January 26 Devotion - Renewed Strength and Endurance

Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. Those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.

 Hebrews 12:1-2, Isaiah 40:31

The scripture tells us that when we run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, and have

hope in the Lord, our strength will be renewed. When we become weary and tired of coping with the global tribulation called Covid-19 and find that the cares of the world are overcoming us, we need to shift back our focus and put our hope in the Lord. In His time we shall be renewed and mount up with wings like eagles. By focusing on Jesus the author and finisher of our faith, we will have endurance to go from grace to more grace.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, strengthen me O’Lord to keep my eyes focused on Jesus and to allow Him to work in my life, giving me the endurance required to achieve Your will in my life. Father God I want to soar like an eagle and to never weary doing Your work  God I want to learn to wait upon You and I want to experience Your peace and joy as I await. Thank You Lord for your abundant blessings in my life and for Your grace upon my life. Now to Him who is able to carry out His purpose and do infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Ephesians 3:20-21 (AMP). Amen.

In Him,

January 25 Devotion - We cannot be separated from God’s love for us

Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? 37 No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.

38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. 39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:35-39 New Living Translation (NLT)

God’s love for His children, the ones who have accepted Jesus as their Saviour and made Him Lord over their lives, can never change or be altered by whatever means or circumstances. Nothing we can do can make God love us any more or any less —indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God for us that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. Do you feel His love? Do you sometimes think He doesn’t love you because of your behaviour and actions? He loves us not because we deserve it but because of His grace and mercy and Jesus’ redemptive work at the cross. Rejoice in God’s love for you.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You Lord that nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate me from Your love for me God, that is revealed in Christ Jesus my Lord.  Thank You Lord that Jesus bought me with His precious blood, through His redemptive work at The Cross. Thank You Father for Your abundant blessings and Your unfailing, inseparable, deep, and everlasting love for me. In the Holy Name of Jesus, I pray. To Jesus be the power, the glory, the majesty, and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Jesus loves you,

In Him,

January 22 Devotion - The Divinity of Silence

He who guards his mouth and his tongue guards himself from troubles.

 مَنْ يَنْتَبِهْ إلَى كَلَامِهِ يَحْفَظْ نَفْسَهُ مِنَ المَتَاعِبِ.

Proverbs 21:23

Here are 20 situations where the Bible recommends that we be silent:

1. Be silent In the heat of anger - (Proverbs 14:17)

2. Be silent When you don't have all the facts - (Proverbs 18:13)

3. Be silent When you haven't verified the story -(Deuteronomy 17:6)

4. Be silent If your words will offend a weaker person - (1 Corinthians 8:11)

5. Be silent When it is time to listen - (Proverbs 13:1)

6. Be silent When you are tempted to make light of holy things - (Ecclesiastics 5:2)

7. Be silent When you are tempted to joke about sin - (Proverbs 14:9)

8. Be silent If you would be ashamed of your words later - (Proverbs 8:8)

9. Be silent If your words would convey the wrong impression - (Proverbs 17:27)

10. Be silent If the issue is none of your business - (Proverbs 14:10)

11. Be silent When you are tempted to tell an outright lie - (Proverbs 4:24)

12. Be silent If your words will damage someone else's reputation - (Proverbs16:27)

13. Be silent If your words will damage a friendship- (Proverbs 16:28)

14. Be silent When you are feeling critical - (James 3:9)

15. Be silent If you can't say it without screaming it - (Proverbs 25:28)

16. Be silent If your words will be a poor reflection of the Lord or your friends and family - (1 Peter 2:21-23)

17. Be silent If you may have to eat your words later - (Proverbs 18:21)

18. Be silent If you have already said it more than one time - (Proverbs 19:13)

19. Be silent When you are tempted to flatter a wicked person - (Proverbs 24:24)

20. Be silent When you are supposed to be working instead - (Proverbs 14:23)

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, please teach me the divinity of silence and help me to stay silent when silence is the best response. Give me wisdom and discernment Lord to follow Your directions and guidance. Lord help me to seek and depend on The Holy Spirit; which You have placed within me; in all circumstances. Teach me Lord and help me to surrender to the direction of The Holy Spirit. Abba Father, thank You for loving me with an unfailing, deep, and everlasting love. Thank You for Your abundant blessings and for the riches of Your grace upon my life. To Him who is able to keep me from stumbling and to present me before His glorious presence without fault and with great joy, to the only God our Saviour be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore. Amen. Jude 1:24-25

Jesus loves you,

In Him,
