March 13 Devotion - Sing to The Lord a new song

Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth. ² Sing to the Lord, praise his name; proclaim his salvation day after day. ³ Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples.

⁴ For great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; he is to be feared above all

(so called) gods. Psalm 96:1-4

رَنِّمُوا لِلرَّبِّ تَرْنِيمَةً جَدِيدَةً. رَنِّمُوا لِلرَّبِّ يَا سَاكِنِي الأَرْضِ جَمِيعاً. ² رَنِّمُوا للرَّبِّ. بَارِكُوا اسْمَهُ. بَشِّرُوا بِخَلاَصِهِ يَوْماً فَيَوْماً. ³ أَعْلِنُوا مَجْدَهُ بَيْنَ الأُمَمِ، وَعَجَائِبَهُ بَيْنَ الشُّعُوبِ كُلِّهَا. ⁴ فَإِنَّ الرَّبَّ عَظِيمٌ وَجَدِيرٌ بِكُلِّ حَمْدٍ؛ هُوَ مَرْهُوبٌ أَكْثَرَ جِدّاً مِنْ جَمِيعِ الآلِهَةِ. 

It was a custom that poets/psalmists wrote a new song whenever God had a new large blessing for the people.

We see in this song/hymn that we are called to praise and bless(affectionately praise) God and give Him glory.

Three times we are here called to sing unto the Lord; sing to the Father, to the Son, to the Holy Ghost, as it was

in the beginning. This new song is a new New-Testament song, a song of praise for the new covenant and the precious privileges of that covenant, it looks further to The Kingdom of Christ.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank you for your abundant blessings and inseparable love. Lord I sing a new song,

a song of Your New Covenant, a song of my salvation through the atoning blood of Jesus Christ.

Lord whenever I feel low or focus on anything other than Jesus help me to refocus on Christ by

singing this new song, to sing to You LORD, to proclaim Your glory and Your wonderful news of

The Gospel of Jesus Christ. Never let me forget that I am a loved and adored child of God.

I declare Your glory Lord among the nations, and Your marvelous deeds among all peoples for

You are great and worthy of all praise.

In the name of my Lord and Saviour, in the Holy Name of Jesus I pray. To Him be the glory and the power and the dominion forever and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.

March 12 Devotion - Involve God in every situation

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

⁶ لاَ تَقْلَقُوا مِنْ جِهَةِ أَيِّ شَيْءٍ، بَلْ فِي كُلِّ أَمْرٍ لِتَكُنْ طَلِبَاتُكُمْ مَعْرُوفَةً لَدَى اللهِ، بِالصَّلاَةِ وَالدُّعَاءِ، مَعَ الشُّكْرِ.

Philippians 4:6

Do you think we should pray about every single detail in our lives? God did not exclude anything. What would a child pray about? Jesus said in Mark10:15 “Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” In Psalm 37:23(NLT): The LORD directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of our lives.

There are some commandments and guidelines that God has given us, so we will not ask God should I love my neighbour? However we can pray to God to help us love them. I believe we should pray and ask for direction for every detail in our life. There are details of course that are established, so we will not pray to God to show us if we should brush our teeth. We seem to keep prayers only for big demands or crisis. Praying for and about everything keeps us in constant communication and connection with God and that pleases His heart, and is very useful for us.

Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings. Lord, thank You that You love me so much that You want to fellowship with me all day and You desire that I involve You in all my thoughts and actions. I appreciate that You are omnipresent(available everywhere) omniscient (all knowing), and You are interested in every detail in my life. Help me Lord to develop the habit to pray to You about every detail of my life. In the name of The King of kings and Lord of lords, in the Holy Name of Jesus I pray. To Him be the glory and the power and the dominion forever and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.

March 11 Devotion - We are citizens of Heaven

For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ

Philippians 3:20

 أَمَّا نَحْنُ، فَإِنَّ وَطَنَنَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ الَّتِي مِنْهَا نَنْتَظِرُ عَوْدَةَ مُخَلِّصِنَا الرَّبِّ يَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحِ،

Our citizenship, our thoughts, our affections, are already in heaven.  We must look unto the heavens expecting Christ’s return.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings and love. Thank You Lord that You redeemed me and granted me forgiveness of my sins, according to the riches of Your grace. Thank You God that You have bestowed me with the honour of being a citizen of heaven, where You and Jesus dwell. So my citizenship is not of this world but of heaven. LORD, I pray that out of Your  glorious riches You strengthen me with power through Your Spirit in my inner being, so that I can continue to declare to the world that Christ is my Lord and Saviour and Jesus may continue to dwell in my heart through faith. In the Holy Name of Jesus I pray. To Him be the glory and the power and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

March 10 Devotion - We are united with the Lord

But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.

1 Corinthians 6:17

واما من التصق بالرب فهو روح واحد.

When we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour we have the same spirit, in measure, which Christ our Mediator with God has without measure. We have the Spirit of God, as a spirit of faith and holiness and of adoption. We are also sealed for eternity.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings and inseparable love. Thank You Lord that as a follower of Your Son Jesus I am joined with Jesus and enjoy the same spirit. I pray that out of Your  glorious riches You strengthen me with power through Your Spirit in my inner being, so that I can continue to declare to the world that Christ is my Lord and Saviour and Friend and behave in a such a way that pleases Your spirit within me. In the name of the King of kings and Lord of lords, in the Holy Name of Jesus I pray. To Him be the glory and the power and the dominion forever and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.

March 9 Devotion - Jesus paid His life for us

For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s, knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, ¹⁹ but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.

لانكم قد اشتريتم بثمن.فمجّدوا الله في اجسادكم وفي ارواحكم التي هي لله عالمين انكم افتديتم لا باشياء تفنى بفضة او ذهب من سيرتكم الباطلة التي تقلدتموها من الآباء

19 بل بدم كريم كما من حمل بلا عيب ولا دنس دم المسيح

.1 Corinthians 6:20, 1 Peter 1:18-19

Apart from the blood of Christ, you and I could not have a relationship with our Heavenly Father. Jesus’ sacrificial death made it possible for sinful man to approach Holy God. Because of His blood, we are redeemed (purchased at a price) and forgiven.

Our obligation toward our redeemer is in proportion to the price which is paid for our redemption. A price far more valuable than any amount of silver or gold has been paid for our redemption and we are under proportionate obligation to devote ourselves to His service. Believers are redeemed by the life of the Son of God offered on our behalf; and between the value of the life of The Son of God and silver and gold there can never be any comparison.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings and inseparable love. Thank You Lord that Jesus bought me with His precious blood and through Jesus’ redemptive work at The Cross I am granted access to You God, my Heavenly Father and I will spend eternity with You. Lord, I pray that out of Your  glorious riches that You strengthen me with power through Your Spirit in my inner being, so that I can continue to declare to the world that Christ is my Lord and Saviour and Friend and behave in a such a way that pleases Your spirit within me. In the Holy Name of Jesus I pray. To Him be the glory and the power and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
