May 31 Devotion - God's Grace

Grace is God’s kindness and graciousness toward humanity regardless of our worthiness and the fact that no one deserves it.

Accept God’s grace as evidence of His love for you because that is exactly what it is:
Unconditional, undeserved love. All God wants is your love in return. Works and obedience naturally follow as sweet by-products.

As believers we have accepted Jesus as our Lord and Saviour. Through Jesus’ precious blood we have been: Redeemed, Forgiven, Justified, Reconciled, Sanctified and given Access to God.
* Redeemed
To redeem means to buy back (1 Peter 1:18-19), (Ephesians 1:7))
As believers we have been redeemed and forgiven. Our salvation has been purchased through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, the sinless Son of God who died for our sins and took upon Himself our guilt and penalty for those sins.

*
Forgiven
Salvation is not something we earn through good deeds, but because Christ went to the cross and shed His blood for me and for you (Eph. 2:8-9)

*
Justified

God is holy and must punish sin. Because Christ shed His blood in our place, the Father not only forgives our sin but also declares us righteous. God has justified us, or declared us not guilty, because by the gift of faith we have accepted Christ as Saviour. He also has declared us righteous in His sight, applying the righteousness of Christ to our accounts (Romans 5:9, 17).

*
Reconciled

We got back to being on good terms with God through the precious blood of Christ. Jesus’ blood makes it possible for God to bring us back into a right relationship with Him. The Bible says we were enemies of God until we accepted Christ. Christ’s blood is the bridge, the peace offering, that reconciles us to God (Colossians 1:19–22).

*
Sanctified

Process of being set apart for God’s purposes and being made holy. Sanctification is God’s cleansing and setting us apart unto Himself for His purposes and His will. He sanctified us when we were saved, and He continues to sanctify us to make us clean vessels properly prepared for His good works. (Hebrews 12:14)

Access
We also gained an inheritance which includes the unconditional love of
God and the riches of eternal life. We would not have access to God’s throne of grace without the shedding of Christ’s blood. The reason we can cry out and be heard by God is Christ’s sacrificial death. Praise the Lord for the glory of the blood (Hebrews 10:19).

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for the grace You extended to me, even though I do not deserve it. Thank You that I stand in Your grace. Thank You that Jesus has taken onto Him all my sins and I can through Him have a fellowship and peace with You God. I praise You Father, I rejoice in Your glory and I love You. I pray to You to help me be obedient to You and to strengthen me to produce good works through Your Holy Spirit for the advancement of Your kingdom. Father, I thank You that I am saved because Christ shed His blood in my place, and as I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Saviour, You have redeemed me, forgiven me, justified me, reconciled me and on top of all that sanctified me and allowed me to have access to You.
Through Your mercy Lord; You did not give me what I deserve, and through Your grace; You gave me what I do not deserve.
Thank You Father for Your unconditional love, my inheritance in the assurance of spending eternity with You. In the name of Your precious Son Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.

1 Peter 1:18-19 (New King James Version)
18 knowing that you were not
redeemed with corruptible things, like
silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from
your fathers, 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb
without blemish and without spot.

Ephesians 1:7 (New King James Version)

7 In Him we have
redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins,
according to the riches of His grace

Ephesians 2:8-9 (New King James Version)

8 For by grace you have been
saved through faith, and that not of
yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should
boast.

Romans 5:9 (New King James Version)

9 Much more then, having now been
justified by His blood, we shall be
saved from wrath through Him.

Colossians 1:19-20 (New King James Version)

For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell,
20 and by Him to
reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things
on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His
cross.

May 30 Devotion - Sharing our Faith

But in your hearts set Christ apart as holy [and acknowledge Him] as Lord. Always be ready to give a logical defense to anyone who asks you to account for the hope that is in you, but do it courteously and respectfully.

1 Peter 3:15

We know that God our Saviour, wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. We have a responsibility according to Jesus’ “Great Commission” to share our faith regarding God’s salvation plan through Jesus to everyone we can. So according to the advice given to us by the Apostle Peter whenever we share our faith with others we need to be prepared to give an explanation and we need to do it in a courteous and respectful manner. We need to realize that some people may reject the message and can be offended or feel threatened by it.

Some of us have members of our families that are unbelievers. We must never give up based on the rejection of the message but leave the work to The Holy Spirit and focus on the joy we will feel when we see anyone and especially those we love birthed into God’s family.
“there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.”
Luke 15:7

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, I pray that out of Your glorious riches You strengthen me with power through Your Spirit in my inner being, so that I can share my faith with those who do not believe in You Jesus as their Saviour. Help me to be prepared to answer their questions through the guidance of The Holy Spirit. Teach me to be courteous and respectful in my answers, not letting my emotions to be in play but to let The Holy Spirit think for me and speak through me. Abba Father, thank You that Your deep steadfast love for me endures forever. Thank You Father for Your abundant blessings in my life, and for the riches of Your grace upon my life. God I pray to You in the name of Your precious Son; The King of kings and Lord of lords, my Redeemer, Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, the power, the dominion, the majesty and the blessings forever and ever and unto ages of all ages.

May 29 Devotion - The inseparable love of God

Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. 37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

1 John 3:1, Romans 8:37-39

Sometimes many believers cannot feel God’s love especially those whose dominant love language is haptic communication (sense of touch) see “The 5 love languages” by Gary Chapman. There are times when I did not feel God’s love. No matter what we feel or what happens, God does exist and He deeply loves us. No matter how difficult the circumstances and tribulations we face, no matter what happens, we can never be separated from God's love.
God hasn't forgotten you. And even though it might not feel like it, He is still in control, holding you in the palm of His hand

Even there Your hand will lead me,
And Your right hand will take hold of me.

Psalm 139:10
God has a plan for you. So, even in the middle of all your heartbreak, tell God, "I'm going to hold on and wait for you to show me with Your love, no matter what happens."
We need to be able to say what David said in Psalm 27:14,
"Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord."
If we do that, we will come out of all the pain and be much stronger. Let us repeat what Job said right after he voiced his doubts:
"But [God] knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold"
Job 23:10

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank you for Your abundant blessings. God, what a wonderful act of grace; that through accepting the atoning death of Jesus Christ in my place, and accepting Jesus as Lord over my life; I am now a child of God. Thank You God that absolutely nothing can separate me from Your love and salvation; which is in Christ Jesus my Lord. Abba Father, thank You for Your deep, everlasting, and inseparable love for me. For great is Your lovingkindness and graciousness toward me. Psalm 86:13 Thank You God, that in all tribulations I am more than a conqueror through Him who loved me. Even there Your hand will lead me, and Your right hand will take hold of me. Father I rejoice in Your grace and faithfulness. I praise You, glorify You, and lift You up on high. God I pray to You in the name of Your precious Son; my Redeemer, Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, the power, the dominion, the majesty and the blessings before all time and now and forever and ever and unto ages of all ages.

In Him,
