July 7 Devotion - God is with me

“I will never [under any circumstances] desert you [nor give you up nor leave you without support, nor will I in any degree leave you helpless], nor will I forsake or let you down or relax My hold on you [assuredly not]!”

اللهَ يَقُولُ: لاَ أَتْرُكُكَ، وَلاَ أَتَخَلَّى عَنْكَ أَبَداً

Hebrews 13:5

God continues to extend His hand to us each day to soothe our damaged emotions and our heartaches.

I sometimes feel God is distant however it is not true. God said that He will not in any way fail me nor give me up nor leave me without support.

And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), to be with you forever—

وَسَوْفَ أَطْلُبُ مِنَ الآبِ أَنْ يُعْطِيَكُمْ مُعِيناً آخَرَ يَبْقَى مَعَكُمْ إِلَى الأَبَدِ،

John 14:16

The Holy Spirit is God inside us. He is called the Comforter meaning “one called alongside to help and aid.”

When we are down, the Holy Spirit knows exactly how to encourage us. When you are grieving, the Holy Spirit knows the balance between shedding tears of grief and gently wiping them from our cheeks. He is at work to comfort us through every adversity.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings and Your deep, everlasting, and inseparable love for me. Thank You Lord that I am not alone to go through any difficult time and that The Holy Spirit indwells in me comforting me and helping me. Sooth my emotions Lord and strengthen me. I thank You that You are a reliable and trustworthy God and You promised that You will never leave me nor forsake me, and I know that You are faithful. I choose today to concentrate on You, to hold fast my confession that Jesus is my Lord and Saviour and in His mighty name I pray. Amen.

July 6 Devotion - God is Faithful

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.

لنتمسك باقرار الرجاء راسخا لان الذي وعد هو امين رَكِّزُوا تَفكِيرَكُمْ عَلَى الأُمُورِ السَّماوِيَّةِ، لا عَلَى الأُمُورِ الأرْضِيَّةِ.

Hebrews 10:23, Colossians 3:2

Let us focus on God’s grace and unconditional love for us, let us focus on His power and ability to control all circumstances. Let us focus on His always-listening ear and His always-watchful eye.

When we keep focusing on God, our thoughts about our problems diminish and our hope increases.

Abba Father, thank You for Your deep, everlasting, and inseparable love for me and Your abundant blessings.

Lord, I choose to see Your loving arms wrapped around me lifting me up to safety, provision, and peace. I thank You that You are a reliable and trustworthy God and You promised that You will never leave me nor forsake me, and I know that You are faithful. Lord God I praise You, lift You up on high, and glorify You. I choose today to concentrate on You, to hold fast my confession that Jesus is my Lord and Saviour and in His mighty name I pray. Amen.

July 1 Devotion - Carpe Diem (Seize the Day)

This is the day the LORD has made;
       let us rejoice and be glad in it.

هذا هو اليوم الذي صنعه الرب. نبتهج ونفرح فيه.

 O LORD, be gracious to us; we long for you. Be our strength every morning, our salvation in time of distress.

يَارَبُّ ارْحَمْنَا. إِيَّاكَ انْتَظَرْنَا، كُنْ عَضُدَنَا فِي الصَّبَاحِ، وَخَلاَصَنَا فِي أَثْنَاءِ الْمِحْنَةِ.

He Has Made Me Glad

God I pray to You in the name of Your precious Son; The King of kings and Lord of lords, my Redeemer, Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, the power, the dominion, the majesty and the blessings forever and ever and unto ages of all ages. Amen.

June 30 Devotion - I will give you rest

“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

     تعالوا اليّ يا جميع المتعبين والثقيلي الاحمال وانا اريحكم

Matthew 11:28 

Come to me: I understand this phrase in the context of the new covenant to mean that the knowledge of God and His gift of grace are only available through Jesus and is an invitation to come to Him for salvation and to follow Him as His disciple.

I will give you rest: I understand that this is the rest we get when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour and we are as a result Redeemed, Justified, Reconciled, sanctified and Glorified.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You for Your deep, everlasting, and inseparable love for me and Your abundant blessings.

Lord God I praise You and glorify You. Help to trust in You Lord with all my heart, and not to lean on my own understanding; in all my ways strengthen me to acknowledge You. Lord please grant me out of the riches of Your glory, to be strengthened and spiritually energized with power through Your Spirit in my inner self, indwelling my innermost being and personality so that Christ may dwell in my heart through faith and I always follow Him.
Jesus, help me to always put all my worries and problems at the feet of Your Cross. Jesus I know that You will give me rest, peace, joy, and fill my heart with Your love. I come to You Jesus my Saviour and Lord knowing that through your atoning death I have been redeemed, justified, reconciled, sanctified, and glorified in front of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21
