January 12 Devotion - Wisdom

Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

Ephesians 5:17, James 1:5

I believe that I am wise when:
v     I seek God’s will for my life and follow His plan
v     I always act according to the spirit of the Biblical Commandments
v     I understand the consequences of my actions and words before I act or speak
v     I have the knowledge and understanding to recognize the right course of action and to           have the will and courage to follow it.
I realize that I need the guidance and conviction of The Holy Spirit to always act wisely.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for loving me with a deep and everlasting love, thank You for Your abundant blessings in my life, and for the riches of Your grace upon my life.
Lord, help me to clearly see Your plan and will for my life. Holy Spirit, I need Your wisdom to guide all my actions. Lord, help me to listen to the direction of The Holy Spirit within me. Strengthen my faith to clearly realize that You are my rock in whom I take refuge. You are my salvation and my stronghold. In the Holy Name of Jesus I pray. To Him be the glory and the power and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

January 11 Devotion - Your Name is Inscribed on God's Palms

“Can a woman forget her nursing child, and not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you. 16 See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands;

Isaiah 49:15-16

God loves us so very much. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 and now the eyes of the Father are forever focused on us because of Christ’s atoning death on the cross for us.

God will never forget us; the believers in and followers of Christ; for He has inscribed our names on the palms of His Hands. Neither will He forget the church, the body of believers.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for loving me with a deep and everlasting love, thank You for Your abundant blessings in my life, and for the riches of Your grace upon my life. Lord, forgive me if at times I feel that You have forgotten me. Increase my faith so as to know, believe, and trust that You never forget me. I am privileged and thankful that as a believer and follower of Jesus Christ; Your only begotten Son; that I am so precious to You, that my name is written on the palms of Your hands. I thank You, praise You, glorify You and lift You up on high. Father, I pray to You in the name of The King of kings and The Lord of lords, in the name of Jesus Christ my Lord and Saviour, to whom be honour, glory, majesty and power forever and ever. Amen.

January 10 Devotion - Transformation

Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;

Philippians 1:6

When we were born again by accepting Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, the Holy Spirit came to live within us.

When we try to live the Christian life depending on our own strength, we fail.

When we come to the conclusion that we cannot succeed on our own and surrender to The Holy Spirit, that is when we move from trying to trusting; and that trans-form-ation helps us to start flourishing in our Christian faith journey as we change internal spiritual form. Transformation as defined in the dictionary is the act of changing form. The Holy Spirit will continue to transform us to help us become more and more Christ-like till the day we meet Jesus in person.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for loving me with a deep and everlasting love, thank You for Your abundant blessings in my life, and for the riches of Your grace upon my life. God I praise You, revere You, worship You, I stand in awe of You, I lift You up on high, and glorify Your Holy Name. Lord, I trust that The Holy Spirit within me is the only force that will make me able to live according to Your commandments. I acknowledge that I can do nothing apart from Christ. I trust that Jesus, who has started this Christian growth journey in my life, will continue to work in me to make me more like Him every day. In the Holy Name of Jesus I pray. To Him be the glory, the majesty and the power and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

January 9 Devotion - Our God Given Talents

We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.
Romans 12:5-8

I believe that God intends for us to maximize our potential—to become the man or woman He created us to be and to use all of the talents, abilities, and gifts that He has placed within us for His glory and the advancement of His Kingdom.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for loving me with a deep and everlasting love, thank You for Your abundant blessings in my life, and for the riches of Your grace upon my life. Help me God to follow Jesus and become Christ- Like. Lord, I pray that out of Your glorious riches You strengthen me with power through Your Spirit in my inner being, so that I use all of the talents, abilities, and gifts that You have placed within me for Your glory and the advancement of Your Kingdom.  I pray that Your heart will rejoice in what You have done in me.  In Jesus’ mighty name I pray. To Him be the power, the glory and the dominion forever and ever, and unto ages of all ages. Amen.

Jesus loves you,
In Him,
