June 19 Devotion - I will see it when I believe it

By faith we understand that the worlds [during the successive ages] were framed (fashioned, put in order, and equipped for their intended purpose) by the word of God, so that what we see was not made out of things which are visible.
Hebrews 11:3
Amplified Bible (AMP)

This verse tells me that I have to look with my eyes of faith because the provision, healing and miracle I need is already available in God’s realm. I believe that I was created by Almighty God to live a blessed and fulfilled life.
I believe that many of us may be living far below the level of what God truly intended for us because we do not have enough faith and imagination to see God’s plan and believe how it could happen.

Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

Mark 11:24  ﻣﺮﻗﺲ

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, I pray that out of Your glorious riches You strengthen me with power through Your Spirit in my inner being, so that I can look with my eyes of faith and believe that You have a glorious plan for my life and see it materialize because that which I will see was not made out of things which are visible, as Jesus said “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26 Help me Lord to focus on You, not on my circumstances. Help me Lord to pray for things that are aligned with Your will and help me to believe that I have received them, so that I can have them. Thank You Lord for Your unfailing, inseparable, deep and everlasting love for me, Your abundant blessings in my life, and for the riches of Your grace upon my life. God I pray to You in the name of Your precious Son; my Redeemer, Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, the power, the dominion, the majesty and the blessings before all time and now and forevermore. Amen.

June 17 Devotion - Feeling unloved - Feelings versus Truth

Do you ever feel unloved? Well you are not alone. So how does God address this feeling? By pointing out the truth and ‘the truth will set us free’.

The best way to combat this emotion is to return to The Word of God and see what He says about us or to us.

  • Whenever we feel unloved, let us remember that God loves us so much that He sent His only Son to die in our place and grant us everlasting life.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
John 3:16
What Jesus did for us by dying in our place is the ultimate type of love, for Jesus said:

Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.
John 15:13

Let us remember that Jesus prayed for us and asked God to sanctify us by His truth. Truth about us is what is important not our feelings.

Sanctify them in the truth [set them apart for Your purposes, make them holy]; Your word is truth.
John 17:17

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father,  whenever I feel unloved, remind me of Your love, and Your promises. Sanctify me by Your truth Father and ‘cut’ this feeling of being unloved and ‘paste’ Your love for me deep into my heart and my spirit. Through the truth that Jesus loves me so much that he considers me His friend and He died in my place I will never ever feel unloved again. Thank You Father God for Your unfailing, inseparable, deep and everlasting love for me and Your abundant blessings in my life and for the riches of Your grace upon my life. In Jesus’ mighty name I pray. To Him be the power, the glory and the dominion forever and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.

In Him,

June 16 Devotion - Feelings versus Truth - Feeling unworthy

Irrespective that we may have a positive attitude, positive thinking, and a general upbeat nature we are all subject to feeling negative at times. In today’s and tomorrow’s devotions I would like to explore some of the negative feelings we may experience and study God’s answers and truth about these feelings. My objective is that I (and maybe you) can get rid of these negative feelings by knowing God’s truth.

Sometimes we may have negative feelings that may be caused by:
  • Our upbringing,
  • What is happening in our lives,
  • How we are being treated,
  • How we see ourselves.

Do you ever feel unworthy? Well you are not alone. So how does God address this feeling? By pointing out the truth and ‘the truth will set us free’.

The best way to combat this emotion is to return to The Word of God and see what He says about us or to us.

Whenever we feel unworthy let us remember that God made us in His image, so we are precious:

Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness”
Genesis 1: 26

God created us so that He might have a unique relationship with us. We were made in "his image" so that we might be capable of fellowship with our creator.
Let us remember that Jesus prayed for us and asked God to sanctify us by His truth. Truth about us is what is important not our feelings.

Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.

John 17:17

And, "I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty."

2 Corinthians 6:18

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, whenever I feel unworthy please remind me of Your truths, Your words, Your love, and Your promises. Thank You Father that You created me in Your image and Your likeness and I am Your child Father God. Sanctify me by Your truth Father and ‘cut’ this feeling of unworthiness and ‘paste’ Your truth deep into my heart and my spirit. Through the truth that I am made in God’s image and my sanctification through Jesus Christ, I will never ever feel unworthy again. Abba Father, thank You that Your deep steadfast love for me endures forever. Thank You Father for Your abundant blessings in my life, and for the riches of Your grace upon my life. I come to You Father in the name of Your only begotten Son Jesus, to whom be honour , glory and everlasting power. Amen.

June 15 Devotion - We walk by faith

For we walk by faith, not by sight.

2 Corinthians 5:7

God has given us the ability to solve many of the problems we face; His greater desire for us however, is to live our lives dependent on Him.

Some of us try to walk by faith but sometimes fail. We need to stop trying and instead we need to trust God fully and live with the knowledge that He is able to do what we cannot do for ourselves.

For most of us before we get to trust God fully we must get to a point of helpless dependence. In a state of helpless dependence we realize that we simply cannot do it all and need God’s help, guidance and wisdom. This is the situation the whole world is in with the Covid-19 pandemic.

The basic foundation to our Christian faith is to trust God more than we trust ourselves. When we do this, we gain wisdom and hope in every area of life.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, please help me to realize that my total dependence on You is not an indication of weakness on my part, but a sign of strength and confidence in You and Your promises. Help me God to become totally dependent on You. Lord, show me Your ways that I may be holy (consecrated and set apart for You) and walk with You in confidence and trust all the days of my life. Thank You Father God for Your deep, everlasting, and inseparable love for me, Your abundant blessings in my life and for Your  grace upon my life. In the name of my Lord and Saviour Jesus The Christ, Your only begotten Son, I pray to You Father. To Jesus be the power, the glory, the majesty, the blessings, and the dominion before all time and now and forever. Amen.

Jesus loves you,

In Him,
