December 8 Devotion - Lead me in Your truth and teach me

Show me Your ways, O Lord; Teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me,

For You are the God of my salvation; On You I wait all the day.

طرقك يا رب عرّفني. سبلك علمني.

 دربني في حقك وعلمني. لانك انت اله خلاصي. اياك انتظرت اليوم كله.

Psalm 25:4–5

Most of us are familiar with the scripture, in which God said,

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways”

لان افكاري ليست افكاركم ولا طرقكم طرقي يقول الرب.

Isaiah 55:8

Yet many times we fail to see the goodness of this verse. God often takes us places we could never dream of going on our own. His vision is far beyond ours. His might and power open doors for us we thought were permanently closed.

God has a way of providing all we could ever hope for. The problem comes when we fail to trust Him in times of waiting. Most of us have done this. We want something to take place so badly that we try to convince God to give us what we want now.

When we fail to see His immediate response, we often think He is not going to provide what we desire to receive.

Jesus told His disciples:

Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

لكن اطلبوا اولا ملكوت الله وبره وهذه كلها تزاد لكم .

Matthew 6:33 

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings. Lord, please show me Your plan and desires for me, and help me to wait for Your way to be revealed to me. Help me to seek Your kingdom and not my own way. Take away my selfish desires and replace them with Your healthy dreams and goals. I believe that the blessings I will receive will fill my heart with boundless joy. Help me to trust in Your vision for me; which is better than mine by quantum leaps; and to trust that Your might and power will open doors for me that I thought were permanently closed and doors that I never knew existed. 

In Jesus’ name I pray. To Jesus be the power, the glory, the majesty and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

December 7 Devotion - Laugh and Rejoice

He who sits in the heavens shall laugh. He will yet fill your mouth with laughing, And your lips with rejoicing. Be glad in the LORD and rejoice, you righteous; And shout for joy, all you upright in heart! ⁴ Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!

الساكن في السموات يضحك

عندما يملأ فاك ضحكا وشفتيك هتافا.

افرحوا بالرب وابتهجوا يا ايها الصدّيقون واهتفوا يا جميع المستقيمي القلوب

افرحوا في الرب كل حين واقول ايضا افرحوا

Psalm 2:4, Job 8:21, Psalm 32:11, Philippians 4:4

Since God created laughter and joy and He himself laughs, this should be something we should do a lot of. Since Christians who have accepted Jesus as their Saviour have the biggest reason to rejoice, we should all be smiling. Being pious does not mean we need to be so strict that we almost frown.

God has a reason to tell us that He will fill our mouths with laughter because He loves us and He created laughter to strengthen our immune system, boost our energy, diminish pain, and protect us from the damaging effects of stress.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You that You have a great sense of humour and thank You for creating laughter. Maximize my sense of humour and uplift my approach to life so that I enjoy life more. Fill my mouth with laughter Lord and my lips with rejoicing in Your love. Thank You Father for Your deep and everlasting love for me, Your abundant blessings, and for the riches of Your grace in my life. Help me to start living eternity with you from now on. Give me a spirit that always shouts with joy and always rejoices. I proclaim to the world that Jesus is my Lord and Saviour. In the name of the King of kings and Lord of lords, in the Holy Name of Your only begotten Son Jesus, I pray to You Father. To Jesus be the power, the glory, the majesty and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

December 6 Devotion - You are the apple of God's eye

For thus says the LORD of hosts:… “For he who touches you touches the apple of His eye.”

فَإِنَّ الرَّبَّ الْقَدِيرَ يَقُولُ ...'لأَنَّ مَنْ يَمَسُّكُمْ يَمَسُّ حَدَقَةَ عَيْنِهِ.'

Zechariah 2:8

God loves us so very much.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 3:16

And now the eyes of the Father are forever focused on us because of Christ’s atoning death on The Cross for us.

God will never forget us; the followers of Christ; for He has inscribed our names on the palms of His Hands. Neither will He forget the church, the body of believers.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You for loving me with a deep and everlasting love, thank You for Your abundant blessings in my life, and for the riches of Your grace upon my life. I am privileged and thankful that as a believer and follower of Jesus Christ; Your only begotten Son; that I am so precious to You, that You consider that whoever touches me touches the apple of Your eye. I thank You, praise You and glorify You, in the name of Jesus my Lord and Saviour, to whom be honour, glory and power since the beginning of time, now, and forever and ever. Amen.

December 5 Devotion - Your thoughts impact your destiny

Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. 6 The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. 7 The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so.

Romans 8:5-7

فَالَّذِينَ يَعِيشُونَ حَسَبَ طَبِيعَتِهِمُ الجَسَدِيَّةِ، تَتَرَكَّزُ أفكارُهُمْ عَلَى رَغَباتِ تِلكَ الطَّبِيعَةِ. أمّا الَّذِينَ يَحيَونَ حَسَبَ الرُّوحِ القُدُسِ، فَتَتَرَكَّزُ أفكارُهُمْ عَلَى ما يَرغَبُ الرُّوحُ فِيهِ. ⁶ فَالتَّفكِيرُ الخاضِعُ لِلطَّبِيعَةِ الجَسَدِيَّةِ يُنتِجُ مَوتاً، أمّا التَّفكِيرُ الخاضِعُ لِلرُّوحِ فَيُنتِجُ حَياةً وَسَلاماً. ⁷ فَالتَّفكِيرُ الخاضِعُ لِلطَّبِيعَةِ الجَسَدِيَّةِ مُعادٍ للهِ، لِأنَّهُ لا يَخضَعُ لِشَرِيعَةِ اللهِ، بَلْ وَلا يُمكِنُهُ أنْ يَخضَعَ!

When we choose to think about those things that inspire us, encourage us, teach us, and build us up emotionally, we find that we want to follow God’s will and we remain faithful to Him. When we choose to think about the majesty and glory of God, we rely upon Him with increasing faith and trust.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, help me Lord to think the way You want me to think, to constantly think positive and pleasant thoughts of people and circumstances. Help me to concentrate on Your love for me and feel Your joy in my heart. Help me to think thoughts of obedience and discipleship. Thank You Father for loving me with a deep and everlasting love, thank You for Your abundant blessings in my life, and for the riches of Your grace upon my life. God I praise You, revere You, worship You, I stand in awe of You, I lift You up on high, and glorify Your Holy Name. In the Holy Name of Jesus I pray. I declare Jesus as my Lord and Saviour, to Him be the power, the glory, the majesty, the blessings, and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

December 4 Devotion - Our Citizenship is in Heaven

For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ

Philippians 3:20

 أَمَّا نَحْنُ، فَإِنَّ وَطَنَنَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ الَّتِي مِنْهَا نَنْتَظِرُ عَوْدَةَ مُخَلِّصِنَا الرَّبِّ يَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحِ،

We who have accepted Jesus Christ as Saviour and made Him Lord over our lives have a new citizenship, we are citizens of heaven. Our thoughts, our affections, are centred on heaven.  We look unto the heavens expecting Christ’s return. We fully believe by faith that getting to heaven as our home, is only possible through Jesus Christ as our Way.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You Lord that You redeemed me and granted me forgiveness of my sins, according to the riches of Your grace. Thank You God that You have bestowed me with the honour of being a citizen of heaven, where You and Jesus dwell. So my citizenship is not of this world but of heaven. 'My Father in heaven, hallowed be Your Name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven’. Thank You Father for loving me with a deep and everlasting love, thank You for Your abundant blessings in my life, and for the riches of Your grace upon my life. LORD, I pray that out of Your  glorious riches You strengthen me with power through Your Spirit in my inner being, so that I can continue to declare to the world that Christ is my Lord and Saviour and Jesus may continue to dwell in my heart through faith. In the Holy Name of Jesus I pray. To Him be the glory and the power and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
