July 30 Devotion - The Spirit of Truth

 

When He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.

واما متى جاء ذاك روح الحق فهو يرشدكم الى جميع الحق لانه لا يتكلم من نفسه بل كل ما يسمع يتكلم به ويخبركم بامور آتية .

John 16:13

In his popular book ‘Experiencing God’, Former Pastor Henry Blackaby writes:

When you enter into an intimate love relationship with God, you will know and do the will of God and experience Him in ways you have never known Him before. Only God can bring you into that kind of relationship.

The relationship comes first. If you have received no clear direction about how to serve the Lord, perhaps it is time to deepen your fellowship with Jesus. The Christian life is a marathon that begins with a walk.

 

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, I long for the Holy Spirit and the Word to lead me to an intimate love relationship with You. Jesus, please increase my faith and teach me to be Your friend, deepen my fellowship with You Jesus. I pray in Your name Jesus for The Holy Spirit to instruct me to know Your timing and what You want me to accomplish in Your service. I want You to use me to accomplish The Father’s will that ‘all men be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth’. Thank You Lord for Your deep, unfailing, and everlasting love for me, Your abundant blessings in my life, and for the riches of Your grace upon my life. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21

July 29 Devotion - The Life of God

 

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

السارق لا يأتي الا ليسرق ويذبح ويهلك .واما انا فقد أتيت لتكون لهم حياة وليكون لهم افضل .

 John 10:10

Think about your best friend for a moment. Try to remember your very first meeting. What if your best friend had handed you a long list of do’s and don’ts, telling you any violation would lessen his care for you? Obviously your relationship would never have progressed. Who would want such a friend?

Yet many Christians act as if this is their view of Jesus. But He did not hand you a list of conditions when you accepted Him. What He gave you was His life.

In the New Testament, there are several Greek words for life. Bios (origin of biology), generally translated, means “lifestyle.” Another Greek word for life is Zoe, which means “life as God has it.”

In John 10:10, Jesus said, “I came that they might have life, and might have it abundantly.” أَمَّا أَنَا فَقَدْ أَتَيْتُ لِتَكُونَ لَهُمْ حَيَاةٌ، بَلْ مِلْءُ الْحَيَاةِ

In John 11:25, He stated, “I am the resurrection and the life.” أَنَا هُوَ الْقِيَامَةُ وَالْحَيَاةُ

In both cases, Jesus used the word Zoe. How awesome to hear from our Lord Himself that the “life as God has it” is within us, a magnificent gift of His unconditional love.

Since you have this life, His life, you already have the very best. He dwells within you to encourage and empower you. As long as you are within God’s will, sustaining energy will flow through you from His eternal wellspring. Within His will, you’ll never tire of living for Jesus.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You for loving me with a deep and everlasting love, thank You for Your abundant blessings and for the riches of Your grace upon my life. Lord, through Your Word and the guidance of The Holy Spirit help me to learn from Jesus and to take the Yoke Jesus offers. Lord I pray that You strengthen me with power through Your Spirit in my inner being, so that I believe and can help others know that You Jesus are the resurrection and the life, and that life as God has it is within us. Father God, I pray to You in the name of Your precious Son; my Redeemer and Saviour; the Lord of my life, Jesus Christ. To Jesus be the power, the glory, the majesty, the blessings, and the dominion before all time and now and forevermore. Amen.

July 28 Devotion - Jesus Alone

 

“For God so [greatly] loved and dearly prized the world, that He [even] gave His [One and] only begotten Son, so that whoever believes and trusts in Him [as Savior] shall not perish, but have eternal life.

 لأَنَّهُ هكَذَا أَحَبَّ اللهُ الْعَالَمَ حَتَّى بَذَلَ ابْنَهُ الْوَحِيدَ، لِكَيْ لَا يَهْلِكَ كُلُّ مَنْ يُؤْمِنُ بِهِ، بَلْ تَكُونُ لَهُ الْحَيَاةُ الأَبَدِيَّةُ.

John 3:16

Yet we know that a man is not ]justified [and placed in right standing with God] by works of the Law, but [only] through faith in [God’s beloved Son,] Christ Jesus. And even we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the Law. By observing the Law no one will ever be justified [declared free of the guilt of sin and its penalty].

وَلَكِنَّنَا، إِذْ عَلِمْنَا أَنَّ الإِنْسَانَ لَا يَتَبَرَّرُ عَلَى أَسَاسِ الأَعْمَالِ الْمَطْلُوبَةِ فِي الشَّرِيعَةِ بَلْ فَقَطْ بِالإِيمَانِ بِيَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحِ، آمَنَّا نَحْنُ أَيْضاً بِالْمَسِيحِ يَسُوعَ، لِنَتَبَرَّرَ عَلَى أَسَاسِ الإِيمَانِ بِهِ، لَا عَلَى أَسَاسِ أَعْمَالِ الشَّرِيعَةِ، لأَنَّهُ عَلَى أَعْمَالِ الشَّرِيعَةِ لَا يُبَرَّرُ أَيُّ إِنْسَانٍ.

Galatians 2:16

 

God declares the person righteous, that is, placed in a position of right-standing with Him. A person may not be made righteous by his personal behavior, no matter how good, or by the declaration of any other human being.

وَلَكِنَّنَا، إِذْ عَلِمْنَا أَنَّ الإِنْسَانَ لَا يَتَبَرَّرُ عَلَى أَسَاسِ الأَعْمَالِ الْمَطْلُوبَةِ فِي الشَّرِيعَةِ بَلْ فَقَطْ بِالإِيمَانِ بِيَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحِ، آمَنَّا نَحْنُ أَيْضاً بِالْمَسِيحِ يَسُوعَ، لِنَتَبَرَّرَ عَلَى أَسَاسِ الإِيمَانِ بِهِ، لَا عَلَى أَسَاسِ أَعْمَالِ الشَّرِيعَةِ، أَيُّ لأَنَّهُ عَلَى أَعْمَالِ الشَّرِيعَةِ لَا يُبَرَّرُ إِنْسَانٍ.

Galatians 2:16 Amplified Bible (AMP)

 

For it is by grace [God’s remarkable compassion and favor drawing you to Christ] that you have been saved [actually delivered from judgment and given eternal life] through faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [not through your own effort], but it is the [undeserved, gracious] gift of God; ⁹ not as a result of [your] works [nor your attempts to keep the Law], so that no one will [be able to] boast or take credit in any way [for his salvation].

فَإِنَّكُمْ بِالنِّعْمَةِ مُخَلَّصُونَ، بِالإِيمَانِ، وَهَذَا لَيْسَ مِنْكُمْ. إِنَّهُ هِبَةٌ مِنَ اللهِ، 9 لَا عَلَى أَسَاسِ الأَعْمَالِ، حَتَّى لَا يَفْتَخِرَ أَحَدٌ. 10 فَإِنَّنَا نَحْنُ عَمَلُ اللهِ، وَقَدْ خَلَقَنَا فِي الْمَسِيحِ يَسُوعَ لأَعْمَالٍ صَالِحَةٍ أَعَدَّهَا سَلَفاً لِنَسْلُكَ فِيهَا.

Ephesians 2:8-10

 

You shall not worship them or serve them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous (impassioned) God [demanding what is rightfully and uniquely mine],

لَا تَسْجُدْ لَهَا وَلا تَعْبُدْهَا، لأَنِّي أَنَا الرَّبُّ إِلَهُكَ إِلَهٌ غَيُورٌ

Deuteronomy 5:9 AMP

For there is [only] one God, and [only] one Mediator between God and mankind, the Man Christ Jesus, ⁶ who gave Himself as a ransom [a substitutionary sacrifice to atone] for all, the testimony given at the right and proper time.

فَإِنَّ اللهَ وَاحِدٌ، وَالْوَسِيطُ بَيْنَ اللهِ وَالنَّاسِ وَاحِدٌ، وَهُوَ الإِنْسَانُ الْمَسِيحُ يَسُوعُ، 6 الَّذِي بَذَلَ نَفْسَهُ فِدْيَةً عِوَضاً عَنِ الْجَمِيعِ. هَذِهِ شَهَادَةٌ تُؤَدَّى فِي أَوْقَاتِهَا الْخَاصَّةِ،

1Timothy 2:5-6

But far be it from me to boast [in anything or anyone], except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.

أَمَّا أَنَا فَحَاشَا لِي أَنْ أَفْتَخِرَ إِلّا بِصَلِيبِ رَبِّنَا يَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحِ، الَّذِي بِهِ أَصْبَحَ الْعَالَمُ بِالنِّسْبَةِ لِي مَصْلُوباً، وَأَنَا أَصْبَحْتُ بِالنِّسْبَةِ لَهُ مَصْلُوباً.

Galatians 6:14

 

Jesus said to him, “I am the [only] Way [to God] and the [real] Truth and the [real] Life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.

أَنَا هُوَ الطَّرِيقُ وَالْحَقُّ وَالْحَيَاةُ. لَا يَأْتِي أَحَدٌ إِلَى الآبِ إِلّا بِي.

John 14:6

  Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. ¹⁵ For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin. ¹⁶ Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

فَمَادَامَ لَنَا رَئِيسَ كَهَنَتِنَا الْعَظِيمُ الَّذِي ارْتَفَعَ مُجْتَازاً السَّمَاوَاتِ، وَهُوَ يَسُوعُ ابْنُ اللهِ، فَلْنَتَمَسَّكْ دَائِماً بِالاعْتِرَافِ بِهِ. 15 ذَلِكَ لأَنَّ رَئِيسَ الْكَهَنَةِ الَّذِي لَنَا، لَيْسَ عَاجِزاً عَنْ تَفَهُّمِ ضَعَفَاتِنَا، بَلْ إِنَّهُ قَدْ تَعَرَّضَ لِلتَّجَارِبِ الَّتِي نَتَعَرَّضُ نَحْنُ لَهَا، إِلّا أَنَّهُ بِلا خَطِيئةٍ. 16 فَلْنَتَقَدَّمْ بِثِقَةٍ إِلَى عَرْشِ النِّعْمَةِ، لِنَنَالَ الرَّحْمَةَ وَنَجِدَ نِعْمَةً تُعِينُنَا عِنْدَ الْحَاجَةِ.

Hebrews 4:14-16

 

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

نَّكَ إِنِ اعْتَرَفْتَ بِفَمِكَ بِيَسُوعَ رَبّاً، وَآمَنْتَ فِي قَلْبِكَ بِأَنَّ اللهَ أَقَامَهُ مِنَ الأَمْوَاتِ، نِلْتَ الْخَلاصَ.

Romans 10:9

 

When we examine the above verses, we learn:

1.  God loves us

2.  Nobody comes to God except through Christ

3.  Your works (good deeds) cannot save you

4.  Salvation is by God’s grace through faith

5.  You have to announce Jesus as your Saviour and make Him lord over your life

6.  God is a jealous God

7.  Give glory only to God and not to any ‘saint’

8.  Jesus is the only mediator between us and God

9.  We can come directly to God through Jesus Christ

10. We can come directly to Jesus

   11. We do not need a mediator or intercessor between us and Christ

 

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You that You love me, and that Jesus died for the remission of my sins. Thank You God that by Your grace I am saved through faith. Thank You Jesus that through You I can come boldly to the throne of God and receive grace and mercy. Jesus, I declare that You are my Saviour and I pray that You will help me to make You Lord over my life. Thank You Jesus that I can come directly to You, and I do not need any intercessor between me and You. Father God, I praise You, revere You, worship You, I stand in awe of You, I lift You up on high, and glorify Your Holy Name.  Now to Him who is able to carry out His purpose and do infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Ephesians 3:20-21 Amen.
