Jehovah Tsidkenu: “The Lord our Righteousness.” A simple definition of righteousness is 'doing that which is right'. This name speaks of the fact that God will always do that which is right…because He is righteous!

Now this is His name by which He will be called: THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS

Jeremiah 23:6

He is the Rock, His work is perfect; For all His ways are justice,

A God of truth and without injustice; Righteous and upright is He.

Deuteronomy 32:4

Jehovah is the Source of Righteousness, Man has no righteousness, since we are unrighteous, and we need pardon from God. Jesus Is Our Jehovah-Tsidkenu, what we could not do Jesus the perfectly righteous one did for us. It is God alone who provides righteousness to man, in the person of His Son, Jesus Christ, who became sin for us “that we might become the Righteousness of God in Him”.

For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us,

that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

2 Corinthians 5:21

For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners,

so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.

Romans 5:19

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, Adonai, thank You for Your abundant blessings in my life and for Your inseparable, unfailing, deep and everlasting love for me. God, what a wonderful name that You have used to describe Yourself, You are Jehovah-Tsidkenu. Thank You Jehovah-Tsidkenu that You have provided for my acceptance before You through the cleansing of the blood of The Lamb. Thank You Elohim that You wrap me in Your righteousness through Jesus Christ, The Righteous One. I pray that Your covenant will be fulfilled in my life El-Shaddai. I thank You for providing for me all my life and I know I can depend on You to continue providing because You are Jehovah Jireh. My LORD Jehovah Elgibhor, fight all my battles for me and give me peace Jehovah Shalom. Heal my body and my spirit my Jehovah Rapha. I pray in the name of The King of kings and Lord of lords, in the Holy Name of Jesus, my Lord and Saviour. To Jesus be the glory, the power, the dominion, the majesty, and the blessings since the beginning of time and now and forevermore. Amen.

Jesus loves you,

In Him,

April 28 Devotion - Knowing God through His Names - Part 8 - Jehovah Sabaoth

Jehovah Sabaoth: "The Lord of Hosts" Hosts means “hordes” both of angels and of human beings. He is Lord of the host of heaven and of ALL the inhabitants of the earth. The name is expressive of the majesty, power, and authority of God and shows that He is able to accomplish what He determines to do. This profound name means the Almighty, Sovereign, Self-Existent God over all the multitudes (the sun, moon, planets, stars, and creation itself).

Jehovah Sabaoth (The Lord of Hosts) is mentioned over 270 times in The Bible, making it the most frequently used compound name of God in Scripture.

The Lord of hosts is with us.

Psalm 46:7

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, I put my life in Your hands Jehovah Sabaoath. Forgive me Father for I have been trying to fight my human battles on my own instead of depending totally on You almighty sovereign LORD of hosts. Help me Jehovah Sabaoath to let go and let God. In the name of The King of kings and Lord of lords, in the holy name of Jesus; my Lord and Saviour; I pray to You Father God. To Jesus be the glory, the power, the dominion, the majesty, and the blessings forever and ever and unto ages of all ages.

Jesus loves you,

In Him,

April 27 Devotion - Knowing God through His Names - Part 7 - Jehovah Mekaddishkem

Jehovah Mekaddishkem: “The Lord your Sanctifier.” Portrays the Lord as our means of sanctification or as the one who sets believers apart for His purposes. God makes it clear that He alone, not the law, can cleanse His people and make them holy.

so that you may know [without any doubt] and acknowledge that I am the Lord who sanctifies you and sets you apart [for Myself].

Exodus 31:13

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a consecrated nation, a [special] people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies [the wonderful deeds and virtues and perfections] of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

1 Peter 2:9

To be effective in the will of God we must allow the process of sanctification through the prompting of The Holy Spirit and the word of God…..We are becoming a new creation in Christ. We are always in the process of being changed by His Spirit right from the time of our new birth until we reach the place of Eternal life. If we want to become Christ-like we must surrender to the process of being sanctified. The choice is ours and ours alone….The Holy Spirit will never override our will.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You Jehovah Mekaddishkem that You are Holy and that You help me become holy and that You do not leave me struggling in my own strength trying to achieve a state of holiness that's impossible to attain on my own. You are Jehovah Mekaddishkem "The God Who Makes Holy". What I cannot do on my own, You are willing to do in me if I surrender to You. Thank You that You have set me apart for yourself and called me out of darkness into Your marvelous light. Adonai, thank You for Your unfailing, inseparable, deep and everlasting love for me, Your abundant blessings in my life, and for the riches of Your grace upon my life. Father God, I praise You, revere You, worship You, I stand in awe of You, I lift You up on high, and glorify Your Holy Name. Jehovah Mekaddishkem I pray to You in the Holy Name of Jesus my Lord and Saviour. To Jesus be the glory, the power, the dominion, the majesty, and the blessings before all time, now, and forevermore. Amen.

Jesus loves you,

In Him,
