When
Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition
a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?”
John 5:6
Jesus’ question was probably a strange one, since
everyone would want to be made well, but Jesus wanted the sick man to learn to
surrender to God.
I find that surrendering is not an easy process.
Because it involves self-will, it can be painful. However, it is essential to
spiritual growth, internal peace, healing,
and contentment.
God wants us to know Him on an intimate level. But
this rarely happens when we are caught up in the distractions of the world.
Examine me, O Lord, and prove me;
Try my mind and my heart."
Try my mind and my heart."
Psalm 26:2
Abba
Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings and love. Heavenly Father, please reveal
to me anything that is keeping me from being totally surrendered to You, then
give me the strength to let go of it. I know that You will never leave me nor
forsake me. I want to be have Your peace and I want to be made well. I come
to You Father in the name of Your only begotten Son Jesus, to whom be honour and glory
forever and ever. Amen.
O my soul, you have said to the Lord, “You are my Lord,My goodness is nothing apart from You.” Psalm 16:2
Jesus loves you
In Him,Wagdi Henein
