October 5 Devotion - Your DNA in God - Part 7 - I am the salt & light of the earth

 

“You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. 14 You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.”

انتم ملح الارض .ولكن ان فسد الملح فبماذا يملح .لا يصلح بعد لشيء الا لان يطرح خارجا ويداس من الناس .

14 انتم نور العالم .لا يمكن ان تخفى مدينة موضوعة على جبل .

Matthew 5:13-14

Please note that Jesus never challenges us to become salt or light. He simply says that we are - and we are either fulfilling or failing that responsibility. Salt is needed because the world is rotting and decaying and if our Christianity is also rotting and decaying, it won't be any good. Light is needed because the world is in darkness, and if our Christianity imitates the darkness, we have nothing to show the world. To be effective we must seek to be Christlike in everything we say and do all the time.

 

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, I pray that You make me more and more like Your Son so that I can fulfill the responsibility of being the salt and the light to everyone I am in contact with even if it is virtual in these social distancing times. I Thank You Lord that my DNA reveals that Jesus bought me with His precious blood and through Jesus’ redemptive work at The Cross I am granted access to You God, my Heavenly Father and I will spend eternity with You. To Him who is able to keep me from stumbling and to present me before His glorious presence without fault and with great joy, to the only God our Saviour be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore. Amen. Jude 1:24-25.

October 4 Devotion - Your DNA in God - Part 6 - I am a personal witness of Christ

 

“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

لكنكم ستنالون قوة متى حل الروح القدس عليكم وتكونون لي شهودا في اورشليم وفي كل اليهودية والسامرة والى اقصى الارض

 Acts 1:8

We each have a role to talk about the good news and the truth about Jesus to all those who do not believe and/or do not know the good news and the truth. Do you know anyone whom you can help? Even if you just forward devotions to them, that is a beginning.

Here is the good news:

“For God so [greatly] loved and dearly prized the world, that He [even] gave His [One and] only begotten Son, so that whoever believes and trusts in Him [as Savior] shall not perish but have eternal life”.

لانه هكذا احب الله العالم حتى بذل ابنه الوحيد لكي لا يهلك كل من يؤمن به بل تكون له الحياة الابدية          

John 3:16

 

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You Lord that my DNA reveals that Jesus bought me with His precious blood and through Jesus’ redemptive work at The Cross I am granted access to You God, my Heavenly Father and I will spend eternity with You. Expand my focus Jesus and bring me into harmony with Your divine purpose of reaching the world with the good news of the gospel and the truth about Your identity. LORD, I pray that out of Your glorious riches You strengthen me and spiritually energize me with power through Your Spirit in my innermost being and personality, so that I can help others become Your followers. Abba Father, thank You that Your deep steadfast love for me endures forever. Thank You Father for Your abundant blessings in my life, and for the riches of Your grace upon my life. In the Holy Name of Jesus, I pray. To Jesus be the glory, the power and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

October 1 Devotion - Your DNA in God - Part 5 - I am a saint (set apart for God)

 

To the saints who are in Ephesus, and faithful in Christ Jesus.

To the church of God which is at Corinth, to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all who in every place call on the name of Jesus Christ our Lord

 مِنْ بُولُسَ، وَهُوَ رَسُولٌ لِلْمَسِيحِ يَسُوعَ بِمَشِيئَةِ اللهِ، إِلَى الْقِدِّيسِينَ الأُمَنَاءِ فِي الْمَسِيحِ يَسُوعَ، [الْمُقِيمِينَ فِي أَفَسُسَ].

 مِنْ بُولُسَ، رَسُولِ الْمَسِيحِ يَسُوعَ، الْمَدْعُوِّ بِمَشِيئَةِ اللهِ، وَمِنَ الأَخِ سُوسْتَانِيسَ، 2 إِلَى كَنِيسَةِ اللهِ فِي مَدِينَةِ كُورِنْثُوسَ، إِلَى الَّذِينَ تَقَدَّسُوا فِي الْمَسِيحِ يَسُوعَ، الْمَدْعُوِّينَ، الْقِدِّيسِينَ؛

 

Ephesians 1:1, 1 Corinthians 1:2.

The word “saint” comes from the Greek word hagios, which means “consecrated to God, holy, sacred, pious.” The idea of the word “saints” is a group of people set apart for the Lord and His kingdom. Therefore, scriptually speaking, the “saints” are the body of Christ, Christians, the church. All Christian believers are considered saints in The Bible and at the same time are called to be saints. Christians are saints by virtue of their connection with Jesus Christ. Christians are called to be saints, to increasingly allow their daily life to match their position in Christ. This is the biblical description and calling of the saints. In the Bible, everyone who has received Jesus Christ by faith as Lord and Saviour is called a saint. Today the word ‘saint’ means something different in the vocabulary of the Catholic and Orthodox churches.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You Lord that my DNA reveals that Jesus bought me with His precious blood and through Jesus’ redemptive work at The Cross I am sanctified, and I am a saint. Now may the God of peace himself sanctify me completely and may my whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Thessalonians 5:23 Lord, I pray that out of Your glorious riches that You strengthen me with power through Your Spirit in my inner being, so that I can increasingly allow my daily life to be more closely matched to my position in Christ. Abba Father, thank You for Your deep and everlasting love, Your abundant blessings in my life, and for the riches of Your grace upon my life. Father God, I praise You, revere You, bless You, worship You, I stand in awe of You, I lift You up on high, and glorify Your Holy Name. In the name of Jesus, I pray. To Jesus be the power, the glory, the majesty, and the dominion forever and ever and unto ages of all ages. Amen.
