A man’s steps are of the Lord; How then can a man understand his own way?

من الرب خطوات الرجل. اما الانسان فكيف يفهم طريقه.

Proverbs 20:24

I tend to depend a lot on my knowledge and experience when making decisions and taking action. According to this Proverb from The Scriptures God is telling me that I should instead depend on God’s knowledge and wisdom and His knowledge of His divine plan for my life. I need to involve God in every minute decision and action in order to receive His direction for my life.

I believe that God wants us to be totally connected and dependent on Him. Our connection with Him is not to be kept only for big problems or decisions, or just on Sundays.

Jesus said: I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

John 15:5

انا الكرمة وانتم الاغصان .الذي يثبت فيّ وانا فيه هذا يأتي بثمر كثير .لانكم بدوني لا تقدرون ان تفعلوا شيئا .

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, I thank You that You love me and enjoy my fellowship with You so much that You want to be involved in every decision and action in my life. Help me Lord to constantly and totally depend on Your direction, guidance, wisdom, grace, mercy, and Your unfailing, steadfast, deep, and everlasting love. Abba Father, I worship You, praise You, glorify You, and lift You up on high Lord. Jesus, You are the vine and I am the branch and I am nothing without You. Help me to abide in You. Jesus, I pray to Our Father in Your precious Holy Name. To You be the glory, the power, the dominion, the majesty and the blessings before all time and now and forevermore. Amen.

June 20 Devotion - Why should we love God? - Final Part - God is Faithful

In part 1 to 4 of this series of devotions we covered five reasons for loving God. There are many other reasons shown in the Bible in why and how to love God however for the sake of this devotion series let us look at one more final reason.

Reasons to love God:

1.  

We love Him because He first loved us.

نحن نحبه لانه هو احبنا اولا.

I John 4.19

2.  

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

لانه هكذا احب الله العالم حتى بذل ابنه الوحيد لكي لا يهلك كل من يؤمن به بل تكون له الحياة الابدية.

John 3:16

3.  

The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms.

فَالإِلَهُ الأَبَدِيُّ هُوَ مَلْجَأُكُمْ، وَتَحْتَكُمْ تَنْبَسِطُ الأَذْرُعُ الأَبَدِيَّةُ،

Deuteronomy 33:27 ﺍﻟﺘﺜﻨﻴﺔ

4.

God is my strength and power, And He makes my way perfect

اللهُ حِصْنِيَ المَنِيْعُ.
يُساعِدُ الأنقياءَ ليسلُكوا الدرب الصحيح،

2Samuel 22:33 ﺻﻤﻮﺋﻴﻞ ﺍﻟﺜﺎﻧﻲ

The LORD is compassionate, merciful, gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in love.

اللهُ حَنُونٌ وَرَحِيمٌ
حَلِيمٌ وَمَلِيءٌ بالمَحَبَّةِ.

ﺍﻟﻤﺰﺍﻣﻴﺮ  Psalm 103:8

God is faithful. He has chosen you to share life with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

فَأمِينٌ هُوَ اللهُ الَّذِي دَعاكُمْ إلَى الشَّرِكَةِ مَعَ ابنِهِ يَسُوعَ المِسِيحِ رَبِّنا.

1 Corinthians 1:9  ﻛﻮﺭﻧﺜﻮﺱ ﺍﻻﻭﻝ

God never asks us to do something He does not do, and He does it so much better and so much more. So imagine how He loves us when He asks us to love Him. He loves us with all His heart, all His soul, all His mind and all His strength. I invite each one of us to experience and sense and try to comprehend how much God loves each one of us.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings. Thank You God that You are trustworthy in all Your promises and faithful to me in all You do. Psalm 145:13 You keep Your covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love You and keep Your commandments. Deuteronomy 7:9 Thank You God that You are faithful and compassionate towards me, You show mercy toward me in the most tender and affectionate manner, You have chosen me Lord to share my life with Your son Jesus.

Father, please pour Your love into my heart through Your Holy Spirit like You did with The Disciples in Pentecost. In Jesus’ name I pray. Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21

June 19 Devotion - Why should we love God? - Part 4

In part 1,2 & 3 of this series of devotions we covered the first four reasons for loving God.

Reasons to love God:

Abba Father, thank You God that You are compassionate towards me, You show mercy toward me  in the most tender and affectionate manner; You are slow to anger even though I am sometimes not obedient and You are always covering me with Your love. Through Your grace I am saved . Thank You Lord that You are my strength and You make me walk in the perfect path that You have designed for me. O’ my eternal and almighty God, in You my soul reposes. I put my total trust in You. Protect me and comfort me forever in any situation especially during my greatest distresses. Lord, thank You for loving me first and thank You for Your abundant blessings. Lord I want to love You back with an intense love. Lord if there is anything in my life that is keeping me from loving You the way You want me to love You and to be totally committed to You Lord, then please reveal it to me and erase it from my life. Father, please pour Your love into my heart through Your Holy Spirit. Father I rejoice in Your grace and faithfulness. I praise You, glorify You, and lift You up on high. God I pray to You in the name of Your precious Son; The King of kings and Lord of lords, my Redeemer, Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, the power, the dominion, the majesty and the blessings forever and ever and unto ages of all ages. Amen.

June 18 Devotion - Why should we love God? - Part 3

In part 1& 2 of this series of devotions we covered the first three reasons for loving God.

We should love God because He is our strength, in Him we are strong. By Him we are guided in our lives. Without Him we would lose our way and also be ‘lost’.

Lord, thank You for loving me; and for loving me first. Lord I want to love You back with an intense love. Lord if there is anything in my life that is keeping me from loving You the way You want me to love You and to be totally committed to You Lord, then please reveal it to me and erase it from my life.
