March 30 Devotion - In times of weakness

He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

2 Corinthians 12:9

Sometimes our prayers are not answered and God’s grace that will be imparted will be of greater value to the individual than would be the direct answer to his/her prayer.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings. Lord, please teach me to respond prayerfully in times of weakness. Show me the purpose of what I am facing, and give me Your wisdom and strength to handle the situation according to Your will and grace for my life. May the power of Christ rest upon me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

The Humbled and Exalted Christ

Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. 9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name,

Philippians 2:5-9

Many of us wish and strive to be Christ-like. We learn from the above scriptures that Jesus was obedient, humble and loving. He loved us and died on the cross in our place. He offers us the opportunity to be forgiven, redeemed and declared righteous in the eyes of God, by accepting Him as our Saviour and declaring Him as Lord over our lives.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father thank You for Your abundant blessings. Help me LORD and give me wisdom and teach me to be Christ-like, through the Holy Spirit. Help me to be humble andDo not let any unwholesome talk come out of my mouth, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.’ Ephesians 4:29 Strengthen me Abba Father to ‘get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, and slander, along with every form of malice. Teach me to be kind and compassionate to others, forgiving them, just as Christ God forgave me.’ Ephesians 4:31-32

March 28 Devotion - ABIDING IN THE VINE

“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”

John 15:5

The life within each believer in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour; is the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit determines the godly fruit we each bear.

When we believers surrender to the Holy Spirit who dwells within us, we can be kind to ungrateful people because the Holy Spirit is unfailingly kind. We can love all people because the Holy Spirit is love. We can be patient in trials because the Holy Spirit has boundless patience.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings. LORD help me view my past failures as the first step to victory. God teach me to humbly surrender to You. Jesus You are the Vine; I am the branch. Let Your divine essence flow through me and help me to abide in You so that I can reproduce the spiritual qualities of godliness in my life. Jesus I treasure Your abiding in me and I acknowledge that without You, I can do nothing. Jesus I pray In Your Holy Name. Amen.

March 27 Devotion - Jesus Lord and Saviour

For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

John 3:17

Jesus came to earth to seek and save those who were spiritually lost and bound by sin. He came to save the lost from an eternal death.

One of the attributes of Jesus is that He knows the hearts of men and understands what goes on in our spirits. He therefore knows our desires and motivations as well as our weaknesses. His knowledge is evidenced in Mark 2:6: And some of the scribes were sitting there and reasoning in their hearts, and in Luke 9:47: And Jesus, perceiving the thought of their heart,

Jesus knows what we need and He brings our needs to The Father:

Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. 15 For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings. Thank You that You sent Jesus to save me. Thank You Jesus that you sympathize with my weaknesses and that You are my high priest to whom I take my needs, and through You Jesus I can come boldly to God’s throne of grace. Thank You God for Your mercy and grace. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

March 26 Devotion - God's Glory is upon you

God's Glory is upon you

Arise, shine; For your light has come!
And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you.

Isaiah 60:1

God has wonderful things planned for us. He will give us blessings that seem impossible to us. Even the dreams we have given up on, God has not given up on, as long as they are aligned with His will and plan for our lives.

We have to listen to God with our hearts and not let discouragement hold us back. It is time for each one of us to receive every blessing God has prepared for us individually and move forward in the destiny He has planned for each one of us.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings. Thank You Lord for choosing me to be Your child and for preparing a bright future for me. Help me; through the Holy Spirit; to accept Your blessings with a humble heart and to always honour You and praise Your Holy name. Thank You for letting Your glory shine upon me. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

March 24 Devotion - Our God of Restoration

 Our God of Restoration

I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten—
Joel 2:25

We have all experienced disappointment. Instead of dwelling on the past and living in defeat, we can choose to focus on God’s promises because He wants to restore everything that's broken in our lives.
He wants to restore our joy, our peace, our health, and our finances. But here's the key: each one of us must have a vision for himself/herself with his/her life full of joy peace, health, and living the abundant life Jesus came to give us. To live a life according to God’s will you need to be renewed by the changing of your mind, For God’s word says:
be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Romans 12: 2
Today, let us choose to focus on the future and release past hurts through forgiveness. Proclaim that you are a child of a loving God, a God of restoration.
I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings. Thank You for choosing to restore my life. Thank You for the promises and truth of Your Word that set me free. Fill me with Your power and renew my mind today so that I may stand strong and move forward on the path You have designed for me. Father, all I need, You have already provided, help me receive it. I want to live the abundant life Jesus came to give me. Thank You for Your love for me. I love You, bless You and glorify You. In Jesus' name. Amen.

March 23 Devotion- Don't worry, be happy

Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
Matthew 6:27
Are you worrying about something today?
To worry means to allow something to revolve in your mind over and over again.
God doesn't want us to live worried or anxious about anything. He knows that worry steals our peace and joy. It affects every area of our lives. Worrying affects our physical body. It affects our sleep.
We will never gain anything by worrying; in fact, we will lose precious moments that we can never get back again.
The good news is that God has promised that we can have victory over worry. It starts by making the choice to trust in Him. When we cast our cares on Him, He will give us His peace. Jesus said:

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Mathew 11:28
Decide today to put an end to worry in your life. Choose to feed your faith and fill your mind with God's promises. Come to Jesus and lay your burdens at the feet of His cross. As you trust Jesus and depend on Him and you focus on God's Word, you'll drive out worry and fill your heart with faith and expectancy; and you'll be empowered to move forward into the life of blessings He has in store for you.
I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings. I praise You and glorify You. Lord, help me today to put an end to worry in my life. Strengthen my faith and teach me to feed my faith by studying Your promises and declaring Your Word over my life. Help me Jesus to totally trust in You today and every day and to feel happy. I want to rejoice in the Lord. In Jesus' name. Amen.

March 22 Devotion - God's thoughts toward us

How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!
How great is the sum of them!

18
If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand;
When I awake, I am still with You.

Psalm 139:17-18

God cares about us and is constantly thinking of new ways to help us. Our security should lie in Him.

However if my sense of security lies in my reputation or in the things I have, my life will be in a constant state of threat and jeopardy that these possessions may be lost or stolen or devalued.  If I’m in the presence of someone of greater net worth or fame or status, I feel inferior. If I’m in the presence of someone of lesser net worth or fame or status, I feel superior.  My sense of self-worth constantly fluctuates. I don’t have any sense of constancy or anchorage or persistent selfhood.

My trust and self worth should come from Jesus. He has redeemed me and by Grace accepted to die for me, so that I may be forgiven. I only have to accept His gift and to know that my self worth is based on being a child of God. I am the son of the King of kings.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, I thank you for Your abundant blessings. Thank You for thinking of me today and every day. Thank You for loving me and for doing and planning great things in my life. Help to connect and understand Your thoughts for my life. I receive Your love which drives out all fear. Make me new as I meditate on You. In Jesus' name. Amen.

March 21 Devotion - No Anxiety

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:6–7

Let us begin every day with a declaration of victory over the specific challenges in our lives. Item by item, let us thank God for the victory, pray to the Father based upon the fact that Christ at the cross paid the price not only for our sins but for our victories.
By doing so, we activate our faith before activating our will to resist on our own. When the anxiety or pressure comes, each one of us can tell the Holy Spirit, “Christ has already dealt with this, and I have already claimed His power, so handle it through me.”

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for the abundant gifts You have given me, beginning with the gift of salvation. I need and yearn for Your peace. Please fill my heart with Your peace that transcends all understanding. You know my burdens, tears, and sorrows. I humbly bow before You and worship declaring victory through my redeemer Jesus Christ.
Lord, thank You for being present in the small details of my life. I praise You, Lord. Write Your Word on my heart, O Lord, and teach me to cherish it. Jesus, I pray in Your name that You will guard my heart and mind in You. Amen.

March 20 Devotion - A Peaceful Heart

A heart at peace gives life to the body. Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you.

Proverbs 14:30, John 14:27

Today, let us choose to keep our hearts at peace by staying focused on God the Father. Let’s give life to our bodies by staying in agreement with Him. Let His peace guard our hearts so that we can be equipped to live the abundant life He has promised to us.
I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:

Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings. Lord, thank You for Your Word which is life to my soul. I praise You Jesus because You are the Prince of Peace. Help me to stay focused on You today so that I can have Your peace in my heart and mind. Thank You for guiding my every step. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

March 19 Devotion - Be Ready to Receive

Be Ready to Receive

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life;

Psalm 23:6
God has many blessings prepared for us. He has favour in our future like we have never imagined.
He wants to take us places that we've never even dreamed of. But in order for us to partake of all these blessings, we have to be ready to receive.

Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes.
Isaiah 54:2
Think about this: if you have a ten litre container and someone has a hundred litres to give you, the problem is not with the supply. The problem is that you don't have the capacity to receive the hundred litres. But, if you get rid of that small container and get something larger, then you will be able to receive more. It's the same way with God.
If we think we've reached our limits, the problem isn't that God doesn't have the resources or the ability. The problem is that our container is too small. We have to enlarge our vision and make room for the new things God has for us.
Our attitude should be, "Yes, I am going through a tough time, but I know God is still on the throne. I know wherever I go His goodness and mercy follow me.” When we have that kind of attitude, we are increasing our capacity to receive so that we can live the abundant life Jesus has in store for each one of us.
‘I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”
John10:10
I invite you to repeat the following Prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings. Jesus, I want to experience the abundant life You came to give me. Please enlarge my vision of myself and my future, make me ready to receive all the blessings You want and are ready to give me. God, give me that mountain of faith which ensures in my core that goodness and mercy will fill the rest of my life. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

March 17 Devotion - OUR COUNSELOR

“..And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever— the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.”
John 14:16–17

We need the Holy Spirit; whom Jesus sends to live in every believer; to:

·      Comfort us when we experience pain and sorrow.
·      Guide us into the full truth about Jesus Christ.
·      Direct our steps daily, and to help us make wise choices and Godly decisions.
·      Remind us of God’s commandments and the truth of Jesus Christ so we will know what to do and what to say in any situation in which we find ourselves.
·      Convict us of our sins and errors so we can repent and make positive changes in our lives.
·      Defeat evil on our behalf.
·      Conform us to the image of Christ Jesus.
·      We need the Holy Spirit to make us whole.

I invite you to repeat the following Prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings. Lord, I praise You and I want to be so intimate with You that I can hear Your voice and have divine wisdom for every decision. Heavenly Father, I know Your way is best, no matter how good the other options appear. Attune my ears and heart to the voice of Your Holy Spirit. Make me willing to obey. Thank You for Your faithfulness, dear Lord. I praise You that Your love will never let me go. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

March 16 Devotion - We Can Overcome the World

For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world— our faith.
1 John 5:4 (English Standard Version)

Christian believers (those who are born of God) know that faith gives believers victory that has (already!) overcome the world. The Greek word for "victory" is the word Nike (a word now used for sport shoes and sportswear, symbolizing total victory)

Faith provides the power source and the means to victory. The trust we believers have in God and in Christ enables us to participate in the victory Christ won for us through His sacrifice and resurrection.

The term "world” describes the world system that opposes God. The collective power, given by God to us believers, can overcome this opposition.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings. God help me to fight the good fight of faith, because I understand that that's what allows You to show up and turn negative situations around. Lord, today I believe that I have been born of God and there is victory already planned in my future, I stand strong with the attitude that I have overcome the world through my faith in Jesus Christ my Lord and Saviour. Amen.
