September 22 Devotion - PRAYER without ceasing

For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.
من اجل ذلك نحن ايضا منذ يوم سمعنا لم نزل مصلّين وطالبين لاجلكم ان تمتلئوا من معرفة مشيئته في كل حكمة وفهم روحي
Colossians 1:9

Tonight I watched a Christian movie called the “War Room” currently in theatres which concentrates on the importance of prayer in the Christian’s life, and how we need to wear the armour of God against the devil, and how we need to pray for each other, love each other and have grace for others as God has grace for us. It emphasizes how we should have a place in our homes dedicated to prayer and fight our battles through prayer and pray without ceasing.
Jesus taught us:
But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
Mathew 6:6
I suggest you watch this movie and invite anyone whom you feel has drifted from prayer or who needs to learn the importance and power of prayer. You can click on the trailer below to get an idea about the movie and the power of praying to Jesus.

‘You have to plead with God then you have to get out of the way and let Him do it. You need to do your fighting in prayer’

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings and Your deep, inseparable and everlasting love. Lord, teach me to pray without ceasing and teach me to pray Christ-centred prayers. God grant me the confidence and trust to surrender to You and get out of Your way and follow You. Lead me to pray for ways that I can increase Your kingdom God and fill me with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding for the right things like patience, wisdom and strength to serve You, glorify You and praise You and Your Son Jesus Christ, my Lord and Saviour, and in whose Holy Name I pray. Amen.
 Jesus loves you,
In Him,
Wagdi Henein
