November 20 Devotion - In The Son, not under the Sun

Then I looked on all the works that my hands had done
      And on the labor in which I had toiled;
And indeed all was vanity and grasping for the wind.
There was no profit under the sun.

 Ecclesiastes 2:11

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

John 14:6

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, please give me wisdom to learn from King Solomon who ‘became great and excelled more than all who were before him’, yet found everything under the sun to be ‘vanity and grasping for the wind’. Change my focus O’Lord from earthly glory to spiritual glory IN Your Son Jesus. I come to You Father in the name of Your Son Jesus acknowledging, declaring and confessing that Jesus is The way, The truth, and The life and that no one can come to You Father except through Jesus Christ my Lord and Saviour. Strengthen me Jesus and teach me to be content under all circumstances as You taught the Apostle Paul and to be able to face any situation with the belief that ‘I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me’. Thank You Father God for Your abundant blessings and Your deep, unfailing, everlasting, and inseparable love for me. In the holy name of Jesus I pray. To Jesus be the glory, the power, and the dominion before all time, now, and forevermore. Amen.

Jesus loves you,

November 19 Devotion - Joy Fulfilled

“I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, that they may have My joy fulfilled in themselves….

20I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word.”

John 17:9, 20

Jesus is praying for you and me and for all other believers who have declared Him as their Lord and Saviour. He is requesting from The Father that we may experience Jesus’ joy fulfilled in us, and that Jesus’ enjoyment be perfected in our souls. He requests that our hearts be filled with His gladness.

Feeling joyful is what everyone wants, and we believers should be the most joyful, for our salvation is guaranteed through Christ.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You for Your deep and everlasting love for me, Your abundant blessings, and for the riches of Your grace in my life. Thank You Jesus for praying for me to The Father. Heavenly Father I long to experience Jesus’ delight fulfilled in me, and Jesus’ enjoyment perfected in my soul. I long to have my heart filled with His gladness. Fill me God totally and envelop me with Your Grace, so that I can feel an inner joy independent of circumstances. Jesus You said: “These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.” John 15:11 Jesus I long for and pray that Your Joy remains in me and that my Joy be full and that I always rejoice in You. Father God, I praise You, glorify You and lift You up on high. I thank You and adore You. In the name of the King of kings and Lord of lords, in the Holy Name of Jesus I pray. I declare Jesus as my Lord and Saviour, to Him be the power, the glory, the majesty, the blessings, and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

October 20 Devotion - Your DNA in God - Part 23 - I am hidden with Christ in God. I have been justified

You died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God, therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Colossians 3:3, Romans 5:1

When we accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, we are born again, of the spirit. Our love for sin fades and dies and our love for God is in Christ. God has justified us, or declared us not guilty, because by the gift of faith we have accepted Christ as Saviour.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You God that You redeemed me and granted me forgiveness of my sins, and justified me according to the riches of Your grace and I now have peace with You God through my Lord Jesus Christ. Thank You Lord that my DNA reveals that I am a child of God, and that I was purchased with the precious blood of Christ. Abba Father, thank You that Your unfailing, deep, and steadfast love for me endures forever. Thank You Father for Your abundant blessings in my life, and for the riches of Your grace upon my life. LORD, I pray that out of Your glorious riches You strengthen me and spiritually energize me with power through Your Spirit in my inner being, so that I may die to this life and live a new real life hidden with Christ in You. I declare to the world that Christ is my Lord and Saviour and Friend. In the holy name of Jesus, I pray. To Jesus be the glory, the power, and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

October 14 Devotion - Your DNA in God - Part 22 - I am God's temple-I am complete in Christ

You are the temple of God and the Spirit of God dwells in you and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.

1 Corinthians 3:16, Colossians 2:10

The Holy Spirit dwells in all true believers who have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. Christians are set apart for God and His service. We are sacred to Him and must not do anything that would alienate ourselves from Him, or corrupt and pollute ourselves, and thereby make ourselves unfit for His use. We should detest, and avoid, what would defile God's temple.

We are in Jesus, made full. In Jesus dwells the fullness; being in Him, we are filled. We are complete in Him. We need nothing more. the head of all principality and power, supplies every need.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings and love. Thank You Lord that my DNA reveals that I am a child of God, and I was purchased with the precious blood of Christ. Thank You Jesus that Your spirit dwells in me. Thank You Jesus that in You I am made full, and You supply all my needs. LORD, I pray that out of Your glorious riches You strengthen me with power through Your Spirit in my inner being, so that I can detest and avoid what would defile me. I am honoured to be God's temple and be sacred to You God, make me worthy to be of service to You. I pray in the holy name of Jesus who is the head of all principality and power. To Jesus be the glory, the power, and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

October 13 Devotion - I wish you a Happy Thanksgiving

Giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 5:20

Today is Canadian Thanksgiving day. Best wishes to all my Canadian friends and family and to the whole nation. Since we should be thanking God at all times this is dedicated to everyone.

Your circumstances today may be bright. If so, give God the praise that He deserves. However, if your situation is bleak, still give God thanks. Giving thanks in everything (that does not leave us with any exceptions) is possible when we understand that every situation, good or bad, is used by our loving Father to further our dependence on Him and make us more like Him. God is determined to conform us to the image of Christ through the inevitable afflictions that accompany life. Having, cultivating and maintaining a grateful heart that continues to pulsate with thanksgiving, even in trials, presents a challenge. Thanking God in the trials may be difficult, but when we do, His purposes and presence will illuminate our path and carry us through.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings and love. Lord, I praise You and glorify You. Lord help me to always see Your hand in my life and to be grateful for Your wisdom. Lord give me a grateful heart that continues to pulsate with thanksgiving, even in trials. Lord I ask that through my gratitude in the midst of trials that Your purpose and presence will illuminate my path and carry me through. Thank You God that You are determined to conform me to the image of Christ through any afflictions in my life. Surely the righteous shall give thanks to Your name; the upright shall dwell in Your presence. Psalm 140:13  I give thanks to the Lord of lords! For His mercy endures forever: Psalm 136:3 At midnight I will rise to give thanks to You, because of Your righteous judgments. Psalm 119:62. In Jesus’ mighty name I pray. To Jesus be the power, the glory, the blessings, and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

October 11 Devotion - Your DNA in God - Part 21 - I am the branch of the true vine, a channel of His life

“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. 2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. 3 You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. 4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.

5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

John 15:1-5

Without Jesus we cannot do anything that is spiritually good. Nothing can be accomplished "without Christ": without His Spirit, grace, strength, and presence. Were it possible for believers that are truly in Him, to be removed from Him, they could bring forth no spiritual fruits or fruits of good works, any more than a branch separated from the vine can bring forth grapes; so that all the fruitfulness of a believer is to be ascribed to Christ, and His grace, and not to our own free will and power.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You that I am the branch of the true vine, a channel of Jesus’ life. Lord, thank You that my DNA reveals that I am a child of God, and I was purchased with the precious blood of Christ. Thank You Jesus, I pray that You abide in me, and I in You. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can I, unless I abide in You Jesus. Strengthen me with power through Your Spirit in my inner being, so that I can bear much fruit; for without You Jesus I can do nothing. I pray in the holy name of Jesus. To Jesus be the glory, the majesty, the power, and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
