For God
did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world
through Him might be saved.
John 3:17
Jesus came
to earth to seek and save those who were spiritually lost and bound by sin. He
came to save the lost from an eternal death.
One of the attributes of Jesus is
that He knows the hearts of men and understands what goes on in our spirits. He
therefore knows our desires and motivations as well as our weaknesses. His
knowledge is evidenced in Mark 2:6: And some of the
scribes were sitting there and reasoning in their hearts, and in Luke 9:47: And Jesus, perceiving the thought of their
heart,
Jesus knows
what we need and He brings our needs to The Father:
Seeing then that we have a great
High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us
hold fast our confession. 15 For we do
not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in
all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace,
that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
I invite you to repeat the
following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for Your abundant blessings.
Thank You that You sent Jesus to save me. Thank You Jesus that you sympathize
with my weaknesses and that You are my high priest to whom I take my needs, and
through You Jesus I can come boldly to God’s throne of grace. Thank You God for
Your mercy and grace. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
In Him,
Wagdi Henein
