November 12 Devotion - Be Happy

Whoever trusts in the Lord, happy is he.

In Your presence is fullness of joy;
At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

Proverbs 16:20, Psalm 16:11

وَمَنْ يَتَّكِلُ عَلَى الرَّبِّ فَطُوبَى لَهُ.

مَعكَ أشبَعُ سُرُورا.

أسْعَدُ، وَأنا بِجانِبِكَ، إلَى الأبَدِ

Today let us choose to make it a time to be happy, to be in God’s presence and therefore be full of joy, and stay at His right hand and find pleasures forevermore.  

You may say this is not sound doctrine, and I reply:

This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

هذَا هُوَ الْيَوْمُ الَّذِي صَنَعُهُ الرَّبُّ، نَبْتَهِجُ وَنَفْرَحُ فِيهِ.

Psalm 118:24

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:   

Abba Father, please continue to teach me to trust in You so that I can be transformed to be Christ like, to feel Your joy, to be happy, to live Your good and pleasing will for my life. A life full of pleasures forevermore. Lord, fill my heart with laughter and my tongue with songs of joy bringing all my thoughts into captivity to the obedience of Christ. Thank You Father God for Your deep and everlasting love for me, Your abundant blessings, and for the riches of Your grace in my life. I pray to You Father in Jesus’ mighty name, to Jesus be the glory, the majesty, the blessings, the authority and the dominion both now and forevermore. Amen.

November 9 Devotion - Jesus is the only Mediator and Intercessor for mankind

For there is [only] one God, and [only] one Mediator between God and mankind, the Man Christ Jesus.

Christ Jesus is the One who died [to pay our penalty], and more than that, who was raised [from the dead], and who is at the right hand of God interceding [with the Father] for us.

1 Timothy 2:5

Romans 8:34

لأَنَّهُ يُوجَدُ إِلهٌ وَاحِدٌ وَوَسِيطٌ وَاحِدٌ بَيْنَ اللهِ وَالنَّاسِ: الإِنْسَانُ يَسُوعُ الْمَسِيحُ،                                       

اَلْمَسِيحُ هُوَ الَّذِي مَاتَ، بَلْ بِالْحَرِيِّ قَامَ أَيْضًا، الَّذِي هُوَ أَيْضًا عَنْ يَمِينِ اللهِ، الَّذِي أَيْضًا يَشْفَعُ فِينَا.

God justified us, which means He declared us not guilty, because by the gift of faith we have accepted Christ as Saviour. We have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. Jesus Christ is the only Mediator between God and mankind and Jesus is the only intercessor for mankind. The Bible says so and nowhere in the Bible does it say that we need an intercessor between us and Jesus.

Inasmuch then as we [believers] have a great High Priest who has [already ascended and] passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God,…. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Hebrews 4: 14, 16

14فَإِذْ لَنَا رَئِيسُكَهَنَةٍ عَظِيمٌ قَدِ اجْتَازَ السَّمَاوَاتِ، يَسُوعُ ابْنُ اللهِ،

16فَلْنَتَقَدَّمْ بِثِقَةٍ إِلَى عَرْشِ النِّعْمَةِ لِكَيْ نَنَالَ رَحْمَةً وَنَجِدَ نِعْمَةً عَوْنًا فِي حِينِهِ.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings and unfailing love. Thank You God that because I have accepted Jesus as my Saviour and made Him Lord over my life, You now see me through Christ’s righteousness instead of through my sin. Thank You God that Your justifying grace allows me to stand accepted before You. Thank You Jesus for Your crucifixion and ascension, and for Your intercession and mediation on my behalf to God. God I praise You, glorify You and lift You up on high. I thank You and adore You. In the name of the King of kings and Lord of lords, in the Holy Name of Jesus I pray. To Him be the glory, the majesty, the power and the dominion forever and ever and unto ages of all ages. Amen.

November 8 Devotion - Jesus loves you

May He grant you out of the riches of His glory, to be strengthened and spiritually energized with power through His Spirit in your inner self, [indwelling your innermost being and personality], ¹⁷ so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through your faith. And may you, having been [deeply] rooted and [securely] grounded in love, ¹⁸ be fully capable of comprehending with all the saints (God’s people) the width and length and height and depth of His love [fully experiencing that amazing, endless love];

لِكَيْ يُعْطِيَكُمْ بِحَسَبِ غِنَى مَجْدِهِ، أَنْ تَتَأَيَّدُوا بِالْقُوَّةِ بِرُوحِهِ فِي الإِنْسَانِ الْبَاطِنِ، 17لِيَحِلَّ الْمَسِيحُ بِالإِيمَانِ فِي قُلُوبِكُمْ، 18وَأَنْتُمْ مُتَأَصِّلُونَ وَمُتَأَسِّسُونَ فِي الْمَحَبَّةِ، حَتَّى تَسْتَطِيعُوا أَنْ تُدْرِكُوا مَعَ جَمِيعِ الْقِدِّيسِينَ، مَا هُوَ الْعَرْضُ وَالطُّولُ وَالْعُمْقُ وَالْعُلْوُ،

وَتَعْرِفُوا مَحَبَّةَ الْمَسِيحِ الْفَائِقَةَ الْمَعْرِفَةِ،

Ephesians 3:16-18 Amplified Bible (AMP)

God had a plan for humanity to give us a hope and a guarantee to meet God’s expectations of us through Jesus Christ. God is giving us power through His Spirit to dwell in our hearts through our faith in Jesus Christ as our Saviour; who died for the forgiveness of our sins; and we make Jesus Lord of our lives by being deeply rooted in His love. We need to live a life of committed believers constantly examining ourselves and repenting of any area in our lives that is not pleasing to God.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You for loving me with a deep, inseparable, steadfast and everlasting love. Thank You for Your abundant blessings in my life, and for the riches of Your grace upon my life. Help me Lord to be deeply rooted in love and to be able to comprehend the width and length and height and depth of Jesus’ love for me and to fully experience His amazing, endless love. LORD, I pray that out of Your glorious riches You strengthen me with power through Your Spirit in my inner being, so that Christ may dwell in my heart through faith and I am strengthened and spiritually energized by being deeply grounded in His love. Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life. I pray to You Father in the holy name of Jesus, my Lord and Saviour. To Jesus be the power, the glory, the majesty, the blessings, and the dominion since the beginning of time, now, and forevermore. Amen.
