November 1 Devotion - Standing Firm

Therefore, put on the complete armor of God, so that you will be able to [successfully] resist and stand your ground in the evil day [of danger], and having done everything [that the crisis demands], to stand firm [in your place, fully prepared, immovable, victorious].

Ephesians 6:13 (Amplified Bible)

When you're determined to fulfill your God-given destiny, and you're taking steps to improve your life or make a difference in your family or community, don't be surprised if you face opposition. The enemy will do whatever he can to keep you from moving forward.
St. Paul said:
because a wide door for effective service has opened to me [in Ephesus, a very promising opportunity], and there are many adversaries.
1 Corinthians 16:9
If you're facing opposition today, keep standing, keep believing, and keep hoping. Keep fighting the good fight of faith because:
Little children (believers, dear ones), you are of God and you belong to Him and have [already] overcome them [the agents of the antichrist]; because He who is in you is greater than he (Satan) who is in the world [of sinful mankind].
1 John 4:4

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for Your deep and everlasting love for me, Your abundant blessings, and for the riches of Your grace upon my life. Heavenly Father, I want to live a Holy life. I realize I cannot do it by myself. I cannot change myself. But You can. I’m depending on Your Holy Spirit to make me a partaker of Your divine, holy nature. Lord, thank You for Your promise of victory. Give me Your strength today to take my eyes off my challenges and focus on You. Thank You for equipping me with Your armour so that I can stand firm and strong in You. Let this message sink deep into my soul God, that I am from You and that I have already overcome because The Holy Spirit that is in me is greater than the opposition in the world. I declare Jesus as my Lord and Saviour, to Him be the power, the glory, the majesty, the blessings, and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

October 31 Devotion - When God Seems distant Guess Who Moved?

Do not keep silent, O God! Do not hold Your peace, And do not be still, O God!
Show me Your ways, O Lord; Teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me,
For You are the God of my salvation; On You I wait all the day.
Psalm 83:1; Psalm 25:4–5

When we are not being obedient to God’s commandments we sometimes think God is silent and is not responding to prayer. We think He has moved away, yet it is us who moved away because we broke our fellowship with God and quenched The Holy Spirit within us. We need to come back to God in repentance and ask Him to show us His ways and teach us His paths and learn to wait upon The Lord. God often takes us places we could never dream of going on our own. His vision is far beyond ours. His might and power open doors for us we thought were permanently closed.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for Your deep and everlasting love for me, Your abundant blessings, and for the riches of Your grace upon my life. Lord, help me to seek Your kingdom and don’t let me walk in my own way. Take away my selfish desires and replace them with Your healthy dreams and goals. Lord, please show me Your plan and desires for me, and help me to wait for Your way to be revealed to me. I believe that the blessings I will receive will fill my heart with boundless joy. Help me to trust in Your vision for me Lord; which is better than mine by quantum leaps; and help me to trust that Your might and power will open doors for me that I thought were permanently closed and doors that I never knew existed. Lord, I praise You, I glorify You and I rejoice in You. In the name of the King of kings and Lord of lords, in the Holy Name of Jesus I pray. I declare Jesus as my Lord and Saviour, to Him be the power, the glory, the majesty, the blessings, and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Jesus loves you,
In Him,

October 28 Devotion - Give and Give Again

If anyone wants to sue you and take away your tunic, let him have your cloak also. 41 And whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two. 42 Give to him who asks you, and from him who wants to borrow from you do not turn away.
Matthew 5:40-42

How can we live The Christian Life when the bar is as high as Jesus puts it? On our own we cannot because we cannot meet the bar that Jesus has set. In my opinion these verses are there to teach us three things:

·     One lesson is: that is the nature of God. That is how He loves and treats us.

·     The second is to show us that on our own we cannot but through The Holy Spirit we can.

·     The third is that we can never do enough works to enter heaven, we need the Grace of God demonstrated by the justification we experience through the death of Jesus in our place.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for Your deep and everlasting love for me, Your abundant blessings, and for the riches of Your grace upon my life. LORD, I pray that out of Your glorious riches You strengthen me with power through Your Spirit in my inner being, so that I can go the extra mile and to be generous toward others.
God, I acknowledge my constant and absolute dependence on You for in You Lord I live and move and have my being. Acts 17:28 Thank You Jesus that you sympathize with my weaknesses and that You are my high priest to whom I take my needs, and through You Jesus I can come boldly to God’s throne of grace. God I praise You, glorify You and lift You up on high. Those who know Your name will trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you. Psalm 9:10. In Jesus’ mighty name I pray. To Him be the power, the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

October 27 Devotion - Depend Totally on God

For in Him we live and move and have our being
Acts 17:28
We have a constant and absolute dependence on God and He is continually sustaining us.
Our absolute dependence on God and in God is such that we owe to Him the ability to perform even the slightest motion. We owe to Him our continued and prolonged existence.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for Your deep and everlasting love for me, Your abundant blessings, and for the riches of Your grace upon my life. Lord, thank You for Your gifts from the lowest pulsation of life to the highest powers of action and of continued existence to the pinnacle of salvation. God, I acknowledge my constant and absolute dependence on You for in You Lord I live and move and have my being. God I praise You, glorify You, and lift You up on high. I declare Jesus as my Lord and Saviour and I pray in His Holy Name. To Him be the power, the glory, the majesty, the blessings, and the dominion forever and ever, Amen.

Jesus loves you,
In Him,
