June 22 Devotion - Feelings versus Truth - Feeling rejected

In the last three days we examined the negative feelings of being unworthy, unloved and insignificant, and we studied God’s answers and truth about those feelings. Today we will examine the last negative feeling in this series of devotions, the feeling of being rejected.

My objective is that we can all get rid of these negative feelings by knowing God’s truth. I am first on that list.
Sometimes our negative feelings may be caused by:
·     Our upbringing,
·     What is happening in our lives,
·     How we are being treated,
·     How we see ourselves.

Feeling rejected

  ·     Whenever we feel rejected, let us remember that we are chosen by God and are precious to God.

Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious.

الذي اذ تأتون اليه حجرا حيّا مرفوضا من الناس ولكن مختار من الله كريم
1 Peter 2:4

Did you ever feel rejected? Well if you did, you are not alone. So how does God address this feeling? By pointing out the truth and ‘the truth will set us free’.

The best way to combat this emotion is to return to The Word of God and see what He says about us or to us.

See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands;

Isaiah 49:16

I do not know about you my friend, but since God has chosen me and inscribed my name on the palms of His hands, then I will repeat with the psalmist:

The LORD is on my side; what can man do unto me?

اللهُ إلَى جانِبِي فَلا أخافُ.
فَما الَّذِي يُمكِنُ لِبَشَرٍ أنْ يَصنَعَهُ بِي؟
Psalm 118:6

Let us remember that Jesus prayed for us and asked God to sanctify us by His truth. Truth about us is what is important, not our feelings.

Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.

قدسهم في حقك. كلامك هو حق
John 17:17

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings. Father, whenever I feel rejected, remind me of Your love for me and that You have inscribed me on the palms of Your hands. Sanctify me by Your truth Father and ‘cut’ this feeling of being rejected and ‘paste’ the knowledge that You are on my side so what can man’s rejection do unto me, nothing. Through the truth that Jesus loves me so much that he considers me His friend and He died in my place I will never ever feel rejected again. In Jesus’ mighty name I pray. To Him be the power, the glory and the dominion forever and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.

Jesus loves you,
In Him,

June 20 Devotion - Feelings versus Truth - Feeling unloved

Irrespective of our positive attitude, positive thinking, and a general upbeat nature some of us may have, we are all subject to feeling negative at times. Yesterday we examined the negative feeling of being unworthy and studied God’s answers and truth about that feeling. Today we will examine the feeling of being unloved.

My objective is that we can all get rid of these negative feelings by knowing God’s truth. I am first on that list.
Sometimes we may have negative feelings that may be caused by:

Feeling unloved
Do you ever feel unloved? Well you are not alone. So how does God address this feeling? By pointing out the truth and ‘the truth will set us free’.

The best way to combat this emotion is to return to The Word of God and see what He says about us or to us.

·     Whenever we feel unloved, let us remember that God loves us so much that He sent His only Son to die in our place and grant us everlasting life.

16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

John 3:16
What Jesus did for us by dying in our place is the ultimate type of love, for Jesus said:

Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.
John 15:13

Let us remember that Jesus prayed for us and asked God to sanctify us by His truth. Truth about us is what is important not our feelings.

Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.
John 17:17

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings. Father, whenever I feel unloved, remind me of Your love, and Your promises. Sanctify me by Your truth Father and ‘cut’ this feeling of being unloved and ‘paste’ Your love for me deep into my heart and my spirit. Through the truth that Jesus loves me so much that he considers me His friend and He died in my place I will never ever feel unloved again. In Jesus’ mighty name I pray. To Him be the power, the glory and the dominion forever and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.

June 19 Devotion - Feelings versus Truth - Feeling unworthy

Irrespective of our positive attitude, positive thinking, and a general upbeat nature some of us may have, we are all subject to feeling negative at times. In the next several devotions I would like to explore some of the negative feelings we may experience and study God’s answers and truth about these feelings. My objective is that we can all get rid of these negative feelings by knowing God’s truth. I am first on that list.

Sometimes we may have negative feelings that may be caused by:
·     Our upbringing,
·     What is happening in our lives,
·     How we are being treated,
·     How we see ourselves.

Do you ever feel unworthy? Well you are not alone. So how does God address this feeling? By pointing out the truth and ‘the truth will set us free’.

The best way to combat this emotion is to return to The Word of God and see what He says about us or to us.

Whenever we feel unworthy let us remember that God made us in His image, so we are precious:

Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness”
وقال الله نعمل الانسان على صورتنا كشبهنا
Genesis 1: 26

God created us so that He might have a unique relationship with us. We were made in "his image" so that we might be capable of fellowship with our creator.
Let us remember that Jesus prayed for us and asked God to sanctify us by His truth. Truth about us is what is important not our feelings.

Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.
قدسهم في حقك. كلامك هو حق
John 17:17

And, "I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty."

2 Corinthians 6:18

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, whenever I feel unworthy please remind me of Your truths, Your words, Your love, and Your promises. Thank You Father that You created me in Your image and Your likeness and I am Your child Father God. Sanctify me by Your truth Father and ‘cut’ this feeling of unworthiness and ‘paste’ Your truth deep into my heart and my spirit. Through the truth that I am made in God’s image and my sanctification through Jesus Christ, I will never ever feel unworthy again. Abba Father, thank You that Your deep steadfast love for me endures forever. Thank You Father for Your abundant blessings in my life, and for the riches of Your grace upon my life. I come to You Father in the name of Your only begotten Son Jesus, to whom be honour and everlasting power. Amen.

Jesus loves you,
In Him,
