March 11 Devotion - Our Faith Can Overcome the World

For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith.

1 John 5:4 New Living Translation (NLT)

Faith provides the power source and the means to victory. The trust we believers have in God and in Christ enables us to participate in the victory Christ won for us through His sacrifice and resurrection.

The term "world” describes the world system that opposes God. The collective power, given by God to us believers, can overcome this opposition.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings. Lord, today I believe that I have been born of God and there is victory already planned in my future. Lord, please strengthen me with power through Your Spirit in my inner being, so that I stand strong and have the attitude that I have overcome the world through my faith in Jesus Christ my Lord and Saviour. Lord, help me to always say in confidence and strong faith: I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.’ Philippians 4:13. In the Holy Name of Jesus I pray. To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever.

March 8 Devotion - Love each other as I have loved you

“As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. 10If you obey my commands; you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father's commands and remain in his love. 11I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. 12My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.”

John 15: 9-12

As followers of Christ, His love to us should direct us to love each other. Jesus commands us to love each other in the same way He loves us. As we know, Jesus loves us with a tender affection, willing to endure trials for us, willing to practice self-denial for our sake and He did lay down His life for us. Can we simulate that? On our own we cannot, but we can do all things through Jesus Christ who strengthens us.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings. Lord, I yearn to live in harmony with You and with all Your children and to love them according to Your commandment and in the way You loved me. God, teach me to be humble according to Your will and teach me to be compassionate and sympathetic to all Your children. Jesus, help me to obey your commands through the Holy Spirit which indwells in me; so that I will remain in Your love and that Your joy will be in me; and my joy will be complete.
Lord, help me to always say in confidence and strong faith: I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.’ Philippians 4:13 In the name of the King of kings and Lord of lords, in the Holy Name of Jesus I pray. ‘Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.’ Ephesians 3:20-21

March 6 Devotion - The Glory of The Lord Rises Upon You

Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you.

Isaiah 60:1

God has wonderful things planned for us believers who are followers of Jesus Christ. He will give us blessings that seem impossible to us. Even the dreams we have given up on, God has not given up on, as long as they are aligned with His will and plan for our lives.

We have to listen to God with our hearts and not let discouragement hold us back. It is time for us to receive every blessing God has prepared for us and move forward in the destiny He has planned for us. The Glory of The LORD is rising upon us, let us arise and shine today and every day.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings. Thank You Lord for choosing me to be Your child and for preparing a bright future for me. Thank You that my faith in Jesus Christ and my submission to Him as Lord over my life and my acceptance of His death in my place qualifies me to receive Your abundant blessings over my life. Help me through the Holy Spirit to receive Your blessings with a humble heart and to always honour You and praise Your Holy Name. Thank You for letting Your glory shine upon me today and every day. Lord, give me the patience and the wisdom to wait upon Your timing for each blessing and to move forward in the destiny You have prepared for me. In the Holy Name of Jesus I pray. To Him be the glory and the power and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

March 5 Devotion - 'Good' is the enemy of 'Best'

As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways.

Isaiah 55:9

We often pray for things that we believe are ‘Good’ for us and/or our loved ones. In His wisdom God has a much broader perspective and gives us only the things that are truly beneficial for our growth as His children; and that are beneficial for the advancement of His kingdom on this earth, and ‘Best’ for us through all eternity. The way God gives us what is ‘Best’ for us is often very different than what we imagined and the timing may not be what we wanted, but His timing is always the ‘Best’ for us. Many times, unfortunately, we go ahead and do what we believe is ‘Good’ for us and do not involve God and we miss out on God’s ‘Best’ for our lives. We do not realize that the ‘Good’ is preventing us from having the ‘Best’.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings. God help me to pray for what is ‘Best’ from Your perspective for me and those impacted by what I am praying for. Help to have the discernment and wisdom to know what to pray for. Help me to pray for those things that will help me grow in the likeness of Your Son Jesus Christ, and for the advancement of Your kingdom. I trust that you will only give me what is ‘Best’ for me, and that your timing is what is ‘Best’ for me. Lord, give me the patience and the wisdom to wait upon Your timing. In the Holy Name of Jesus I pray. To Him be the glory and the power and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

I have been redeemed and forgiven (Col. 1:14).  I have been adopted as Gods child (Eph 1:5)
I belong to God

Keep this bell ringing, share with others

For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. He predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will.

Colossians 1:14, Ephesians 1:5

Forgiveness (Gk. aphesis) speaks of a canceled debt. You and I can be forgiven, not simply because God is merciful, but because Christ went to the cross and shed His blood for me and for you. Our debt has been cancelled because Jesus died in our place.

We are forgiven when we accept that He has died in our place, for our sins. Salvation is not something we earn through good deeds or bargain for, in exchange for promising to improve. God has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son Jesus Christ whom He loves.

The Greek word for adoption to sonship is a legal term referring to the full legal standing of an adopted male heir in Roman culture. When we surrender our lives to Christ and accept the fact that He bore our sins in His own body at The Cross, and when we declare Him as our Lord and Saviour, at that moment we are born again through the spirit and become children of God.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings and love. Thank You Lord that my DNA reveals that I am a child of God and I was purchased with the precious blood of Christ. Thank You Lord that You redeemed me and granted me forgiveness of my sins, according to the riches of Your grace. Thank you Jesus that you paid for my sins and they have been canceled. You paid a very high price for me, your blood. LORD, I pray that out of Your  glorious riches You strengthen me with power through Your Spirit in my inner being, so that I can forgive others and to forgive myself. Please help others to forgive me. Strengthen me Lord so that I continue to declare to the world that Christ is my Lord and Saviour and Jesus may continue to dwell in my heart through faith. In the Holy Name of Jesus I pray. To Him be the glory and the power and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

I am a member of the body of Christ (1 Cor 12:27)
I am free forever from condemnation (Rom. 8: 1-2)
I am a citizen of Heaven. I am significant (Phil.3:20)
I am free from any charge against me (Rom. 8:31-34)
I am a minister of reconciliation for God (2 Cor.5:17-21)
I have access to God through the Holy Spirit (Eph 2:18)
I am seated with Christ in the heavenly realms (Eph. 2:6)
I cannot be separated from the love of God (Rom.8:35-39)
I am established, anointed, sealed by God (2 Cor.1:21-22)
I am assured all things work together for good (Rom. 8: 28)
I have been chosen and appointed to bear fruit (John 15:16)
I may approach God with freedom and confidence (Eph. 3: 12)
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me (Phil. 4:13)
I am the branch of the true vine, a channel of His life (John 15: 1-5)

“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. 2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. 3 You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. 4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.

5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

John 15:1-5

Without Jesus we cannot do anything that is spiritually good. Nothing can be accomplished "without Christ"; without His Spirit, grace, strength, and presence. Were it possible for believers that are truly in Him, to be removed from Him, they could bring forth no spiritual fruits or fruits of good works, any more than a branch separated from the vine can bring forth grapes; so that all the fruitfulness of a believer is to be ascribed to Christ, and His grace, and not to our own free will and power.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings and love. Lord, thank You that my DNA reveals that I am a child of God and I was purchased with the precious blood of Christ. Thank You Jesus that I am the branch of the true vine, a channel of Your life. Jesus, I pray that You abide in me, and I in You. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can I, unless I abide in You Jesus. Strengthen me with power through Your Spirit in my inner being, so that I can bear much fruit; for without You Jesus I can do nothing. I pray in the Holy Name of Jesus. To Jesus be the glory and the power and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings and love. Thank You Lord that my DNA reveals that I am a child of God and that I was purchased with the precious blood of Christ. Thank You Lord that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
LORD, strengthen me with power through Your Spirit in my inner being, so that I can carry out Your will for my life and continue to declare to the world that Christ is my Lord and Saviour and Friend. In the Holy Name of Jesus I pray. To Him be the glory and the power and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

..in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him.

Ephesians 3:12

Christ is the way of access to God; through his mediation we, his people, have audience of God. We can come to The Throne of God with boldness, meaning we have been given liberty of speech to The Father, such as children use in addressing a generous father. We can ask of God without fear all our needs and wants. It is on the basis of such scriptures as these that we need to conclude all our prayers in the name, and for the sake, of Jesus Christ our Lord.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings and love. Thank You Lord that my DNA reveals that I am a child of God and I was purchased with the precious blood of Christ through whom I may approach God with freedom and confidence. I can come boldly to the throne of our gracious God where I will receive His mercy, and I will find grace to help me  when I need it most. Hebrews 4:16. Abba Father, strengthen me with power through Your Spirit in my inner being, so that I can continue to declare to the world that Christ is my Lord and Saviour and Friend. In the Holy Name of Jesus I pray. To Him be the glory and the power and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

I am established, anointed, sealed by God (2 Cor.1:21-22)
I am assured all things work together for good (Rom. 8: 28)
I have been chosen and appointed to bear fruit (John 15:16)

You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.

John 15:16

The relationship of the disciples with Jesus commenced when they had no affection for him; therefore it placed them under more tender and sacred obligations to be entirely devoted to His service. The same applies to us as followers of Jesus, He graciously inclined us by His Holy Spirit to seek Him; and commenced the work of our personal salvation.

Whatever talents and blessings we possess as Christians, we owe to God, and by the most tender and sacred ties we are bound to be His followers. We are chosen to do good, and to spread as far as possible all the spiritual blessings which the gospel confers on mankind. We must consider Jesus Christ as the great Mediator between God and us, proclaim His salvation, and pray in His name.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings and love. Thank You Lord that my DNA reveals that I am a child of God and I  have been chosen and appointed to bear fruit. Thank You Lord that You redeemed me and granted me forgiveness of my sins, according to the riches of Your grace. LORD, I pray that You strengthen me with power through Your Spirit in my inner being, so that I can continue to declare to the world that Jesus Christ is The Saviour of mankind and I may bear fruit and that my fruit may last. I pray in the Holy Name of Jesus my Mediator to You Father. To Him be the glory and the power and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
