June 27 Devotion - Cast all your anxiety on Him

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
1 Peter 5:7
God is sovereign; we can cast all our anxiety on Him. He created everything and has absolute control over every aspect of His creation. He is all-powerful, all-knowing, and ever present. He knows absolutely everything about our situation and He cares for us. God loves all believers in His Son Jesus Christ; as Lord and Saviour; with an unconditional, unfathomable, immeasurable love.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings and love. Thank you Father for Your  omniscience—You know all my needs, for  Your omnipotence—You are able to help in all circumstances, for Your  omnipresence—You are involved in all aspects and details of my life. Help me God to totally depend on You, cast my worries and anxiety on You and enjoy Your peace. My heavenly Father, please produce wholeness out of my brokenness; build strength out of my weakness; heal my emotional and physical sickness; and bring reconciliation and love to all my relationships. In Jesus’ name I pray. To Him be the power, the glory and the dominion forever and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.

June 26 Devotion - To live is Christ

For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
Philippians 1:21

What did the Apostle Paul mean when he said:  ‘to die is gain’? this phrase helps us focus on the joy of being with Jesus in paradise. The first part of the phrase ‘to live is Christ’ is essential and should be at the core of every Christian’s life. Every day we should be growing in the knowledge of Christ and advancing to become Christ-like.
To live is Christ means that every believer should give up anything that prevents him/her from having Christ.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings and love. Lord, teach me and help me so that everything I try to be, everything I am, and everything I look forward to being points to Christ. Jesus I want my thoughts and actions to bring glory to You. In Jesus’ name I pray. To Him be the power, the glory and the dominion forever and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.
Jesus loves you,

June 25 Devotion - I take refuge in You, LORD

God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you
Hebrews 13:5

As true believers we have the gracious presence of God with us in our lives, at death, and forever. This comprehensive promise assures us of help from God.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings and love. Thank You that  My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. Psalm 121  Let all who take refuge in You be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread Your protection over them that those who love your name may rejoice in You. Psalm 5:11 Those who know Your name will trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you. Psalm 9:10 Keep me safe, O God, for in You I take refuge. Psalm 16:1 I come to You Father in the name of Your only begotten Son Jesus, to whom be honour and everlasting power. Amen.
Jesus loves you,
In Him,

June 24 Devotion - Surrender your life

Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?
1 Corinthians 3:16

O my soul, you have said to the Lord, “You are my Lord, My goodness is nothing apart from You.
Psalm 16:2

As long as a drowning person thinks he/she can help himself/herself, he/she is dangerous to anyone who tries to help him/her. The tendency of a drowning person is to grab the one trying to aid him/her and take them both down in the process. The correct procedure is to stay just far enough away so that the drowning person  cannot grab you. Then you wait. And when he/she finally gives up, you make your move. At that point the one drowning is pliable. He/she won’t work against you. The drowning person will let you help.

The same principle holds true in our relationship with the Holy Spirit. When we are drowning in the challenges and tribulations of life, unless we give up trying to succeed on our own, we aren’t really in a position to be helped. We will work against Him rather than with Him. We need to surrender to His will.

Because you are a believer in Jesus Christ, God is with you always through the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit. The presence of the Holy Spirit is unconditional. His presence does not depend on your performance. When the depths of despair overwhelm you, He is there and when the joy of the Lord fills you to the rim, He is there.

Knowing that, we should feel great security in the Spirit’s unceasing and unconditional presence. It should also encourage us. Through the Holy Spirit, God is intimately involved with every detail of our existence.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings. Lord if there is anything in my life that is keeping me from surrendering to You and being totally committed to You Lord, then please reveal it and please give me the strength to let go of it. Help me Lord to realize that my goodness is nothing apart from You, and to ask The Holy spirit who dwells in me to think for me, speak for me, and act for me in every single aspect of my life however small or large it is. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
Jesus loves you,
In Him,

June 23 Devotion -Be strengthened with might through Jesus' Spirit

For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, 17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith;
Ephesians 3: 14-17 ﺃﻓﺴﺲ

The Apostle Paul was the one who brought the gospel to many of the Gentiles, and because of this, he felt responsible to pray for their spiritual growth, maturity, and development. He was praying specifically for them to be strengthened with power through God's Spirit.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings. I praise You and glorify you. I pray Lord that Christ may dwell in my heart through faith, and that I can comprehend the fathomless love of Christ. Abba, please grant me according to the riches of Your glory, to be strengthened with might through Your Spirit. Form me Lord so that I may be rooted and grounded in love, and through Your grace Father, fill me up to Your fullness. In Jesus’ name I pray. To Him be the glory and the power and the dominion forever and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.

June 20 Devotion - God's Healing Power

The LORD will strengthen him on his bed of illness; You will sustain him on his sickbed.

Psalm 41:3

Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you.

Isaiah 46:4 ﺃﺷﻌﻴﺎء

We know that Jesus has the healing power and that He performed many miracles when He was on earth. The question many of us sometimes ask is: Does He still heal today? The answer is in the following biblical truth:

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Hebrews 13:8

And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—

John 14:16  ﻳﻮﺣﻨﺎ

Jesus told many of those He healed ‘your faith has healed you’. Jesus is still healing and we have The Holy Spirit within us.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourselves and others:
Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings. Lord, give me and all who are in need enough faith to receive Your healing. Lord, I pray for all those who are sick and afflicted and for their families. God, give them health and perseverance, help them to go through the tough times knowing You are carrying them. As You taught us Jesus, in Your prayers to The Father, Your will be done. Amen.

June 19 Devotion - I will see it when I believe it

By faith we understand that the worlds [during the successive ages] were framed (fashioned, put in order, and equipped for their intended purpose) by the word of God, so that what we see was not made out of things which are visible.

Hebrews 11:3

Amplified Bible (AMP)

This verse tells me that I have to look with my eyes of faith because the provision, healing and miracle I need is already available in God’s realm.
I believe that I was created by Almighty God to live a blessed and fulfilled life.
I believe that many of us may be living far below the level of what God truly intended for us because we do not have enough faith and imagination to see God’s plan and believe how it could happen.

Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

Mark 11:24  ﻣﺮﻗﺲ

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings and love. Lord I praise You and glorify You. LORD, I pray that out of Your glorious riches You strengthen me with power through Your Spirit in my inner being, so that I can look with my eyes of faith and believe that You have a glorious plan for my life and see it materialize because that which I will see was not made out of things which are visible, as Jesus said  “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26 In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
‘Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.’ Ephesians 3:20-21

June 18 Devotion - Our journey of faith with Jesus

Jesus replied, "No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God."

Luke 9:62

When we start our journey of faith by accepting Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, we should never look back. When we are fully committed to Christ, we will be committed to His mission. Jesus was committed to the Father’s mission, even to the point of death on The Cross for the remission of our sins.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings. Lord I praise You for Your work in my life. Jesus I know that You are committed to me Lord, and I know that You have a purpose and a wonderful plan in store for me. Help me to stay obedient and committed to You and Your calling for my life. Give me wisdom and insight into my personal mission that You have chosen for me, and the strength to bring it to fruition. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

June 17 Devotion - God will make me move on my high hills

The Lord God is my strength; He will make my feet like deer’s feet,
And He will make me walk on my high hills.

Habakkuk 3:19

When we encounter a crisis we may:

  1. pretend it does not exist, or
  2. pretend to overcome it with our own self resolve, or
  3. bury it deep within us and put a lid on it, or
  4. go into depression, or
  5. turn it over to Jesus Christ

The ‘V’ answer turns a crisis into an opportunity, an opportunity to trust God so that we may see God at work in our problems. As God strengthens and equips us, we get a renewed hope in God’s active presence in our lives. Our attitude is key in choosing the answer to turn our problems to Jesus.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings. Lord You are my strength, turn my feet into deer’s feet so that I may be swift to turn to You for help. Take me from the valley of despair to the top of my hills of victory. God fill my heart with faith in Your healing powers. Lord, uncover any crisis that I may have pushed deep into my subconscious and I have put a lid on it, and bring it to the surface and help me turn it over to You Jesus to deal with it. Turn all my challenges to an opportunity to feel Your active presence and support in my life. I love You Lord, and I know that as per Your Word all things will work together for my good. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
Jesus loves you

June 16 Devotion - We Are Chosen, Valuable, and Victorious

Even as [in His love] He chose us [actually picked us out for Himself as His own] in Christ before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy (consecrated and set apart for Him) and blameless in His sight, even above reproach, before Him in love.
I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).

Ephesians 1:4, John10:10 Amplified Bible (AMP)

As believers who have accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour; according to the above scripture; God chose us before the world was formed, He knew us.

We are called to a fullness of life which far exceeds the dimensions of our earthly existence, because it consists in sharing the very life of God.

Not only has He chosen you, but He has equipped you with everything you need to live His abundant life. In order to be all that God has called you to be, you have to see yourself as chosen, valuable, and victorious.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings and love. Lord, I praise You and glorify You. Lord, thank You that You have picked me as Your own in Christ even before the foundation of the earth and that through Christ’s blood You consider me blameless in Your sight. Help me Lord to understand my value as it stems from You and to rise up higher and higher into the abundant life of victory and joy You have prepared for me. Father, help me to see myself as chosen, valuable and victorious. Lord, show me Your ways that I may be holy (consecrated and set apart for You) and walk with You in confidence and trust all the days of my life. In the name of my Lord and Saviour Jesus The Christ, the only begotten Son of God, I pray. Amen.

June 13 Devotion - Seek God First

Oh, give thanks to the Lord! Call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples! O my soul, you have said to the Lord, “You are my Lord, My goodness is nothing apart from You.”

Psalm 105:1, Psalm 16:2

When we set our hearts toward the Lord, our faith is strengthened, and we develop the habit of talking to Him throughout the day.

Unfortunately, we try to resolve problems on our own or discuss them with friends and/or relatives instead of immediately turning to God. Imagine receiving a call from a believer and instead of offering him/her your empathy, sympathy and support, you say: “I appreciate you calling me, and would love to help you, however, let me ask you, have you talked first to God about it? Have you prayed?”

As soon as we encounter any kind of problem/challenge/opportunity, let us immediately turn to God and request: Abba Father, guide me in my thoughts, actions, and words.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings. I call upon Your name. Teach me to always seek Your wisdom, guidance and support. Help me to always first ask The Holy Spirit who dwells in me to take over. O my soul, say to the Lord, “You are my Lord, My goodness is nothing apart from You.” Father, create opportunities for me to make Your deeds and blessings known among people. In Jesus’ name I pray. To Him be the power, the glory and the dominion forever and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.

June 12 Devotion - Living Water

Jesus had to go through Samaria. Jesus sat down by Jacob’s well in a town called Sychar as He was thirsty. His disciples had gone into the town to buy food. A Samaritan woman came to draw water and Jesus spoke to her even though at the time Jews did not associate with Samaritans. He asked her for a drink of water. She was astonished that Jesus spoke to her and Jesus responded by saying:

“If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.”

11 “Sir,” the woman said, “you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water? 12 Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did also his sons and his livestock?”

Jesus answered,

“Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, 14 but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

The Samaritan woman looked at the natural possibilities. How can this man give me water when he does not even have any utensil to put water in or method to draw water from the well.

Unfortunately we are still doing the same today. We look at the natural even though we know Jesus. The Samaritan woman did not know who Jesus was when she asked the question. But we know who He is but still fall into the same trap.  We know that God can do miracles but many times we do not believe Him when He says He will do great things in our lives.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings. Lord I do not want to look at the natural. I want to look at the supernatural, the realm You operate in. Help me Lord to focus on You, not on my circumstances. Increase my faith O’Lord and show me Your ways. Help me to believe beyond any doubt of Your promises. Jesus  give me Your water and make it become in me a spring of water welling up to eternal life. Jesus help to become more and more Christ like on a daily basis. In Your Holy Name Jesus I pray. To You be the power, the glory, the majesty, the blessings, and the dominion forever and ever, Amen.
Jesus loves you.
In Him,
Wagdi Henein

June 11 Devotion - Achieving Your Life Message

But now indeed there are many members, yet one body. 21 And the eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you”; nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.” 22 No, much rather, those members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary. 23 And those members of the body which we think to be less honorable, on these we bestow greater honor; and our unpresentable parts have greater modesty,

I Corinthians 12:12-23

God builds a life message in many different ways. Each one of us has a different message. Though you may gain many insightful lessons from those who are strong in their faith, your life is unique and special before God. He has a message for you that no one else can share.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings. Lord, give me a love for Your Word. Teach me to study Your Word and to keep it. You are my portion, O Lord; help me to develop spiritually. Guide me God in meditation and worship. Give me the discipline and determination to spend time alone with Jesus. Give me victory O’Lord over my thoughts and the enemy to my soul and keep me on course. I trust that soon You will clearly reveal Your message for my life in a very obvious way and guide me to fulfill it. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
