”
Matthew 5:13-14
Please note that Jesus never challenges us to become salt or light. He simply says that we are - and we are either fulfilling or failing that responsibility. Salt is needed because the world is rotting and decaying and if our Christianity is also rotting and decaying, it won't be any good. Light is needed because the world is in darkness, and if our Christianity imitates the darkness, we have nothing to show the world.  To be effective we must seek to be Christlike in everything we say and do all the time.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings and inseparable and deep love for me. Thank You Lord that Jesus bought me with His precious blood and through Jesus’ redemptive work on The Cross I am granted access to You God, my Heavenly Father and I will spend eternity with You. Father God I pray that You make me more and more like Your Son so that I can fulfill the responsibility of being the salt and the light to everyone I can be in contact with in my everyday life. In the name of the King of kings and Lord of lords, in the Holy Name of Jesus I pray. To Him be the glory and the power and the dominion forever and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.

In Him,
