January 31 Devotion - Be strong and courageous

I will never leave you nor forsake you. Be strong and courageous. 7 Be strong and very courageous. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.

Joshua 1: 6, 7, 9

I believe that every promise, order, direction and encouragement that God said in The Bible still holds truth today. Do you? God is telling us that He will never leave us nor forsake us. So why do we still live in fear? He told Joshua to be strong and courageous and I believe God is telling me also to be strong and courageous. Why did God repeat it three times and the last time He said have I not commanded you to be strong and courageous? God knows our hearts and our frailties and how we doubt. He must have sensed that Joshua, like me, (and maybe you) sometimes don’t internalize it right away. It takes time to travel from the head to the heart, we need to know in our hearts that God will never leave us; the believers and followers of Jesus; nor forsake us. Let us be strong and courageous and not be afraid; nor discouraged, for the LORD our God will be with us wherever He takes us.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, I pray that out of Your glorious riches You strengthen me and spiritually energize me with power through Your Spirit in my innermost being and personality, so that I can obey Your command and be strong and courageous. Help me Lord to believe in my heart and to know that I know that You my God will never leave me nor forsake me. Abba Father, help me to shift my paradigm to Your paradigm so that I can achieve quantum change. Teach me O’ Lord to meditate on Your word and help me God to continue to declare to the world that Christ is my Lord and Saviour and Jesus may continue to dwell in my heart through faith. Thank You Father God for loving me with a deep and everlasting love, thank You for Your abundant blessings in my life, and for the riches of Your grace upon my life. Father in the Holy Name of Jesus I pray to You. To Jesus be the glory, majesty, authority, power and the dominion before all time and now and forevermore. Amen.

January 30 Devotion - We cannot be separated from God’s love for us

Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? 37 No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.
38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. 39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:35-39 New Living Translation (NLT)

God’s love for His children, the ones who have accepted Jesus as their Saviour and Lord over their lives, can never change or be altered by whatever means or circumstances. Nothing we can do can make God love us any more or any less —indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God for us that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You Lord that nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate me from Your love for me God, that is revealed in Christ Jesus my Lord.  Thank You Lord that Jesus bought me with His precious blood, through His redemptive work at The Cross. Thank You Father for Your abundant blessings and Your inseparable, deep, and everlasting love for me. In the Holy Name of Jesus, I pray. To Jesus be the power, the glory, the majesty and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

In Him,

January 29 Devotion - The Divinity of Silence

He who guards his mouth and his tongue guards himself from troubles.
Proverbs 21:23

Here are 20 situations where the Bible recommends that we be silent:

1. Be silent In the heat of anger - (Proverbs 14:17)

2. Be silent When you don't have all the facts - (Proverbs 18:13)

3. Be silent When you haven't verified the story -(Deuteronomy 17:6)

4. Be silent If your words will offend a weaker person - (1 Corinthians 8:11)

5. Be silent When it is time to listen - (Proverbs 13:1)

6. Be silent When you are tempted to make light of holy things - (Ecclesiastics 5:2)

7. Be silent When you are tempted to joke about sin - (Proverbs 14:9)

8. Be silent If you would be ashamed of your words later - (Proverbs 8:8)

9. Be silent If your words would convey the wrong impression - (Proverbs 17:27)

10. Be silent If the issue is none of your business - (Proverbs 14:10)

11. Be silent When you are tempted to tell an outright lie - (Proverbs 4:24)

12. Be silent If your words will damage someone else's reputation - (Proverbs16:27)

13. Be silent If your words will damage a friendship- (Proverbs 16:28)

14. Be silent When you are feeling critical - (James 3:9)

15. Be silent If you can't say it without screaming it - (Proverbs 25:28)

16. Be silent If your words will be a poor reflection of the Lord or your friends and family - (1 Peter 2:21-23)

17. Be silent If you may have to eat your words later - (Proverbs 18:21)

18. Be silent If you have already said it more than one time - (Proverbs 19:13)

19. Be silent When you are tempted to flatter a wicked person - (Proverbs 24:24)

20. Be silent When you are supposed to be working instead - (Proverbs 14:23)

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, please teach me the divinity of silence and help me to stay silent when silence is the best response. Give me wisdom and discernment Lord to follow Your directions and guidance. Lord help me to seek and depend on The Holy Spirit; which You have placed within me; in all circumstances. Teach me Lord and help me to surrender to the direction of The Holy Spirit. Abba Father, thank You for loving me with a deep and everlasting love, thank You for Your abundant blessings and for the riches of Your grace upon my life. To Him who is able to keep me from stumbling and to present me before His glorious presence without fault and with great joy, to the only God our Saviour be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore. Amen. Jude 1:24-25

January 28 Devotion - Our Sufficiency is from God

Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God.
ليس اننا كفاة من انفسنا ان نفتكر شيئا كانه من انفسنا بل كفايتنا من الله
2 Corinthians 3:5

All that we are is a gift from God. Our intelligence, success, abilities, health, etc. are a gift from God lest anyone should boast or become arrogant. We are not perfect yet and need God to constantly help us grow. We need God to do what He alone can do for us, in us, and through us. When we feel less than adequate; our chant should never be ‘I cannot’ but our chant should be: With God’s grace and support, I can.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, my sufficiency is in You and in You alone. All that I am or have are because of the riches of Your grace upon my life. Thank You Father for Your abundant blessings in my life. Lord, help me to always say in confidence and strong faith: I can do all things (that are aligned with God’s will) through Christ who strengthens me.’ Philippians 4:13 I thank You Lord for loving me with a deep and everlasting love. Lord, in the name of the King of kings and Lord of lords, in the Holy Name of Jesus I pray. I declare to the world that Jesus is my Lord and Saviour, to Jesus be the authority, the power, the glory, the majesty, the blessings, and the dominion forever and ever, and unto ages of all ages. Amen.

Jesus loves you,
In Him,
