April 24 Devotion - God's Healing Power

The LORD will strengthen him/her on his/her bed of illness; You will sustain him/her on his/her sickbed.

 ³ يَعْضُدُهُ الرَّبُّ عَلَى فِرَاشِ الأَلَمِ، وَيَرُدُّ عَافِيَتَهُ.

Psalm 41:3

Now when Jesus had come into Peter’s house, He saw his wife’s mother lying sick with a fever. ¹⁵ So He touched her hand, and the fever left her. And she arose and served them.

وَذَهَبَ يَسُوعُ إِلَى بَيْتِ بُطْرُسَ، فَوَجَدَ حَمَاتَهُ طَرِيحَةَ الْفِرَاشِ تُعَانِي مِنَ الْحُمَّى.

 ¹⁵ فَلَمَسَ يَدَهَا، فَذَهَبَتْ عَنْهَا الْحُمَّى، وَنَهَضَتْ وَأَخَذَتْ تَخْدِمُهُ.

Matthew 8:14-15

We know that Jesus has the healing power and that He performed many miracles when He was on earth. The question many of us sometimes ask is: Does He still heal today? The answer is in the following biblical truth:

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

 ⁸ يَسُوعُ الْمَسِيحُ هُوَ هُوَ أَمْساً وَالْيَوْمَ وَإِلَى الأَبَدِ.

Hebrews 13:8

Jesus did not want those who were healed to go and announce about His miracles because, I believe, He wanted us to concentrate on Him and His message of Salvation, rather than the miracles themselves. He also told many of those He healed ‘your faith has healed you’.

Jesus is still healing.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourselves and others:

Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings and deep inseparable love. Lord, give us enough faith to receive Your healing. Lord, I pray for all those who are sick and afflicted and for their families. God, give us health and perseverance, help us to go through the tough times knowing You are carrying us. As You taught us Jesus, in Your prayers to The Father, Your will be done. I continue to declare Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and pray in His holy name. To Him be the power, the glory, the majesty, the blessings, and the dominion forever and ever, and unto ages of all ages. Amen.

April 23 Devotion - When we feel down emotionally

I searched the Bible for God’s relief and support for the times when I feel sad, depressed, blue, worried or run out of motivation to help me continue. I found God telling me:

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

The Lord is near to you because you have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit. Psalm 34:17-20

“My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:9   

All things will work together for good for you because you love God, Romans 8:28  

Make sure to rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and your mind in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7

Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings and deep inseparable love. Lord, I thank you for knowing every emotion we go through and for having an answer and support for me today. Strengthen me Lord to be of good courage. Thank You Lord that during my period of weakness Your strength is made perfect. Help me Lord to pray continuously. I rejoice in the assurance that You are with me God wherever I am, that all things will work together for good for me, and that I will rejoice because Your peace God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard my heart and my mind in Christ Jesus; in whose Holy Name I pray. To Him be the power, the glory, the majesty, the blessings, and the dominion forever and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.

April 22 Devotion - Parakletos

And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you forever--

 وانا اطلب من الآب فيعطيكم معزيا آخر ليمكث معكم الى الابد .

 John 14:16

In the original Greek the word used to describe the Holy Spirit is the word Parakletos, or “Comforter.” It suggests the giving of aid much like a legal counselor or advocate would do.

The sense in which Parakletos is used means “to come alongside another while giving strength and encouraging support.” The Holy Spirit is God’s personal representative here on earth. He is the third person of the Trinity.

Jesus knew the void within the hearts of His disciples would be great after He returned to the Father. Therefore, God in His greatness and compassion sent the Holy Spirit to comfort the followers of Christ, and He is still with us today. He is our Guide to all truth and our personal Advocate and Comforter before the throne of God.

This is our peace and strength—knowing that whatever we face, God faces it with us through the Holy Spirit.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings and deep inseparable love. Through the Holy Spirit that indwells me as a believer and a follower of Jesus Christ; my Lord and Saviour; fill me with the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Grant me Lord the Spirit of Wisdom to aspire the things that are eternal, enlighten my mind to Your divine teachings and fill my heart with Your divine presence. In Jesus’ name I pray. To Him be the power, the glory, the majesty, the blessings, and the dominion forever and ever, Amen.

April 21 Devotion - A double Portion

Instead of your shame you will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace you will rejoice in your inheritance.
And so you will inherit a double portion in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours.

عوضا عن خزيكم ضعفان وعوضا عن الخجل يبتهجون بنصيبهم. لذلك يرثون في ارضهم ضعفين. بهجة ابدية تكون لهم.

Isaiah 61:7

God sent these promises and words of encouragement to His people when they were going through a very difficult time in the Old Testament.

The question I asked myself was: do these words apply to us; the believers in His Son and our Redeemer; today? Do they apply to the Christians who are persecuted and beheaded for their faith all over the world today? Do these words apply today to any Christian believer who is facing personal challenges?

I believe they do because our Lord is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. God is always faithful to His Word. Let us rejoice then because our God will give us restoration and make all things better above and beyond our expectations.

“We know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”

Romans 8:28

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings and deep inseparable love. Thank You for Your faithfulness and wisdom. Abba, please strengthen my faith and help me to stay obedient to You so that I can receive what You promised as a double portion of blessings for my challenges in every area of my life. O’Lord guide and direct my steps to Your everlasting joy. Lord I pray for all The Christian Believers in the world who are suffering because of their faith. Let all things work together for good for them and grant them a double portion of peace and joy. In Jesus’ name I pray. To Him be the power, the glory, the majesty, the blessings, and the dominion forever and ever, Amen.
