July 12 Devotion - It is all from God

For who makes you differ from another? And what do you have that you did not receive? Now if you did indeed receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?

1 Corinthians 4:7

Although we all want to feel good about ourselves, let us immediately recognize that everything we have is from God. Whatever blessings, beginning with our talents, our intelligence, our ability to speak languages, our successes, our wealth and going all the way to our salvation is from God. Whatever spiritual gifts we have are from God. Your voice, your organizational abilities, your preaching and/or your teaching abilities, my writing abilities, and these devotions they are all from God, lest anyone should boast.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for all my talents, physical attributes, success and joy in my life, they are all blessings from You Lord. Thank You for this ‘devotion ministry’ that You have given me through these daily devotions, may they be a blessing to everyone reading them. Grant me the humility to always recognize Your hand in everything I am, and everything I own and in everything good in my life. I thank You for the grace of Your Salvation through Jesus Christ, I know that it is a gift that I am chosen for and that I received freely, and that Jesus paid His life for my redemption and salvation. What a fantastic gift beyond description. God I praise You, revere You, worship You, I stand in awe of You, I lift You up on high, and glorify Your Holy Name. Abba Father, thank You for Your deep and everlasting love of me, Your abundant blessings in my life, and for the riches of Your grace upon my life. In Jesus name I pray. To Jesus be the power, the glory, the majesty and the dominion forever and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.

In Him,

July 11 Devotion - God's Grace - Part 4

… having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.

Ephesians 1:5-6

Ephesians 1:5–6 teaches us that God’s will was to adopt us as His own through the work of Christ. God’s will is that we would have the strongest possible relationship with Him through the most precious relationship He has ever created which is His relationship with His Son Jesus Christ.
Every believer in Jesus as his/her Lord and Saviour is immensely loved by God and we are adopted into His spiritual family, we are His children. Salvation is a position of great blessing, each one of us can enjoy being a child of God and receive His blessings and gifts of mercy and grace and start living eternity NOW.

Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? 11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!

Mathew 7:9-11

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You that when I accepted Jesus Christ as my Saviour and surrendered to His leadership over my life, I was adopted into Your family. Thank You God for the riches of Your grace. Thank You that You have said that as Your children we can come boldly to Your throne of grace, and obtain mercy, in time of need. Hebrews 4:16. Father God, I come boldly to Your throne of grace and ask You to help me to always seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, for Jesus said that when we seek them first, all other things will be added unto us. In Jesus’ name I pray, To Jesus be the power, the glory, the majesty, the blessings, and the dominion before all time, and now, and forever. Amen.

July 10 Devotion - God's Grace -Part 3

And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
2 Corinthians 12:9

When we are weak, we need the energizing work of the Holy Spirit to sustain us. Isaiah encourages us that God Gives power to the weak and to those who have no might He increases strength”

Isaiah 40:29

We need to rely fully on God and praise Him ahead of and in expectation of His support.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings and Your deep, everlasting, and inseparable love for me. Lord, I praise You, I glorify You and I rejoice in Your grace. Your grace is sufficient for me. Lord, in my weakest moments, assure me that the power of Christ will rest upon me. I believe that when Your grace abounds my weakness will be transformed into strength and I will soar like an eagle and I shall run and not be weary. Heavenly Father, let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to You I lift up my soul. In the name of the only begotten Son of God, in the Holy Name of Jesus The Christ, my Lord and Saviour, I pray. To Him be the glory and the power and the dominion before all time, now, and forever. Amen.

July 9 Devotion - God's Grace - Part 2

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.
Ephesians 2:8-9

In order to receive God’s saving grace each one of us has the follow role:
1. Something to admit:
That you have sinned in the sight of God. (we all have)

2. Something to believe:
That Jesus Christ died on the cross bearing all the guilt and penalty of your sin

3. Something to do:

Accept Jesus Christ to be Lord over your life, your Saviour to cleanse you, your friend to guide and be with you.

Jesus said:
"I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.”

John 3:3

`Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if any one hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him...

Revelation 3:20

Jesus Christ waits outside the door of your life. He will not force his way in. He wants to be asked in. The handle of the door is on the inside; only you can open the door.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings and love. Lord, In Your great mercy You have not given me the penalty I deserve. By Your grace You have given me what I do not deserve; repentance and faith in Jesus The Saviour and Lord and a new birth into a living hope. I am born again to a new life as God’s child. Praise be to You. Thank you for making it clear to me that only those who receive Jesus—not merely know about Him— but rely on Him for salvation, submitting to Him as Master, and loving Him as their supreme treasure—become God’s children. For by grace I have been saved through faith, and that not of myself; it is Your gift God, it is not by my good works, lest I should boast. In the name of the only begotten Son of God, in the Holy Name of Jesus The Christ, my Lord and Saviour, I pray. To Jesus be the glory and the power and the dominion forever and ever and unto ages of all ages. Amen.

In Him,
