November 6 Devotion - Keep your eyes on Jesus

Let your eyes look right on [with fixed purpose], and let your gaze be straight before you.

Proverbs 4:25 Amplified Bible (AMP)

.
We need to have directional vision seeing only Jesus and not the lusts of the world. That’s why Proverbs 4:25 tells us that we need to look straight ahead toward Christ because in the spiritual, like the natural, whatever we focus our mind and heart on, we move toward. Jesus told us:
The eye is the lamp of the body. So if your eye is sound, your entire body will be full of light.

 Matthew 6:22

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, please turn away my eyes from looking at worthless things, and revive me in Your way Psalm 119:37 Help me Lord to keep my eyes on Jesus and not on my problems nor on the lusts of the world. Teach me to be steadfast in my faith. Father God sanctify me to become Christ like. Please let my eyes be sound and fill my whole body with the light of The Holy Spirit. My heavenly Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings in my life, and for the riches of Your grace upon my life. In Jesus’ name I pray. To Jesus be the power, the glory, the majesty and the dominion forever and ever and unto ages of all ages. Amen.

November 5 Devotion - Charge your spirit

Remain in Me, and I [will remain] in you. Just as no branch can bear fruit by itself without remaining in the vine, neither can you [bear fruit, producing evidence of your faith] unless you remain in Me. 5 I am the Vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in Me and I in him bears much fruit, for [otherwise] apart from Me [that is, cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing.

John 15:4-5

We all have mobile phones that need to be recharged on a daily basis. We make sure we charge our phones because if we don’t, they will turn off due to a ‘dead’ battery. What about our spirits? They need to be charged too. The electricity that charges our spirits is the Word of God, and spending time with God praying, meditating and listening to the direction of the Holy Spirit. Jesus said that He is the vine, we are the branches. We need to be nourished through the sap that runs from the vine to the branch so that we can continue to be charged. Just as we make sure that our phones are charged, we need to make sure we charge our spirits.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, please help me to develop the habit of spending time with You daily so that I may be nurtured, charged, and sanctified. Let Your God-breathed scriptures convict me of my sin and correct my errors and restore me to obedience. Train me in righteousness Lord so that I may live in conformity to Your will, both publicly and privately—behaving honourably with personal integrity and moral courage. Lord Jesus strengthen me to remain in You so that You remain in me. Jesus I need to bear fruit and I know that I cannot bear fruit by myself without remaining in You Jesus because You are the vine, and I am the branch and without You I can do nothing. Father God, charge me daily. Thank You God for loving me with a deep and everlasting love, thank You for Your abundant blessings in my life, and for the riches of Your grace upon my life. God I praise You, revere You, worship You, I stand in awe of You, I lift You up on high, and glorify Your Holy Name. In the mighty name of Your only begotten Son Jesus; my Lord and Saviour; I pray to You Father. To Jesus be the power, the glory, the majesty and the dominion forever and ever and unto ages of all ages. Amen.

Jesus loves you,
In Him,

November 1 Devotion - Jesus is the only Mediator and Intercessor for mankind

For there is [only] one God, and [only] one Mediator between God and mankind, the Man Christ Jesus. Christ Jesus is the One who died [to pay our penalty], and more than that, who was raised [from the dead], and who is at the right hand of God interceding [with the Father] for us.

1 Timothy 2:5
Romans 8:34

God justified us, which means He declared us not guilty, because by the gift of faith we have accepted Christ as Saviour. We have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. Jesus Christ is the only mediator between God and mankind and Jesus is the only intercessor for mankind. The Bible says so and nowhere in the Bible does it say that we need an intercessor between us and Jesus.

Inasmuch then as we [believers] have a great High Priest who has [already ascended and] passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God,…. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Hebrews 4: 14, 16

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You that through the gift of faith I have accepted Jesus as my Saviour and made Him Lord over my life, and therefore You now see me through Christ’s righteousness instead of through my sin. Thank You God that Your justifying grace allows me to stand accepted before You. Thank You Jesus for Your crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension, and for Your intercession and mediation on my behalf to God. God I praise You, glorify You and lift You up on high. Father God, thank You for Your abundant blessings in my life, and for the riches of Your grace upon my life. In the name of the King of kings and Lord of lords, in the holy name of Jesus I pray. To Jesus be the glory, the majesty, the power and the dominion forever and ever and unto ages of all ages. Amen.

Jesus loves you,
In Him,
