May 12 Devotion - A double Portion

 

Instead of your shame you will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace you will rejoice in your inheritance.
And so you will inherit a double portion in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours.

 

عوضا عن خزيكم ضعفان وعوضا عن الخجل يبتهجون بنصيبهم. لذلك يرثون في ارضهم ضعفين. بهجة ابدية تكون لهم.

Isaiah 61:7

 God sent these promises and words of encouragement to His people when they were going through a very difficult time in the Old Testament.

The question I asked myself was: do these words apply to us; the believers in His Son and our Redeemer; today? Do they apply to the Christians who are persecuted and beheaded for their faith all over the world today? Do these words apply today to any Christian believer who is facing personal challenges?

I believe they do because our Lord is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. God is always faithful to His Word. Let us rejoice then because our God will give us restoration and make all things better above and beyond our expectations.

“We know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”

  ونحن نعلم ان كل الاشياء تعمل معا للخير للذين يحبون الله الذين هم مدعوون حسب قصده.

 

Romans 8:28

 

 

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings and Your unfailing, deep, inseparable, and everlasting love. Thank You for Your faithfulness and wisdom. Abba, please strengthen my faith and help me to stay obedient to You so that I can receive what You promised as a double portion of blessings for my challenges in every area of my life. O’Lord guide and direct my steps to Your everlasting joy. Lord I pray for all the Christian believers in the world who are suffering because of their faith. Let all things work together for good for them and grant them a double portion of peace and joy. In Jesus’ name I pray. To Jesus be the power, the glory, the majesty, the blessings, and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

May 7 Devotion - Recipients of His Riches

That He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels of mercy, which He had prepared beforehand for glory.

 ²³ وَذَلِكَ بِقَصْدِ أَنْ يُعْلِنَ غِنَى مَجْدِهِ فِي أَوْعِيَةِ الرَّحْمَةِ الَّتِي سَبَقَ فَأَعَدَّهَا لِلْمَجْدِ،

Oui, qu’as-tu à redire si Dieu a agi ainsi pour manifester la richesse de sa gloire en faveur de ceux qui sont les objets de sa compassion, ceux qu’il a préparés d’avance pour la gloire?

 

Romans 9:23

 

We have to affirm our heritage in Christ and to realize all of God’s promises. Once we understand our relationship to God through Jesus we can begin to live in the power of The Holy Spirit. All believers who have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Saviour are extremely rich because the moment we were born again and placed our trust in God’s Son, God deposited the enormous riches of heaven into our accounts.

The devil will try to steal our peace but we have to let The Holy Spirit convict us of our heritage in Christ and to claim it.

 

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You for the riches of Your grace upon my life. Thank You Lord for all the riches of heaven that that You have deposited into my account. Thank You Lord for sending The Holy Spirit to me and for allowing me to live in the power of The Holy Spirit. Lord, I pray that You strengthen me so that I can affirm my heritage in Christ and claim all what You have for me right now. Thank You Father God for Your unfailing, inseparable, deep and everlasting love for me, and Your abundant blessings in my life. May 6 Devotion - Give Glory to God Only

I am the Lord, that is My name; And My glory I will not give to another,

                              لَنْ أُعطِيَ مَجدِيَ لآخَرَ   « وَهَذا هُوَ اسْمِي. أنا يهوه

 

Isaiah 42:8

                

For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, I am the Lord, that is My name; And My glory I will not give to another

 

  لَا تَسْجُدْ لَهُنَّ وَلاَ تَعْبُدْهُنَّ، لأَنِّي أَنَا الرَّبَّ إِلَهَكَ، إِلَهٌ غَيُورٌ

 

Exodus 20: 5

 

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.

Abba Father, I pray that out of Your glorious riches You strengthen me with power through Your Spirit in my inner being, so that I can pray in the manner that pleases You and builds an intimate relationship with You. Strengthen me Jesus so that I always point to You and give You the glory. Abba Father, You know what I need before I ask, and I pray that You will help me to pray for the ‘right’ things and to trust Your choice and timing. Help me to pray without repeating words uselessly. Abba Father, I thank You that I can call You Abba (Da da) Father. As a child of God please give me a brotherly heart, in respect of all Christian believers so that I may pray and ask in the spirit of unity, fellowship, and love desiring for my brethren what I desire for myself. Lead me by Your Spirit Lord.  As a child of God and as an heir, an heir of God and co-heir with Christ, help me to be able to share in Jesus’ suffering in order that I may also share in His glory. LORD, I pray that I can follow Your commandments and help further Your Kingdom here on earth and share the good news about Your deep love for humanity because You ‘want all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all people.’ 1 Timothy 2: 4-6 Help me Lord to seek first Your Kingdom and righteousness before all my needs and wants. Jesus You are my daily spiritual bread. Strengthen me Lord so that I can forgive my debtors as You have forgiven me and to pray for them. Help me God to get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Strengthen me so that I can clothe myself with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Abba Father, I pray not to be tested and thank You that if it is Your will to test me, You are faithful and will help me endure the test and You will find a way for me out of it. Lord, I realize that every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from You, Father of lights. God, I praise You, revere You, worship You, I stand in awe of You, and glorify Your Holy Name. For Yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. I declare to the world that Christ is my Lord and Saviour. In the name of the King of kings and Lord of lords, in the Holy Name of Your only begotten Son Jesus, I pray. To Jesus be the power, the glory, the majesty, the dominion since the beginning of time, now and forevermore. Amen.

May 5 Devotion - Come to Jesus

Trust in and rely confidently on the Lord with all your heart and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him, and He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way]. Be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom [with insight into His purposes], and in understanding [of spiritual things.]

    توكل على الرب بكل قلبك وعلى فهمك لا تعتمد. في كل طرقك اعرفه وهو يقوم سبلك

لأَنْ تَمْتَلِئُوا مِنْ تَمَامِ مَعْرِفَةِ مَشِيئَةِ اللهِ فِي كُلِّ حِكْمَةٍ وَإِدْرَاكٍ رُوحِيٍّ،

Proverbs 3:5-6, Colossians 1:9 AMP

Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings. Help me Lord to trust in You with all my heart and always lean on You and not on my own abilities or understanding. I acknowledge You God as the gracious, merciful and sovereign creator and master of the universe. I thank You Lord that You are directing my paths to always follow Your Son Jesus Christ. Abba Father fill me with spiritual wisdom and help me to understand Your purposes in all things and specifically what I am going through now. Jesus, I put all my worries and problems at the feet of Your cross. I know that You will give me peace and joy, and fill my heart with Your love, because You died for the forgiveness of my sins and to redeem me and declare me righteous in the eyes of the LORD. God I pray to You in the name of Your precious Son; my Redeemer and Saviour; the Lord of my life, Jesus Christ. May 2 Devotion - God's Healing Power

 

This devotion is dedicated to all of us who need healing. Physical and/or emotional.

 

The LORD will strengthen him/her on his/her bed of illness; You will sustain him/her on his/her sickbed.

L'Éternel le soutient sur son lit de douleur; Tu le soulages dans toutes ses maladies.

 ³ يَعْضُدُهُ الرَّبُّ عَلَى فِرَاشِ الأَلَمِ، وَيَرُدُّ عَافِيَتَهُ.

Psalm 41:3

Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you.

Jusqu'à votre vieillesse je serai le même, Jusqu'à votre vieillesse je vous soutiendrai

حَتَّى كَبُرْتُمْ. حَتَّى عِندَما يَشِيبُ شَعرُكُمْ أنا أحمِلُكُمْ.

Isaiah 46:4

 

We know that Jesus has the healing power and that He performed many miracles when He was on earth. The question many of us sometimes ask is: Does He still heal today? The answer is in the following biblical truth:

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Jésus Christ est le même hier, aujourd'hui, et éternellement.

 ⁸ يَسُوعُ الْمَسِيحُ هُوَ هُوَ أَمْساً وَالْيَوْمَ وَإِلَى الأَبَدِ.

Hebrews 13:8

 

And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever

John 14:16 

 Jesus told many of those He healed ‘your faith has healed you’. Jesus is still healing and we have The Holy Spirit within us.

 

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourselves and others:

Abba Father, please grant me out of the riches of Your glory, to be strengthened and spiritually energized with power through Your Spirit in my inner self, indwelling my innermost being and personality so that Christ may dwell in my heart through faith. Lord, give me and all who are in need, enough faith to receive Your healing. Lord, I pray for all those who are sick and afflicted and for their families. God, give them health and perseverance, help them to go through the tough times knowing You are carrying them. As You taught us Jesus, in Your prayers to The Father, Your will be done. Thank You Father God for Your unfailing, deep, everlasting, and inseparable love for me and for Your abundant blessings. God I pray to You in the name of Your precious Son; The King of kings and Lord of lords, my Redeemer, Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. May 1 Devotion - Keep Trusting God

 

“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” 
            

وَفْقاً لِمَا كُتِبَ: «إِنَّ مَا لَمْ تَرَهُ عَيْنٌ، وَلَمْ تَسْمَعْ بِهِ أُذُنٌ، وَلَمْ يَخْطُرْ عَلَى بَالِ بَشَرٍ قَدْ أَعَدَّهُ اللهُ لِمُحِبِّيهِ!»

1 Corinthians 2:9

“Thus says the LORD, who makes a way in the sea And a path through the mighty waters, “ Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”

هكذا يقول الرب الجاعل في البحر طريقا وفي المياه القوية مسلكا 18 لا تذكروا الاوليات. والقديمات لا تتأملوا بها. 19 هانذا صانع أمرا جديدا. الآن ينبت. ألا تعرفونه. اجعل في البرية طريقا في القفر انهارا.

Isaiah 43:16, 18-19

God is telling us to forget any former feelings of being lost in the wilderness or stranded in the desert and our former tribulations and/or hurts and to behold His new roads in the wilderness and His rivers in the desert.

Let us rejoice, at all times rejoice, for God is preparing beautiful things for us. He tells us that they are beyond our imagination and we have not seen anything like them before. Let us remember that God keeps His promises and He is the creator of the universe. Let us choose to trust Him and Him alone.

 

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You for what I have and for what I do not have. I thank You for Your Mercy and for Your Grace. I put my future in Your hands because I trust You and I declare that I love You. I know that You always keep Your promises, and that You have prepared wonderful things for me and that they shall spring forth in Your perfect timing. Thank You Father God that Your deep steadfast love for me endures forever. Thank You Father for Your abundant blessings in my life, and for the riches of Your grace upon my life.
