October 20 Devotion - Country Leadership under God (Canada has a new Prime Minister)

Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice…..And disobedience is as [serious as] false religion and idolatry. If you reject the word of the Lord, He will also reject you as leader.

1 Samuel 15:22-23

And now, Canada, what does the Lord your God require from you, but to fear [and worship] the Lord your God [with awe-filled reverence and profound respect], to walk [that is, to live each and every day] in all His ways and to love Him, and to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul [your choices, your thoughts, your whole being], 13 and to keep the commandments of the Lord and His statutes.

Deuteronomy 10:12-13Amplified Bible (AMP)

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for Canada and the new leader of Canada:
Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings and Your deep, everlasting and inseparable love.
I pray that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for leaders and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. 1 Timothy 2:1-15
For the true love of God is this: that we habitually keep His commandments and remain focused on His precepts. For His precepts are not difficult to obey. 1 John 5:3
I pray that you put away all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander. Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation— if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is good. As you come to Him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious, you yourself like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 2:1-25.
Jesus, in Your Holy name I pray. To Jesus be the glory, the majesty, the power and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Jesus loves you,
In Him,
Wagdi Henein
