December 2 Devotion - Our Citizenship is in Heaven

For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ

Philippians 3:20

We who have accepted Jesus Christ as Saviour and made Him Lord over our lives have a new citizenship, we are citizens of heaven. Our thoughts, our affections, are centred on heaven.  We look unto the heavens expecting Christ’s return. We fully believe by faith that getting to heaven as our home, is only possible through Jesus Christ as our Way.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You Lord that You redeemed me and granted me forgiveness of my sins, according to the riches of Your grace. Thank You God that You have bestowed me with the honour of being a citizen of heaven, where You and Jesus dwell. So my citizenship is not of this world but of heaven. 'My Father in heaven, hallowed be Your Name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven’. Thank You Father for loving me with a deep and everlasting love, thank You for Your abundant blessings in my life, and for the riches of Your grace upon my life. LORD, I pray that out of Your glorious riches You strengthen me with power through Your Spirit in my inner being, so that I can continue to declare to the world that Christ is my Lord and Saviour and Jesus may continue to dwell in my heart through faith. In the Holy Name of Jesus, I pray. To Him be the glory and the power and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

December 1 Devotion - Glory in Tribulations

And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; 4 and perseverance, character; and character, hope.

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

 Romans 5:3-4, Romans 8:28

A.

Are you experiencing tribulations? Are you worried? Are you depending only on another human being to help you?

B.

Are you experiencing tribulations? Do You love God? Do you trust God? Do you have His purpose in your heart? Are you depending on Him?

If you are in the ‘B’ category: Good news……….. Everything will work out for your good.

If you are in the ‘A ’category:  work on choosing ‘B’.

Listen to what God says:

It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man. Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Psalm 118:8, Proverbs 3:5-6, Philippians 4:7

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, help me to always have an attitude of gratitude. Lord increase my love for You, my trust in You, and my dependence on You. Guide me to always acknowledge Your love for me and Your grace in my life. Convert any tribulations in my life to an increased hope through an increase in my perseverance level, and an improvement and strength in my character. I rejoice in the fact that all things will work for good in my life. I also rejoice that You are directing my path and that through Jesus; my Lord and Saviour; my heart and mind are guarded. To Jesus be the glory, the power, and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

November 30 Devotion - You are the apple of God's eye

For thus says the LORD of hosts:… “For he who touches you touches the apple of His eye.”

Zechariah 2:8

God loves us so very much.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 3:16

And now the eyes of the Father are forever focused on us because of Christ’s atoning death on The Cross for us.

“Can a woman forget her nursing child, and not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you. 16 See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands;

 Isaiah 49:15-16

God will never forget us; the followers of Christ; for He has inscribed our names on the palms of His Hands. Neither will He forget the church, the body of believers.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings and deep inseparable love. Lord, forgive me if at times I feel that You have forgotten me. Increase my faith so as to know, believe, and trust that You never forget me. I am privileged and thankful that as a believer and follower of Jesus Christ; Your only begotten Son; that I am so precious to You, that my name is written on the palms of Your hands. Thank You Lord for loving me so much that You consider that whoever touches me touches the apple of Your eye. I thank You, praise You and glorify You, in the name of Jesus my Lord and Saviour, to whom be honour, glory and power forever and ever . Amen.

In Him,
