September 22 Devotion - I am A Child of God

Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—

أَمَّا الَّذِينَ قَبِلُوهُ، أَيِ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا بِاسْمِهِ، فَقَدْ مَنَحَهُمُ الْحَقَّ فِي أَنْ يَصِيرُوا أَوْلاَدَ اللهِ،

John 1:12 

How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.

تَأَمَّلُوا مَا أَعْظَمَ الْمَحَبَّةَ الَّتِي أَحَبَّنَا بِهَا الآبُ حَتَّى صِرْنَا نُدْعَى «أَوْلاَدَ اللهِ»، وَنَحْنُ أَوْلاَدُهُ حَقّاً. وَلَكِنْ، بِمَا أَنَّ أَهْلَ الْعَالَمِ لاَ يَعْرِفُونَ اللهَ، فَهُمْ لاَ يَعْرِفُونَنَا.

1 John 3

 We who by nature are heirs of sin, and guilt, and the curse of God; we who by practice are children of corruption, disobedience, and ingratitude are transformed by the grace of God, and He is not ashamed to be called our Father, and to call us His children. This transformation is made possible by the atoning and redeeming blood of Christ and our acceptance through faith that Jesus died on our behalf and by our declaration by mouth and actions that Jesus is our Lord and Saviour.

 

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You for Your deep and everlasting love for me, Your abundant blessings, and for the riches of Your grace in my life. Thank You Lord that You love me so much that You gave Your only begotten Son Jesus to die for my sins; so that I can become a child of God when I receive Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour.  Lord, help me to see myself as You see me; a unique, irreplaceable and beloved creation with a divine and eternal plan and purpose. I hold my head up high and face the world with the knowledge that I am a child of God and my heavenly Father is the King of the universe.  Jesus I pray that every person will believe in Your name and accept You as their Lord and Saviour and through You become a child of God. Amen.

September 21 Devotion - GOD is all you Need

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Abba Father, thank You for Your deep and everlasting love for me, Your abundant blessings, and for the riches of Your grace in my life. Lord, help me to stop leaning on my own understanding and abilities and to depend totally on Your wisdom and power, and Your divine will and plan for my life. I believe that You will supply all my needs according to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Guide me and direct my paths Lord to always follow Your Son Jesus Christ. Jesus, I put all my worries and problems at the feet of Your Cross. I know that You will give me rest, peace, joy, victory, and fill my heart with Your love, for You died for the forgiveness of my sins and to redeem me and declare me righteous in the eyes of the LORD. Father I pray to You in the Holy Name of Your only begotten Son Jesus. To Jesus be the power, the glory, the majesty and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

September 20 Devotion - Bless The Lord at all times

I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.

ابارك الرب في كل حين. دائما تسبيحه في فمي.

Psalm 34:1

O LORD, be gracious to us; we long for you. Be our strength every morning, our salvation in time of distress.

يَارَبُّ ارْحَمْنَا. إِيَّاكَ انْتَظَرْنَا، كُنْ عَضُدَنَا فِي الصَّبَاحِ، وَخَلاَصَنَا فِي أَثْنَاءِ الْمِحْنَةِ.

Isaiah 33:2

It would be great to wake up every morning anticipating and expecting God’s blessings and to follow that with praises for The Almighty all day. Our words have a powerful impact on our lives, for God’s word teaches us that:

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.

الموت والحياة في يد اللسان واحباؤه ياكلون ثمره.

Proverbs 18:21

Whatever is happening to us or around us we have the option to choose words that empower us and give us joy; or words that can kill our enthusiasm and our health.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You for Your deep and everlasting love for me, Your abundant blessings, and for the riches of Your grace in my life. Lord, teach me to wake up with enthusiasm regarding each day and fill my mouth with words of praise for Your blessings, love, and grace and remind me to keep doing that all day for You have promised: ‘For those who honour Me I will honour’ 1 Samuel 2:30.  Lord, I rejoice in Your promise to pour out Your favour on me and lead my life, and to bless me with health, strength and blessings all the days of my life. God bless me with the gift of always having Your name on my lips. God I praise You, revere You, worship You, I stand in awe of You, and glorify Your Holy Name. I declare to the world that Christ is my Lord and Saviour. In the name of the King of kings and Lord of lords, in the Holy Name of Your only begotten Son Jesus, I pray to You Father. To Jesus be the power, the glory, the majesty and the dominion forever and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.

September 19 Devotion - Everlasting Life

The Father loves the Son and has given and entrusted all things into His hand. ³⁶ He who believes and trusts in the Son and accepts Him [as Savior] has eternal life [that is, already possesses it]; but he who does not believe the Son and chooses to reject Him, [disobeying Him and denying Him as Savior] will not see [eternal] life, but [instead] the wrath of God hangs over him continually.”

John 3:35-36

الآب يحب الابن وقد دفع كل شيء في يده.

36 الذي يؤمن بالابن له حياة ابدية. والذي لا يؤمن بالابن لن يرى حياة بل يمكث عليه غضب الله

When we have faith in, cling to and rely on Jesus Christ, accept Him as our Saviour, and make Him Lord over our lives, we possess eternal life.

But whoever is unbelieving toward Jesus and refuses to trust in Him, disregards Him or is not subject to the Son will never experience eternal life, but instead the wrath of God abides on him/her.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You for Your deep and everlasting love for me, Your abundant blessings, and for the riches of Your grace. Lord, may Your love endure forever in my heart. Help me Lord to regulate my life and conduct myself in union with and conformity to Jesus Christ my Lord and Saviour. Strengthen me Lord to have the roots of my inner being firmly and deeply planted in Jesus. Help me Lord to be fixed and founded in Jesus and be continually built up in Him. Help me Father to become increasingly more confirmed and established in the faith, and abounding and overflowing in it with thanksgiving. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. ‘Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.’ Ephesians 3:20-21
