October 7 Devotion - Joy Fulfilled

“I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, that they mayve My joy fulfilled in themselves….

20I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word.”

9 من اجلهم انا اسأل .لست اسأل من اجل العالم بل من اجل الذين اعطيتني لانهم لك .

ليكون لهم فرحي كاملا فيهم .

20 ولست اسأل من اجل هؤلاء فقط بل ايضا من اجل الذين يؤمنون بي بكلامهم

John 17:9, 20

Jesus is praying for you and me and for all other believers who have declared Him as their Lord and Saviour. He is requesting from The Father that we may experience Jesus’ joy fulfilled in us, and that Jesus’ enjoyment be perfected in our souls. He requests that our hearts be filled with His gladness. Feeling joyful is what everyone wants, and we believers should be the most joyful, for our salvation is guaranteed through Christ.

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!

افْرَحُوا فِي الرَّبِّ دَائِماً، وَأَقُولُ أَيْضاً: افْرَحُوا.

Philippians 4:4

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Thank You Jesus for praying for me to The Father. Abba Father I long to experience Jesus’ delight fulfilled in me, and Jesus’ enjoyment perfected in my soul. I long to have my heart filled with His gladness. Fill me God totally and envelop me with Your grace, so that I can feel an inner joy independent of circumstances. Jesus You said: “These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.” John 15:11 Jesus I long for and pray that Your Joy remains in me and that my joy be full and that I always rejoice in You. God I praise You, glorify You and lift You up on high. In the holy name of Jesus I pray. I declare Jesus as my Lord and Saviour, to Him be the power, the glory, the majesty, the blessings, and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

October 4 Devotion - Never Give Up

For I consider [from the standpoint of faith] that the sufferings of the present life are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is about to be revealed to us and in us!

فَإِنِّي أَحْسِبُ أَنَّ آلاَمَ الزَّمَانِ الْحَاضِرِ لاَ تُقَاسُ بِالْمَجْدِ الْعَتِيدِ أَنْ يُسْتَعْلَنَ فِينَا.

Romans 8:18

When we are under extreme pressure we may face challenges to our faith which may impact our view of God. This can lead to unwise thinking and actions.

To help us in these very challenging times we need to:

1. Remember God’s help in the past and concentrate on His everlasting love.

2. Tell our problems how big our God is, versus telling God how big our problems are

3. Remember God’s promise to either bring us through our challenges or give us His all-sufficient grace to endure them.

4. Remember that God said “I will never leave you nor forsake you”. Hebrews 13:5

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You God that You are present in the time of a storm and Your presence surrounds me. Thank You God for all Your help throughout my life and for Your all sufficient grace to go through my storms. LORD, I pray that out of Your glorious riches You strengthen me with power through Your Spirit in my inner being, so that I know that I know that You will never leave me nor forsake me. God I praise You, revere You, worship You, I stand in awe of You, I lift You up on high, and glorify Your Holy Name. To Him who is able to keep me from stumbling and to present me before His glorious presence without fault and with great joy, to the only God our Saviour be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore. Amen.

October 3 Devotion - Hope and Confidence

So let us seize and hold fast and retain without wavering the hope we cherish and confess and our acknowledgement of it, for He Who promised is reliable (sure) and faithful to His word. I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence.

لنتمسك باقرار الرجاء راسخا لان الذي وعد هو امين.

أَخْبَرْتُكُمْ بِهَذَا كُلِّهِ لِيَكُونَ لَكُمْ فِيَّ سَلاَمٌ.

Hebrews 10:23, John 16:33

I need to focus on God’s grace and unconditional love and on His power and ability to control all circumstances. Maybe you feel the same way about your personal circumstances. Let us focus on His always-listening ear and His always-watchful eye, for He Who promised is reliable and faithful to His word.

I believe that when we keep focusing on God, our thoughts about our problems diminish and our hope increases.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, I pray that out of Your glorious riches You strengthen me and spiritually energize me with power through Your Spirit in my innermost being and personality, so that I can seize and hold fast and retain without wavering the hope of a better future and the confidence in Your reliability and faithfulness to Your word. May the God of hope fill me with all joy and peace in believing through the experience of my faith that by the power of The Holy Spirit I will abound in hope & overflow with confidence in God's promises. Romans 15:13 God I pray to You in the name of Your precious Son; my Redeemer and Saviour; the Lord of my life, Jesus Christ. To Jesus be the power, the glory, the majesty, the blessings, and the dominion before all time and now and forevermore. Amen.

October 2 Devotion-Unload your cares

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; For God has said:  ‘Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

لا تهتموا بشيء بل في كل شيء بالصلاة والدعاء مع الشكر لتعلم طلباتكم لدى الله.

لا تخف لاني معك. لا تتلفت لاني الهك. قد أيدتك واعنتك وعضدتك بيمين بري.

Philippians 4:6, Isaiah 41:10

Many times our fears result from imaginary thoughts, things that will never happen or come true. By crying out to God and unloading our cares and burdens on Him, He is assured of (and we are reminded of) our dependence on Him. And that is what pleases Him. Even before our prayers are answered, we feel peace.

When you come up against a fear–producing situation, immediately pray for God’s wisdom and protection, admit your inner struggle, and leave it in God’s hands for God is omnipotent (all-powerful), omnipresent (always present), and omniscient (all-knowing).

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings and love. Lord You are Good and I praise You and glorify You. Lord help me to always unload my burden upon You and strengthen me to be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, I present my requests to You. Cover me with Your grace so that I feel confident of Your promise  to strengthen me, help me and  uphold me with Your righteous right hand. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
