Matthew 16:
13-17
When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi,
he asked his disciples, “Who do people say the Son of
Man is?”
14 They replied, “Some say John the
Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”
15 “But what about you?” he asked.
“Who do you say I am?”
16 Simon Peter answered, “You are
the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”
17 Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not
revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven.
Many
people think that Jesus was: A Prophet, a good teacher, a wise man who had
powers. We hear rumblings from ‘The New Age’ followers that he was a man who
managed to get in touch with his inner resources and was able to perform
miracles because of that.
Jesus for me is:
- The way, the truth, and the life. He is the only way to
The Father God, John 14:6
- The light of the world, The Son of God, Luke 22:70
- He has all authority in heaven and on earth, Mathew 28:18
- He had a sinless life, John
8:46
- Jesus Christ has the power to forgive sins and provide
everlasting life John 11:25, Luke 5:20-21
- He is coming back Matthew
24:27-30
- He is my Saviour and Lord over my Life
So the
question begging an answer from you is: Who is Jesus to you?
I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, I pray that out of Your glorious
riches You strengthen me and spiritually energize me with power through Your
Spirit in my innermost being and personality, so that I can always follow Jesus
and be obedient to His teachings and be able to forgive, to love those who I
find are hard to love, to submit to Your authority over my life, to get rid of
all dissention, and anything that is displeasing to The Holy Spirit. Lord I
pray that everyone will be able to know Jesus in the way You know Him God. Thank You Lord for Your abundant blessings and Your
deep, inseparable and everlasting love. Lord I praise You, glorify You and lift
You up on high. Father, I pray to You in the name of Jesus Christ my Lord and
Saviour, to whom be honour, glory, majesty, authority, and power forever and
ever. Amen.
Jesus loves you,
In Him,
Wagdi Henein
