June 30 Devotion- Ordered Steps

The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD, And He delights in his way.

Psalm 37:23

We all need God’s support; even the most powerful must be supported by the Lord, without His support their strength and courage will be of no avail.

When we seek God and surrender to Jesus as our Lord and Saviour; our steps are established by The LORD, and we will delight in His choice for our lives.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, please establish and guide my steps. Help me to stay in faith and put You first in my life. I trust that You are at work in my life even during times when I don't understand it. I am confident that Your guidance has placed me where I am supposed to be right now. Give me the strength and courage to do what is right in Your sight to Your delight. Thank You that through Your grace and mercy You care so much about every detail of my life. Father God, I praise You, glorify You and lift You up on high. I thank You and adore You. In the name of the King of kings and Lord of lords, in the Holy Name of Jesus I pray. I declare Jesus as my Lord and Saviour, to Him be the power, the glory, the majesty, the blessings, and the dominion forever and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.

In Him,

June 30 Devotion - The Lord is Good

The Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations.

Psalm 100:5

Because God is good, He only gives us what is best for us. Sometimes He says no and sometimes He gives us beyond our request and imagination, sometimes different than what we asked for, sometimes at a different timing but always what is best for us. I realize that God loves us with affection beyond imagination, and He knows us best because He fashioned every intricate fiber of our being.

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb.

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

Psalm 139:13–14

It makes total sense, then, that God knows exactly what each one of us needs and what blessings would benefit us the most.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, I thank You because I have been so amazingly and miraculously made. Lord, teach me to surrender totally to You and to realize that You are always looking out after me and doing what is best for me. Thank You Father God that Your deep steadfast love for me endures forever, thank You for Your abundant blessings in my life, and for the riches of Your grace upon my life. Lord, thank You that Your mercies are everlasting in my life. Father God, I praise You, revere You, worship You, I stand in awe of You, and glorify Your Holy Name. I declare to the world that Christ is my Lord and Saviour and in His name I pray. To Jesus be the power, the glory, the majesty, and the dominion before all time, now, and forevermore. Amen.

June 27 Devotion - God's Healing Power

This devotion is dedicated to my dearest friend Gindi Maassarany and to all those who need healing.

The LORD will strengthen him on his bed of illness; You will sustain him on his sickbed.

Psalm 41:3

Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you.

Isaiah 46:4 ﺃﺷﻌﻴﺎء

We know that Jesus has the healing power and that He performed many miracles when He was on earth. The question many of us sometimes ask is: Does He still heal today? The answer is in the following biblical truth:

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Hebrews 13:8

And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever

John 14:16  ﻳﻮﺣﻨﺎ

Jesus told many of those He healed ‘your faith has healed you’. Jesus is still healing and we have The Holy Spirit within us.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourselves and others:

Abba Father, please grant me out of the riches of Your glory, to be strengthened and spiritually energized with power through Your Spirit in my inner self, indwelling my innermost being and personality so that Christ may dwell in my heart through faith. Lord, give me and all who are in need enough faith to receive Your healing. Lord, I pray for all those who are sick and afflicted and for their families. God, give them health and perseverance, help them to go through the tough times knowing You are carrying them. As You taught us Jesus, in Your prayers to The Father, Your will be done. Thank You God for Your deep, everlasting, and inseparable love and Your abundant blessings. Father God, I pray to You in the name of Your precious Son, my Redeemer, Lord, and Saviour Jesus Christ. To Jesus be the glory, the power, the dominion, the majesty, and the blessings forever and ever. Amen.

Jesus loves you,

In Him,

June 24 Devotion - Attitude

Let this same attitude and purpose and [humble] mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus: [Let Him be your example in humility:]

Philippians 2:5 Amplified Bible (AMP)

The Bible says that faith pleases God. An attitude of gratitude is pleasing to God and helps to build us up. When I look at all we had prior to the Covid-19 pandemic and I (maybe even you) took for granted and only realized their presence when I lost them, makes me realize that I should not take for granted all the things that we still have and be grateful for them. Now that life is coming back to ‘normal’ slowly, I must keep the lesson to be grateful for everything. An optimistic attitude is not a luxury; it is a necessity. The way we look at life will determine how we feel, how we perform and how well we get along with other people. Prayer and positive affirmations can help us overpower negativism. We need to keep believing in face of all types of adversity, we need to keep an attitude of faith and expectancy because ‘attitude determines altitude’. It’s been said that a negative attitude is like a flat tire, we can’t go anywhere unless we change it.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, please give me Your divine perspective and the right positive and humble attitude. Keep me from discouragement, worry, and self-sufficiency. I know that your promises are true and that You will change all my circumstances to work for the good. Thank You Father God for Your abundant blessings and love. I praise You and glorify You in Jesus’ name. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21

In Him,

June 23 Devotion - Jesus Sets Boundaries

Is it okay to set boundaries in relationships? Is it healthy to set boundaries in relationships? Did Jesus set boundaries in dealing with people? The answer to these three questions is a definite YES.

Many health professionals insist that one of the most vital components to creating a healthy and fulfilling relationship is to set clear and agreed to boundaries in relationships.  In simple terms, boundaries are the thing that keeps us separate from the other person.  The boundaries are what set the place between where you end, and the other person begins.

Many people are sensitive-hearted and prone to take on other people’s problems. If they don’t have clear personal boundaries and limits, they get weighed down and walked on. Eventually they start having problems with anger, resentment, stress overload, or burn out. They just can’t continue being so helpful and caring all the time!

Jesus had personal needs that he put priority on — sometimes even over the needs of other people — and he did so without feeling guilty. Primarily his personal soul care had to do with separating himself from people to be alone with God.

Jesus said no to inappropriate behaviour: When the demands on Him from the crowd crossed His needs to be with His Father, He withdrew from the crowds…

But the news about Him was dispersion farther, and large crowds kept gathering to hear Him and to be healed of their illnesses. 16 But Jesus Himself would often slip away to the wilderness and pray [in seclusion].

Luke 5:15-16

Jesus said no to Peter and the disciples who had an inappropriate agenda for Jesus as a political king or military warrior rather than a sacrificial lamb.

But Jesus turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to Me; for you are not setting your mind on things of God, but on things of man.”

 Matthew 16:23

There are many more examples of Jesus setting boundaries in The Bible and we need to learn that it is Christian to set boundaries and protect ourselves and our emotions, and teach others (children, friends, coworkers, loved ones, parents) their boundaries so as to set the place between where you end, and the other person begins.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself

Abba Father, I pray that out of Your glorious riches You strengthen me with power through Your Spirit in my inner being, so that I can learn to set boundaries in my life and in my relationships with others. Help me to be prepared through the guidance of The Holy Spirit to answer all accusations or attempts to make me feel guilty because I am setting healthy boundaries. Teach me to be firm but courteous and respectful in my answers, explaining to others that setting boundaries is a win for them as well and we can live in a win-win relationship with respect. Help me Lord to push back those who have by force pushed on my boundary line during the years; without allowing my emotions to be in play; but to let The Holy Spirit think for me and speak through me. Thank You God for Your abundant blessings and Your unfailing, deep, everlasting, and inseparable love for me. Father God, I pray to You in the name of Your precious Son, my Redeemer, Lord, and Saviour Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, the power, the dominion, the majesty, and the blessings forever and ever. Amen.

June 21 Devotion - Wise Relationships

My prayer for you is that you will overflow more and more with love for others, and at the same time keep on growing in spiritual knowledge and insight, 10 for I want you always to see clearly the difference between right and wrong, and to be inwardly clean, no one being able to criticize you from now until our Lord returns. 11 May you always be doing those good, kind things that show you are a child of God, for this will bring much praise and glory to the Lord.

Philippians 1:9-11

Our upbringing and past experiences can influence/hinder our ability to build trusting relationships with others. I believe that we should be building relationships that are based on genuine trust, devotion, and loyalty. As believers, we have a mutual interest in our faith in Jesus Christ, and our relationship with Jesus should form the foundation of all our relationships.

Some people; unfortunately, even amongst ‘Christians’; base their relationships on personal ambition, selfishness and/or need for control. When we depend on another person for our happiness and security or take advantage of someone for our own personal gain, we are not building wise, lasting relationships nor are we acting in a Christian manner.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself and others:

Abba Father, I pray that out of Your glorious riches You strengthen me with power through Your Spirit in my inner being, so that I may be a true friend who comes alongside others without any selfish motives. Help me Lord to strengthen others as You have strengthened me, and to be able to give others wise advice that stems from You Lord. I pray that my love for my fellow believers may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that I may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.  I thank You Father God for Your deep and everlasting love for me and Your abundant blessings and for the riches of Your grace in my life. In Your name Jesus, my Lord and Saviour, I pray. To Jesus be the glory, the power, the dominion, the majesty, and the blessings forever and ever. Amen.

June 20 Devotion - The inseparable love of God

Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. 37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

1 John 3:1, Romans 8:37-39

Sometimes many believers cannot feel God’s love especially those whose dominant love language is haptic communication (sense of touch) see “The 5 love languages” by Gary Chapman. There are times when I did not feel God’s love. No matter what we feel or what happens, God does exist, and He deeply loves us. No matter how difficult the circumstances and tribulations we face, no matter what happens, we can never be separated from God's love.

God hasn't forgotten you. And even though it might not feel like it, He is still in control, holding you in the palm of His hand

Even there Your hand will lead me,
And Your right hand will take hold of me.

Psalm 139:10

God has a plan for you. So, even in the middle of all your heartbreak, tell God, "I'm going to hold on and wait for you to show me Your love, no matter what happens."

We need to be able to say what David said in Psalm 27:14, "Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord."

If we do that, we will come out of all the pain and be much stronger. Let us repeat what Job said right after he voiced his doubts: "But [God] knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold"

Job 23:10

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank you for Your abundant blessings. God, what a wonderful act of grace; that through accepting the atoning death of Jesus Christ in my place and accepting Jesus as Lord over my life; I am now a child of God. Thank You God that absolutely nothing can separate me from Your love and salvation, which is in Christ Jesus my Lord. Abba Father, thank You for Your deep, everlasting, and inseparable love for me. For great is Your lovingkindness and graciousness toward me. Psalm 86:13 Thank You God, that in all tribulations I am more than a conqueror through Him who loved me. Even there Your hand will lead me, and Your right hand will take hold of me. Father God, I rejoice in Your grace and faithfulness. I praise You, glorify You, and lift You up on high. God, I pray to You in the name of Your precious Son, my Redeemer, Lord, and Saviour Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, the power, the dominion, the majesty, and the blessings before all time, now, and forevermore. Amen.

June 17 Devotion - Feeling unloved - Feelings versus Truth

Do you ever feel unloved? Well, you are not alone. So how does God address this feeling? By pointing out the truth and ‘the truth will set us free’.

The best way to combat this emotion is to return to The Word of God and see what He says about us or to us.

Whenever we feel unloved, let us remember that God loves us so much that He sent His only Son to die in our place and grant us everlasting life.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

John 3:16

What Jesus did for us by dying in our place is the ultimate type of love, for Jesus said:

Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.

John 15:13

Let us remember that Jesus prayed for us and asked God to sanctify us by His truth. Truth about us is what is important not our feelings.

Sanctify them in the truth [set them apart for Your purposes, make them holy]; Your word is truth.

John 17:17

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father,  whenever I feel unloved, remind me of Your love, and Your promises. Sanctify me by Your truth Father and ‘cut’ this feeling of being unloved and ‘paste’ Your love for me deep into my heart and my spirit. Through the truth that Jesus loves me so much that he considers me His friend and He died in my place I will never ever feel unloved again. Thank You Father God for Your unfailing, inseparable, deep and everlasting love for me and Your abundant blessings in my life and for the riches of Your grace upon my life. In Jesus’ mighty name I pray. To Jesus be the power, the glory, and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

June 16 Devotion - We Are Chosen, Valuable, and Victorious

Even as [in His love] He chose us [actually picked us out for Himself as His own] in Christ before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy (consecrated and set apart for Him) and blameless in His sight, even above reproach, before Him in love.

I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).

Ephesians 1:4, John10:10 Amplified Bible (AMP)

As believers who have accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour; according to the above scripture; God chose us before the world was formed, He knew us.

We are called to a fullness of life which far exceeds the dimensions of our earthly existence, because it consists in sharing the very life of God.

Not only has He chosen you, but He has equipped you with everything you need to live His abundant life. To be all that God has called you to be, you have to see yourself as chosen, valuable, and victorious.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You for picking me as Your own in Christ even before the foundation of the earth and that through Christ’s blood You consider me blameless in Your sight. Help me Lord to understand my value as it stems from You and to rise higher and higher into the abundant life of victory and joy You have prepared for me. Father, help me to see myself as chosen, valuable and victorious. Lord, show me Your ways that I may be holy (consecrated and set apart for You) and walk with You in confidence and trust all the days of my life. Thank You Father God for Your abundant blessings and love. Lord, I praise You and glorify You. In the name of my Lord and Saviour Jesus The Christ, the only begotten Son of God, I pray. Amen.

Jesus loves you,

In Him,

June 15 Devotion - Wisdom

Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

Ephesians 5:17, James 1:5

What does wisdom mean to you?

Wisdom means to me:

  • That I seek God’s will for my life and follow His plan
  • That I always act according to the spirit of the Biblical Commandments
  • That I understand the consequences of my actions and words before I act or speak
  • To have the knowledge and understanding to recognize the right course of action & to have the will & courage to follow it.

God invites us to pray for wisdom, to request it. Why then do so many Christians sometimes act in an unwise manner? Maybe it is because they never prayed and requested wisdom, maybe it is because they are unaware that they lack wisdom or maybe because they developed a habit of acting out based on emotions. We all need the guidance and conviction of The Holy Spirit to always act wisely.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, please help me to clearly see Your plan and will for my life. Holy Spirit, I need Your wisdom to guide all my actions. Lord, help me to listen to the direction of The Holy Spirit within me. Strengthen my faith to clearly realize that You are my rock in whom I take refuge. You are my salvation and my stronghold. Thank You Lord for Your abundant blessings and Your deep, everlasting and inseparable love for me. In the Holy Name of Jesus, I pray. I declare Jesus as my Lord and Saviour, to Him be the power, the glory, the majesty, the blessings, and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Jesus loves you,

In Him,

June 9 Devotion - The Foundation of Peace

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:7

Did you ever find yourself not at peace with God? Although many may frown at this question, I admit there have been times when I have not been at peace with God. There are some questions to which I do not know the answers to, at the present time, and sometimes keeps me from being at peace with God. I need to realize that He may or may not reveal His answers to me, and even if He does, I may not understand because:

"My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts," says the LORD. "And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine”.

Isaiah 55:8

Lasting peace cannot be attained through our own efforts, but rather through Christ in us. The peace that comes from Him is eternal. Our bond with Him is the foundation upon which real peace is built. I believe that in order to experience the peace of God we need first to be at peace with God.

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

«أخبَرتُكُمْ بِهَذا لِكَي يَكُونَ لَكُمْ سَلامٌ مِنْ خِلالِي. سَتُواجِهُونَ ضِيْقاً فِي العالَمِ، لَكِنْ تَشَجَّعُوا فَأنا قَدِ انتَصَرتُ عَلَى العالَمِ.»

John 16:33

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings and Your deep, everlasting, and inseparable love for me. Lord, I want to experience Your true peace. Thank You Jesus that You have overcome the world. I ask You God to expose anything within me that may be preventing me from being at peace with You and heal it so that I can receive the true and everlasting peace that only You can give. Thank You God that Your peace, which transcends all understanding, will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Thank You Lord that through the atoning blood of Jesus I am without spot and blameless in Your eyes. Father I rejoice in Your grace and faithfulness. I praise You, glorify You, and lift You up on high. I pray in the name of The Prince of Peace Jesus Christ, to Jesus be the glory, the power, the dominion, the majesty, and the blessings before all time, now, and forever. Amen.

In Him,

June 8 Devotion - Seek God First

Oh, give thanks to the Lord! Call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples! O my soul, you have said to the Lord, “You are my Lord, My goodness is nothing apart from You.”

Psalm 105:1, Psalm 16:2

When we set our hearts toward the Lord, our faith is strengthened, and we develop the habit of talking to Him throughout the day. Unfortunately, we try to resolve problems on our own or discuss them with friends and/or relatives instead of immediately turning first to God. Imagine calling a believer and instead of offering you empathy, sympathy and support, he/she says, “I appreciate you calling me, and would love to help you, however, have you talked first to God about it? Have you prayed?”

Although I have known that I should go to God first, I still fall in the trap of trying to resolve it on my own or talk to others first. It needs constant training.

When you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”

 Mathew 6: 6

At all times and especially as soon as we encounter any kind of problem/challenge let us immediately turn to God and request: Abba Father, guide me in my feelings, thoughts, actions, and words.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, I call upon Your name, guide me in my feelings, thoughts, actions, and words. Teach me to always seek Your wisdom, guidance and support. Help me to always first ask The Holy Spirit who dwells in me to take over. O my soul, say to the Lord, “You are my Lord, my goodness is nothing apart from You.” Father, create opportunities for me to make Your deeds and blessings known among people. Thank You LORD for Your unfailing, inseparable, deep and everlasting love for me, Your abundant blessings in my life, and for the riches of Your grace upon my life. Father God, I praise You, revere You, worship You, I stand in awe of You, and glorify Your Holy Name. I proclaim to the world that Jesus is my Lord and Saviour. Now to Him who is able to carry out His purpose and do infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Ephesians 3:20-21 AMP Amen.

Jesus loves you,

In Him,
