August 31 Devotion - Never Give Up

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

فَلاَ نَفْشَلْ فِي عَمَلِ الْخَيْرِ لأَنَّنَا سَنَحْصُدُ فِي وَقْتِهِ إِنْ كُنَّا لاَ نَكِلُّ.

Galatians 6:9

We all have God-given dreams and desires. Sometimes it seems to take longer to accomplish our goals than we originally thought, or things do not work out at all.

It's easy to lose enthusiasm and end up just settling where we are. But God doesn't want us to settle, He wants to take us higher. But many times, we miss out on God's best simply because we give up too soon. Sometimes we do not realize how close we are to victory.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You for Your deep and everlasting love for me, Your abundant blessings, and for the riches of Your grace upon my life. God, help me not to give up just because things seem hard. Help me to stay on course in faith; and see my situation turn around. God I know You are on my side and You will help fulfil every desire You have placed on my heart. Help me Lord to continue doing good, and never give up trusting You in all faith that I will reap the harvest You have chosen for me, in Your timing. Help me Lord to always say, feel and be trustful in that “I can do all things through Jesus Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13 I pray in Jesus' name, to Him be the power, the glory and the dominion forever and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.

August 30 Devotion - A Change of Plans

For You are my rock and my fortress; Therefore, for Your name’s sake, Lead me and guide me.

لأَنَّ صَخْرَتِي وَمَعْقِلِي أَنْتَ. مِنْ أَجْلِ اسْمِكَ تَهْدِينِي وَتَقُودُنِي.

Psalm 31:3

I believe, we need to be open to a change in plans on our lives if we sense God moving us in another direction and we should follow God’s Planning System (GPS) for He will lead us and guide us, and all we need to do is just trust Him because He is our rock on which we stand and He protects us in His fortress. We connect to Him through our prayers and with Him guiding us; we never need to feel lost.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You for Your deep and everlasting love of me, Your abundant blessings in my life, and for the riches of Your grace upon my life. Lord, I praise You, I glorify You and I rejoice in You. Lord, please help me become flexible and obedient. I sometimes feel confused between what I desire and what You may want, as I sense that You may be guiding me to move in another direction. Help me to stay connected to You, to hear Your voice and to know for sure Your plan for me and the direction You want me to follow. I need Your wisdom God, please sort out the truth in my mind and heart and lead me and guide me to do Your will for You are my rock and my fortress. Jesus, in Your Holy name I pray. To Jesus be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

August 28 Devotion - Renew my Strength

They who wait upon the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles.

 Isaiah 40:31

وَأَمَّا مُنْتَظِرُو الرَّبِّ فَيُجَدِّدُونَ قُوَّةً. يَرْفَعُونَ أَجْنِحَةً كَالنُّسُورِ

We need to ask for the aid and direction of the Holy Spirit to succeed in our spiritual growth, His service, our daily walk with Him, and in our daily lives on earth. The waiting in the above verse is meant to be the kind of waiting as attending to. We need to attend to the Lord in the midst of our weakness. We need to worship Him, listen to His guiding Holy Spirit, be obedient to Him and find His strength in our love for Him.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You that Your deep steadfast love for me endures forever, thank You for Your abundant blessings in my life, and for the riches of Your grace upon my life. Lord, renew my strength and give me the ability to always attend to You, fill me to abundance with Your Holy Spirit. Help me to soar like an eagle over my disappointments and everything that is broken in my life. God I pray to You in the name of Your precious Son; my Redeemer and Saviour; the Lord of my life, Jesus Christ. To Jesus be the power, the glory, the majesty, the blessings, and the dominion before all time and now and forever. Amen.
