Come
to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29
Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart,
and you will find rest for your souls. 30 for My yoke is easy and My
burden is light.”
Matthew
11:27–30
In light of the events in the last two days in Egypt
where there is extreme unrest and a chance of a civil war in a country where
Christians have been and still are persecuted by extremists; there is a
tremendous need of prayer and the intervention of The Holy Spirit. This applies
to every place and country where Christians are persecuted.
Lord Your people in Egypt feel tired and heavy laden
and their life appears these days to be like a boat that is tossing in the
middle of a storm. Lord, I believe You sometimes want believers to experience
the storm, so that we may build our trust that You will guide us through it,
and we may grow in You. We trust that Jesus
will come walking on the water through the storm, like He came to save His
disciples.
I invite you to repeat the following prayer for Egypt:
Abba
Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings. Lord, through Your Word and the guidance of The Holy Spirit help Egypt to learn
from Jesus and to take the Yoke Jesus offers. Jesus, come to Egypt like You
came to Your disciples walking on the water through the storm and redeem and
help Egypt to sail through the storm Jesus and strengthen believers
spiritually, emotionally and physically and give them rest. Jesus, I trust and
pray in Your Holy name. To Him be the power, the glory and the dominion
forever and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.
