December 1 Devotion - Glory in Tribulations

And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; 4 and perseverance, character; and character, hope.
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

Romans 5:3-4
Romans 8:28

                 A.
Are you experiencing tribulations? Are you worried? Are you depending only on another human being to help you?

                   B.
Are you experiencing tribulations? Do You love God? Do you trust God? Do you have His purpose in your heart?

If you are in the ‘B’ category: Good news……….. Everything will work out for your good.

If you are in the ‘A ’category:  work on choosing ‘B’.

Listen to what God says:

It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man. Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Psalm 118:8, Proverbs 3:5-6, Philippians 4:7

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, help me to always have an attitude of gratitude. Lord increase my love for You, my trust in You, and my dependence on You. Guide me to always acknowledge Your love for me and Your grace in my life. Convert any tribulations in my life to an increased hope through an increase in my perseverance level, and an improvement and strength in my character. I rejoice in the fact that all things will work for good in my life. I also rejoice that You are directing my path and that through Jesus; my Lord and Saviour; my heart and mind are guarded. To Jesus be the glory and the power and the dominion forever and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.

November 30 Devotion - We are united with the Lord

But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.

1 Corinthians 6:17

When we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour we have the same spirit, in measure, which Christ our Mediator with God has without measure. We have the Spirit of God, as a spirit of faith and holiness and of adoption. We are also sealed for eternity.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You Lord that as a follower of Your Son Jesus I am joined with Jesus and enjoy the same spirit. I pray that You strengthen me so that I can continue to declare to the world that Christ is my Lord and Saviour and friend and behave in a such a way that pleases Your spirit within me. Thank You for loving me with a deep and everlasting love, thank You for Your abundant blessings in my life, and for the riches of Your grace upon my life. In the holy name of Jesus I pray. To Jesus be the glory and the power and the dominion forever and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.

Jesus loves you,
In Him,

November 29 Devotion - Charge your spirit

Remain in Me, and I [will remain] in you. Just as no branch can bear fruit by itself without remaining in the vine, neither can you [bear fruit, producing evidence of your faith] unless you remain in Me. 5 I am the Vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in Me and I in him bears much fruit, for [otherwise] apart from Me [that is, cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing.

John 15:4-5

We all have mobile phones that need to be recharged on a daily basis. We make sure we charge our phones because if we don’t, they will turn off due to a ‘dead’ battery. What about our spirits? They need to be charged too. The electricity that charges our spirits is the Word of God, and spending time with God praying, meditating and listening to the direction of the Holy Spirit. Jesus said that He is the vine, we are the branches. We need to be nourished through the sap that runs from the vine to the branch so that we can continue to be charged. Just as we make sure that our phones are charged, we need to make sure we charge our spirits.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for loving me with a deep and everlasting love, thank You for Your abundant blessings in my life, and for the riches of Your grace upon my life. Lord help me to develop the habit of spending time with You daily so that I may be nurtured and sanctified. Let Your God-breathed scriptures convict me of my sin and correct my errors and restore me to obedience. Train me in righteousness Lord so that I may live in conformity to Your will, both publicly and privately—behaving honourably with personal integrity and moral courage. Lord Jesus strengthen me to remain in You so that You remain in me. Jesus I need to bear fruit and I know that I cannot bear fruit by myself without remaining in You Jesus because You are the vine, and I am the branch and without You I can do nothing. Father God, charge me daily. God I praise You, revere You, worship You, I stand in awe of You, I lift You up on high, and glorify Your Holy Name. In the mighty name of Your only begotten Son Jesus; my Lord and Saviour; I pray to You Father. To Jesus be the power, the glory, the majesty and the dominion forever and ever and unto ages of all ages. Amen.

In Him,

November 28 Devotion - Following God's direction

By faith Abraham, when he was called [by God], obeyed by going to a place which he was to receive as an inheritance; and he went, not knowing where he was going.

 Hebrews 11:8 AMP

What we hear from our heavenly Father will be affected by our attitude. Our relationship with God also will be impacted for better or worse by how we view God Himself. The only way to view God the right way is to know Him intimately through His Word.

I invite you to repeat the following prayer for yourself:
Abba Father, thank You for loving me with a deep and everlasting love and for Your abundant blessings in my life. LORD, I pray that out of Your glorious riches You strengthen me with power through Your Spirit in my inner being, so that I can obey You and depend totally on You in all matters spiritual and worldly. God I praise You, revere You, worship You, I stand in awe of You, I lift You up on high, and glorify Your Holy Name. In the mighty name of Jesus; my Lord and Saviour; I pray to You Father. To Jesus be the power, the glory, the majesty and the dominion forever and ever and unto ages of all ages. Amen.

Jesus loves you,
In Him,
