March 12 Devotion - An infinite treasure

I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

أَمَّا أَنَا فَقَدْ أَتَيْتُ لِتَكُونَ لَهُمْ حَيَاةٌ، بَلْ مِلْءُ الْحَيَاةِ!

 

John 10:10

Many of us believers do not understand the vast riches we already possess in Jesus Christ. He promised us that we shall not merely have a simple bare existence, but we shall have all those superadded things to grant us a blessed and happy life through His infinite treasure.

 

The apostle Peter explained how God gives us these astounding resources: 

Grace and peace [that special sense of spiritual well-being] be multiplied to you in the [true, intimate] knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. 3 For His divine power has bestowed on us [absolutely] everything necessary for [a dynamic spiritual] life and godliness, through true and personal knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.

لِيَكُنْ لَكُمُ الْمَزِيدُ مِنَ النِّعْمَةِ وَالسَّلاَمِ بِفَضْلِ مَعْرِفَةِ اللهِ وَيَسُوعَ رَبِّنَا!

 ³ إِنَّ اللهَ، بِقُدْرَتِهِ الإِلَهِيَّةِ، قَدْ زَوَّدَنَا بِكُلِّ مَا نَحْتَاجُ إِلَيْهِ فِي الْحَيَا ةِ الرُّوحِيَّةِ الْمُتَّصِفَةِ بِالتَّقْوَى. ذَلِكَ أَنَّهُ عَرَّفَنَا بِالْمَسِيحِ الَّذِي دَعَانَا إِلَى مَجْدِهِ وَفَضِيلَتِهِ

 

2 Peter 1:2–3AMP

 

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings. Lord, I embrace the fullness of Your grace today. I choose to live the abundant life You have planned for me through Jesus Christ my Lord and Saviour and in whose name I pray. Glory and power be unto Jesus forever and ever. Amen.
